I just read they are giving this away for free now?! I personally do not own the game, but it seems a little shitty if you paid $10 for it and they release it for free less then a month later. But it appears that this patch has fixes in it that you guys already have.

pc gaming was awesome, but my computer slowly became obsolete. plus, making maps for cod2 meant you never got bored with the game.

That's the thing about PC gaming. You can buy the top of the line gaming PC right now and in 3 months, it will be an obsolete piece of trash. PC gaming advances so quickly that it's hard to keep up. Every game takes more and more power to run it.
