  1. Ok I am just going to say it, you are a fk'n idiot... I am not a member of Gamasutra or many of the sites listed... I can tell you where they got the information cause it says it at the very top of Gamasutra.. And I think there has been several answers to your question that each member of the winning team was sent the guide of their choice direct from Brady Games... but I also noticed your people have fixed your website and you guys are very heavliy involved with EBZ... and you complain about a single ad at the top of our site... it took me 2.5 minutes to load up the front page on my crappy dsl here at my work apartment. You know please join the staff there... I know they are still upset that we would not do a banner trade with them. But that is our business...
  2. On the official forums of Call of Duty: Black Ops JD_2020 has announced the official details of patch 1.04. He also announced that they are resetting all the cheaters, glitchers and boosters so the game is more fair. Hey PS3 gamers, We are listening to you and we’ve been busy working on updates based on feedback from the community. We have already deployed a number of updates, and there will be many more to come. Stay tuned right here for all the latest info. IN PROGRESS Patch 1.04 is nearing the end of Phase 2 testing. Going into Phase 3 submissions on 12/6. Patching process: http://www.callofduty.com/board/viewtopic.php?f=70&t=346952 Issues Addressed: • Resolved several issues with parties getting disbanded unexpectedly. • Additional measures to prevent the “Transmission error” and other disconnects. This was most likely to occur with large parties where party members had mixed NAT types. • Updated handling for UPnP-enabled routers to improve matchmaking conditions where users had strict or moderate NAT types. Also added in-game communications so that all players are aware of their NAT type in the Player Match party lobby. • Addressed an issue with VOIP icons not appearing when USB headsets were plugged in prior to game launch. • Prevention of exploit that allowed players to keep custom classes and killstreaks after prestige. • Addressed an issue where Flak Jacket Pro would not always protect against ground fires left by Napalm Strikes. • Prevention of users losing their killstreak reward when switching classes at the start of a new round in round-based game modes. • Addressed an issue where the incorrect perks would appear when spectating another player under certain circumstances. • Added round start explosive delay to China Lake grenade launcher to give it the same round start limitations as other explosives. • Contracts will now reset when the player Prestiges. • Prevention of Valkyrie rocket exploding upon release under rare conditions. • Prevention of Gunship failing to give player full control under rare conditions. • Prevention of an issue where a player will get teleported outside the map boundaries under very specific circumstances. • Additional security measures to enhance detection and banning capabilities.Gameplay Tuning: • Limit the ability to re-roll supply drops using Hardline Pro to Care Packages only, no other killstreak drops. • Added a negative influencer to all spawn points to decrease the chances of spawning near an enemy. This will further improve spawning protection on top of previous updates. • Additional sound mix tuning for Ninja Pro users – increased ranges and volume of enemy footsteps, and removed player footstep sounds on concrete material types. • Increased headshot multipliers for sniper rifles. Sniper rifles with suppressors equipped will now always be ensured one-shot kill headshots. • Subtle increase in sniper rifle accuracy when scoping in. • Added a render delay to the red diamond player indicators that appear when controlling the Gunship, Valkyrie Rocket and Chopper Gunner. When a player first spawns, this will not appear for a period of time. • Additional minor reductions in knife lunge. LIVE FIXES 11/23 · Addition of Hardcore HQ & Hardcore CTF game modes to the playlists · Prevention of the ability to earn XP in Private Matches 11/18 · Improvements to the spawn system to resolve an issue where negative spawn influencers from specific game events were not always being deleted after the danger had cleared – in some matches, this was causing good spawns to be erroneously flagged by the game as bad spawns, which in turn forced actual bad spawns to get selected later in the match · Experimental slight reduction in knife lunge range – this is a trial change · Prevention of Prestige glitching – trying to prestige from Combat Training will reset your stats but not give you prestige 11/17 (full patch) · Improved matchmaking to find matches significantly faster · Improved matchmaking to ensure that players are more effectively matched to games with the best networking conditions · Improved host selection to ensure that the best host is always selected in the pre-game lobby · Improved party system to ensure that parties don’t get broken apart · Disable ability to join Private Match, Combat Training and Theater lobbies when searching for Player Match games · Server-side and game-side changes to decrease the amount of failed Film uploads · Weekly and Monthly leaderboards will now track all kills, deaths and assists properly (All Time leaderboards were not affected by this) · Prevention of Combat Training stats getting crossed with Player Match stats under rare conditions · Prevention of temporary loss of functionality when a button was being held down at the point of a disconnect · Additional fine-tuning