Chaka Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 is this like it was on combined assault co-op? where you could hold down l2 or something like that on the target and it marks him? Quote
at3dave Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 i been tryin to figure out what this is too, i thought this was the red dots on our radar or something if they are in view, if its off i thought there was no red dots regardless of if you can see them or not. Am i Wrong? Quote
[-VR-] Tool_Minion Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 No. The target spotting is an engaged enemy within your area. They show as a red dot on your compass. Quote
SHANE23 Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 I thought if a team mate saw an enemy it showed as a red dot. Quote
BigMoneyNacku Posted October 29, 2008 Report Staff Posted October 29, 2008 SHANE23 ]I thought if a team mate saw an enemy it showed as a red dot. That's what I thought too. If it was you or a teamte that saw them, they'd show up. Quote

[-VR-] Tool_Minion Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 What would you gentlemen consider an 'engaged' enemy? Quote
BigMoneyNacku Posted October 29, 2008 Report Staff Posted October 29, 2008 I went and looked in my strategy guide at lunch. It says Target Spotting is when your teammate see's them or is in a firefight with them, the enemy shows up as a red dot. It didn't say anything about seeing them through a scope. Quote

TOW-19 Posted October 30, 2008 Report Posted October 30, 2008 Is there anything about a "distance factor" in any of that book? Like....does a player just need to pan around and as long as an enemy player appears on the screen, no matter how small, and the target would pop up as a red dot? I mean, that would be pretty generous. Quote

Matty2D Posted October 30, 2008 Report Posted October 30, 2008 The red dots only show up if you are within a certain range. I remember on a video way back them saying it was something like 50 meters. That seems right to me distance wise. And, they don't have to be spotted through a scope, and if an enemy is shooting and your team doesn't spot him, he doesn't show up on the radar (like COD). Quote
