DK_MaluNYMets Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 Does anyone have any problems with their mic sound settings on the PS3? My mic seems to be very low when I talk but my settings on the ps3 is on 5. Also I have tired 3 different mics and it doesn't help. Anyone know whats the problem? Quote
Neoblackhound Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 If its them hearing you then you'll have to talk louder you already have it on 5 (the volume in settings controls how they hear you). If its that you can't hear try using the volume on the mic that or try reconnecting the mic you use. Not much help but yea. Quote
at3dave Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 What mic is it? Im sure you tried changing it on the Actual Mic if your using the Socom headset. I would try using a wired headset or a different one if you have one, to compare the volumes, see if its the specific mic or not. Also, what neo said, delete the mic alltogether and start all over with the sync operations. Quote
DK_MaluNYMets Posted January 1, 2009 Author Report Posted January 1, 2009 Its on red when i test the mic on the ps3 but when i log on socom and test it again it only goes up a few bars. Same talking volume and even if i scream into it.. doesn't go above those bars.... Tried 3 different mics. The darklite bluetooth, regular socom mic bluetooth and a wired mic i have. Same levels. Neoblackhound Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 I don't know what to tell you except delete all and try only using one. Quote

SEQUOYAH Posted January 1, 2009 Report Staff Posted January 1, 2009 Usually when people have their mic setting on 5, it is loud as hell to everyone listening. Turn it back down to about 2. Thats more than enough. Quote

DK_MaluNYMets Posted January 2, 2009 Author Report Posted January 2, 2009 lol. Its the stupid PS3 or socom. I need to get a new one tomm. Quote
IRISH BULL Posted January 2, 2009 Report Posted January 2, 2009 I think its SOCOM, I have the opposite problem. My mic volume sometimes turns way up. My mic volume is set at 2, but sometimes when I log on its so loud people start yelling at me to turn my shit down. I have to go back to the XMB, and reset the volume even though it says its on 2. BTW, the only time this happens is when I play SOCOM. Quote

DK_Swine__ Posted January 2, 2009 Report Posted January 2, 2009 Have you tried adjusting the volume in Socom from the sound option screen? Quote
DK_MaluNYMets Posted January 2, 2009 Author Report Posted January 2, 2009 Yup tried it. I put in other games and my mic is fine. it is just for Socom so I don't know what to do. Quote