of audio levels and ranges for footsteps and gunfire · Additional fine-tuning of audio levels for bomb plants/defuses · Additional online security enhancements · Optimization to prevent friends list from spamming user while in game – will improve game performance for users with large numbers of friends 11/16 · Prevention of killstreak selection getting disabled in Combat Training under rare conditions · Array: Added collision to prevent players from partially clipping into a tree · Launch: Added collision to prevent players from strafe jumping onto an invisible ledge at the base of the rocket near B3 · Summit: Added collision to prevent players from jumping to a location outside of the map boundary when in Custom Games where player speed is maxed out · Havana: Added collision to prevent players from jumping onto an invisible ledge above a doorway at C2 · Nuketown: Adjusted a spawn point that would spawn players on top of a mannequin’s head when that mannequin was randomly spawned in that location 11/12 - Launch: User could access a small platform outside of the intended play space below the rocket gantry by jumping to a very specific location; now blocked from access - Launch: User could access a small area inside geometry at vents near Dom flag A by going prone and moving around in a very specific location; now blocked from access - Some users reported that weapon attachment challenges were not resetting after prestige; now all are guaranteed to clear as soon as selecting the prestige option 11/11 - Online number counts were not updating properly; these are now reporting exact online numbers - Parties getting disbanded when host did not find a match quickly 11/10 - Users’ rank and stats can get wiped under very specific conditions 11/9 - Radar sweep when there are only 2 players left in One in the Chamber will stop functioning if the 2 players have multiple lives when the sweep starts - Crash when viewing content (films, clips, etc) in the Community & Recent Games menu 11/5 - Villa: User can clip into rock at west edge of grid zone B2 and see through to the other side - Crisis: User can clip into LVT between grid zone A3 and B3 and see through to the other side - User can get an infinite number of ‘Sam Turret’, ‘Care Package’ and ‘Sentry Gun’ killstreaks (commonly referred to as the “care package glitch”) Regards, -JD So there’s no release date yet, but it should be soon. 3. Talk about memories... i had the pleasure of working with some of the greatest BBoys and of course the legendary Q-Bert back in the early 2K's. I loved it when he pick the kid up though... that was classic.
  4. Duval, I have sent the Advisors a note to help you out and I will get our Dev team to look at what is going on with your account
  5. FYI, if you do a little more research like putting "Bradygames and Urgent Fury" in google you will find the press release sent out about Bradygames and Urgent Fury... http://www.gamasutra.com/view/pressreleases/53717/Urgent_Fury_welcomes_BradyGames_as_a_prize_sponsor_for_the2010_tournament_season.php
  6. Your a little begind, it was posted up here yesterday
  7. Yup, I am guessing it may be a typo
  8. Do you want my business plan... dude the probing questions are extremely offensive at this point.
  9. Yah a great read about your true intent then and now
  10. You know what, I just realized your intent is to bring up the fact that you do not like us enforcing our rules...
  11. Once again I am going to point out a flaw in your stats reading... I posted we have 62k page views a Month you pointed out that we have 1190 visitors a month, yes that would be the unique users we have had in the last month in the US only... Unique being the key term... our community is a large base of return visitors coming back many times a day... and if you are saying I denied you request to advertise a tournament site on UF, yes that would be something I would do... ask anyone here.
  12. Its funny you keep repeating staff are attacking you, there were a limited members of Staff that addressed you, Inadub, Jack, Viper, Bandit and Tool... there are far more posters here from the community than staff. But we went there in the Socom post too. Am I going to ban you, nope, is the community going to defend themselves, yes. You stirred up a hornet's nest just like you did on Socom... our community is very dedicated to this site we call home. I still find it funny when you talk about pop up ads, we don't have any... we do have a collapsable tool bar "ad " as you call it... maybe that is what you are referring too.
  13. I will be happy to provide your Socom post and I find it funny how you can post what you just did without realizing you are contradicting yourself... And I will confirm, but if i remember correctly your post was not removed at your request... So did you not say you have never competed in UF and never plan too?

  16. I know I can become the Spokes person every now and then For AC, John and I... but between them and our WILD Staff believe me guys they keep us aprised of what is going on with the community... On a side Note, you guys will know more about Jack very soon and if you listen to a few podcasts back... he intro'd himself... For those that have gotten the UF Hats which includes the Zipper Socom Team, we have had nothing but great reviews, also on the posters!!!
  17. Good question Red, Urgent Fury Holdings, LLC is not a publically traded company, are you looking for it to be, would you like to buy stocks in Urgent Fury maybe... hmm maybe we can IPO like Google did... what do you think Red?
