CDBS14 Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 lol. ok here is the last verdict for penguins flying. they do not fly, i asked my bio teacher and the head of the science department. penguins are considered birds evolutionarily, they have feathers and beaks, only one bird is an exception as it does not have a beak. penguins dont fly because they are adapted to jump into the water and dash like a torpedo their wings will never allow them to fly or even glide, other examples of flightless birds are ostriches, dodo bird, kiwi. they have wings but they dont fly, because of natural selection those wings became almost useless.
