Disciple74 Posted September 28, 2008 Report Posted September 28, 2008 http://ps3.gamespy.com/playstation-3/socom-confrontation/914141p1.html The real way this map should have alway looked. Quote
inadub Posted September 28, 2008 Report Posted September 28, 2008 good find.. but i think it was dumb to bring back Frostfire.. it has always been a seal map and there appears to be no difference.. i can remember if we had a clan war on S2.. 85% of the clans would choose FF seals.. cuz they were almost guaranteed a win.. and personally i never saw what was so special about this map.. only time will tell i guess.. but personally i would have preferred some effort going into an expansion of it.. or a new map.. again.. thanks for sharing though cuz i had not seen that yet. I would think that there is no way they could say here take this map and play 16 vs 16 on it. I would hope there are parts they are just not showing yet. I know i seen something on fire out in the water. Maybe they have underground parts that go to different parts. I did see a chopper by the terr spawn also. Quote
ChuckMoney Posted September 28, 2008 Report Posted September 28, 2008 I used to pick Terr on this map and my clan would be in the tunnels with Shotty's! Quote
inadub Posted September 28, 2008 Report Posted September 28, 2008 KingJunK ]I used to pick Terr on this map and my clan would be in the tunnels with Shotty's! Lol that was our plan most of the time when we had to defend.. we then would pick Foxhunt .. which we were pretty good at.. ahh that map i miss.. however i know that this map is a favorite for a lot of people.. so it in fact probably was a good move for them to bring it back.. i just dont really care for the what once was lopsidedness, and it appears to be no different.. hopefully there is more to the map.. but i also remember seeing that photo of the developer sitting at his desk w/ the 2 screens of FF... one w/ textures and rendered out.. and then the other was wire frame of the map.. which was no larger then what we see here.. WARPIG Posted September 28, 2008 Report Posted September 28, 2008 I agree. I don't see any difference on that FF. I thought they would at least do what they did on Xroads and expand on it a bit. Even just a little for bigger rooms. That's just another oil platform in the distance on fire. I don't think it has any significance to the map. On a positive note, it does look sweet, Especially at night. For the love of god they better bring back mines by game drop date or I'm going to be one pissed off little piggy! > Quote
inadub Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 is it possible that mines are special force specific? just with some guns being that way.. i would think that some of that might be dependent on who you choose? i have not read anything about it.. but it almost makes sense.. except that you dont pick the bad guys.. do you? [503] Cynical2U Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 I myself think that they should leave PMN mines out of the game. Besides the 203's and RPG's in my opinion this was one of the cheapest weapons they put on the game. fuck I hate PMN mines... I want the AK-105 and Chain Reaction just so I can snipe some fools from the seals spawn with it. ahhh those were the days. Quote