  18. I see once again you are going to stir up some issues and I will address a few of your points and your failure at research... Since you are going to stir the pot: Kontrol Freak did Sponsor one of our Tournaments back in 2009. Brady Games has been a long time sponsor of Urgent Fury offering Guides as prizes. And you are correct Urgent Fury does utilize Zedo network as our ad server. I must have missed your reply pulling up a post from 2009 where no one participated in the podcast giveaways to get the free sets of accessories from KF. So you have done a little research to call out some of the software we use and you try to call us out as falsifying our claim of having a dedicated server... so let me fix your problem here. As many who have purchased products from Zazzle have been very satisfied, and POD are always going to be higher cost since we are not ordering bulk, this is why it is known ans Print on Demand. And once again you want to know how much we are making... since we are a pro seller, why don't you go research how we got there... problem is the program changed and I am not going to tell you what level we are. You are right we use Enom for our Registrar, in which I have had a Registrar account with Enom since early 2000's. And we utilize this for those that need to register a new domain for hosting. Our hosting packages provide detail on the main page, and you can get additional information simply by asking or visiting https://myhosting.urgentfury.net/cart.php where you can find some more detail about which package we recommend for a site... So if you want to utilize a site that shares 100's of websites on a single server, feel free... Our hosting clients which include some clans and some businesses enjoy the fact that when they need help they get personal attention. Not a call center. Your research about our dedicated server is close but no cigar. Our dedicated server is hosted and managed by The Planet, and guess what, Hostgator is there too. If you go to The Planet's site, they even had a case study on them. So yes we share the same Data Center in Houston. So you were very close. Funny I guess your questions about the Clan Advertising network are a little flawed as well, So the site has not been maintained my bad... and as for checking our Quantcast stats, I have not taken the time to keep the site up to date... and Please provide me the email that I sent disapproving your website to Shane @ urgentfury.com. And to give you a little help reading the stats. If you look at our page views on a monthly basis... since we started using quantcast, we have averaged approximately 62k page views a month... You seem to be demanding to know our business, why is that... who gives a rats ass what we spend, what our ad revenue is, why a company chooses to sponsor us... frankly it is none of your business... you have publicly ridiculed us many times and now you come to our house to do it again... I will let the community tell you why they are here.
  19. Treyarch Developer JD_2020 decided to post the process they have to go through to get a patch sent out over at the Black Ops Forums: Hey Black Ops community – To answer many questions about the game update / patching process, I’ve provided a short walkthrough below to explain how it works and provide some basic timelines for each phase in the cycle. Phase 1: Gather feedback, reproduce reports and implement solutions.</p> • As soon as the game is released, we scour the forums and play online with fans to gather feedback. • The QA team reproduces all feedback reports in a test environment, enters them into our database, and assigns them to dev team members. o Like any scientific process, reports must be reproduced in the test lab before they can be addressed. With millions of users playing the game, something reported by only a small number of users may not be easily reproducible. For this, it’s important that all reports in the forums provide as much helpful information as they can. [*]• Estimated time: Generally 2 weeks to build a comprehensive list, reproduce in the test environment, research cause, and implement solutions. This phase is typically the longest part of the process and can easily take more than 2 weeks, depending on the number and complexity of reports. Once a game is released, every change made is high risk, and adequate time is needed to implement the best possible solution. Phase 2: Test internally. [*]• Once the highest priority reports have been resolved, the updated game goes through a rigorous internal testing procedure. [*]• If new issues are discovered or the original issue is not fixed appropriately, more time is needed to research and implement new solutions. Video games are highly complex pieces of software. Every change made has a potential impact somewhere else in the game, so the entire game has to be tested with each update. [*]• Estimated time: Minimum of 1 week to thoroughly test the entire game and internally approve the update for release. Phase 3: Console manufacturers test and approve the update for release. [*]• As soon as our QA team has approved the update internally, it is then submitted to the console manufacturers for their own testing and approval. At this point, it is out of our hands. [*]• If the game update is approved by the console manufacturers, the cycle is done and the update is prepped for release. If the game update is rejected, an accelerated version of the entire process starts again. [*]• Estimated time: Minimum of 1 week to get an approval. [*] o Note: PC patches do not require manufacturer approvals, but because of the high number of variables in computer hardware and OS configurations, both Phase 1 and Phase 2 require additional time that does not exist on consoles which have standardized hardware. The PC patch development cycle takes about the same amount of time start-to-finish as that of consoles. Phase 4: Release [*]• Once the game update is approved by both internal QA and the console manufacturers, it gets prepped for release. This is a very short phase, but it can add time to the process depending on a number of variables. [*]• Estimated time: Generally 2-3 days. That is a high level overview of the patching / update process. Time estimates listed above are averages – it usually takes at least a full month to complete a game update cycle. Often, there are multiple full game updates in the works simultaneously, which is why you see less than a month between full game updates. In some emergency cases, this time can be accelerated, but this is very rare. The description above outlines the process for publishing permanent game updates and does not apply in the same way to hot fixes. Hot fixes are temporary, server-side fixes that are used to patch in simple adjustments to the game. These are not permanent fixes, and they only apply to online portions of the game. Most significant changes to the game cannot be made with a hot fix. There you have it – hopefully this removes some of the mystery of the game update and patching process. Enjoy the game and continue to communicate your feedback to us! Regards, -JD So there you have it, it takes about a month to get a patch out. The game has been out for three weeks now, so don’t expect a patch until about Christmas time. Score: 0 (0 votes cast) Urgent Fury Command: More...

  21. For the love of god CDBS, read my posts before you try to enter words into my mouth... You have been removed because of your deceptive practices... you may have told Tool that Devine is going to be your rep, but it was YOU that were logged into Devines account posting in the Clan Rep Section, posting war reports, etc. Do you just not get it... do I need to make is even more simple for you... please tell me what we have to do to get through to you... I feel like I am talking to my teenager
  22. With great regret, once again we must remove a clan from the sanctuary of Urgent Fury. CDBS of [~INF] InFamous has once again shown his inability to compete here at Urgent Fury with Honor and Integrity. After completing their one year suspension, we decided to allow them into Gauntlet to prove their worthiness to be a part of our great community. Well a chain of events set off the true nature of the Leader. On Sunday I was browsing the normal sites I do to check the happenings out there in Tournament Land… I discovered that our friends over at one of the other sites had reactivated the forums and activity was starting back up. So I was seeing what was going on when I discovered that CDBS was listed as a staff member there. So considering I was not logged in as I don’t have a user account over there (I think) and was able to visit his profile, I felt that it was proper that we enforce the rules set forth in the Tournament Site Owners, Staff and Contractor Post http://www.urgentfury.com/showthread.php/71858-Attention-Administrators-of-Similar-Tournament-Sites?goto=newpost, that we equally uphold the rule for CDBS. I posted in the CR Section for him to find another Clan Rep and he was ineligible to play in a UF event as posted in the above ruling. Though there was a little pushback as I call it, I politely explained weather or not the Site was active, any clan member could visit the site, show us that he is Staff and we would be called out to the carpet to say why he was being allowed to play when the post states differently. I then proceeded to advise if the staff designation was removed he could return to UF, but the rep would not be changed back as we have been down that road already with a clan in this event. We also felt it was proper to allow INF to get a clan rep as only CDBS was ineligible to play in the event, not the whole clan. So a day or so passes and one of our staff pointed out that CDBS and Divine shared the same IP addresses while logging in. We after investigating and questioning Divine why the IPs were the same, it was verified that CDBS was the one using Divine’s account to access the Clan Rep section and reply to our questions the whole time. He proceeded to tell us that Divine was unavailable for the moment so he logged in to send the Tournament Admin a PM stating he (Devine) was the Clan rep now. So there are three IP/DNS entries that come into play, I am removing any pertanent info that can be used to identify the IP address of the users involved. First let’s start with CDBS: user-*********.cable.mindspring.com This would be your regular internet provider at home NYUFGA-WLESSAUTHCLIENTS-01.NATPOOL.NYU.EDU and this would be the school you attend Next Devine: pool-**************.dllstx.fios.verizon.net. This would be your FIOS at home Now if you notice it is very clear, CDBS is in New York and Devine is in Texas, so this rules out I went over to his house and used his computer to post. With that stage set here is what transpired… we were advised that Devine was on the road headed home from Turkey Day festivities, and that CDBS logged into his account to send a pm to the Admin about being the new Clan rep (A step that was not even needed, all CDBS had to do was let us who the clan rep was going to be). This was sent by PM from Devin’s account by CDBS… ok no big deal understood the situation there… We then took a little closer look at the posts and found that New York Devin (CDBS) was the one posting in the Clan Rep section was not from Texas, he was from New York… now as I stated above, and Divine/CDBS told us, Devine lives in Texas and CDBS lives in NY… So due to the deception raised here by using another clan mates login to act as the Clan rep and the inability to show that you learned anything from your one year ban from UF Events, INF will be removed and permanently banned from Urgent Fury events. We understand this affects the whole clan and not any of you had anything to do with only it’s leader. But as your Leader he should set the example of how you can show Honor, Integrity and Discipline. Instead he once again brought forth his true colors and attempted to deceive this community. Good luck with your future endeavors and adventures. Urgent Fury Command On a side note Lucky’s status as Ranger and Ranger Judge has been removed upon his resignation and conformation that he will be forming his own tournament site. We wish him luck and he understands that he along with his clan will be ineligible to participate in any UF event.
