  14. February 9, 1928 – May 10, 2010 Painter Frank Frazetta, best known for his striking fantasy work with characters like Conan the Barbarian, Vampirella and the original Death Dealer, died today at the age of 82. While Frazetta's direct contributions to video games were unfortunately minimal—a video game based on his Death Dealer character was, at one point, in development at the defunct Acclaim Entertainment—his influence was not. His dark fantasy style was an influence on Double Fine's heavy metal fantasy game Brutal Legend and Legend of Zelda series illustrator Yusuke Nakano lists Frazetta as an inspiration on his own work. Frazetta's take on Conan was the foundation for the artistic direction of THQ's 2007 video game based on Robert E. Howard's character. Frazetta's lush and moody paintings graced album covers, movie posters and dozens of fantasy publications, including numerous Conan book covers, Eerie, Creepy, Vampirella and Heavy Metal magazine. Frazetta suffered a stroke following a Mother's Day dinner, reports the New York Times. He died at a Fort Myers, Florida hospital earlier today. If you're unfamiliar with the works of Frank Frazetta, do yourself a favor and correct that immediately.
  15. IMDB has a list but I know for a fact that Will Wheaton is doing a voice for the game, but he's not on the list. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1479962/

  17. Hall Of Famer Taken Into Custody After Allegedly Raping, Beating A Teen In Suffern Holiday Inn Former New York Giants great Lawrence Taylor was arrested after allegedly raping and beating a teenage girl in a New York hotel Thursday, CBS 2 has learned. Taylor, 51, was taken into custody by the Town of Ramapo police at the Holiday Inn Holidome Hotel in Suffern. Details surrounding the rape have not yet been released other than the location and that it occurred early this morning. Charges against the Hall of Fame linebacker will be filed once police complete their investigation. A news conference is expected later Thursday afternoon where police will reveal more details. Taylor is expected to be charged with third-degree rape. It is believed that a 15-year-old girl complained to the police after she said that Taylor hit her, meaning assault charges could be coming also. When police investigated the teen's claims and saw Taylor in the hotel, he was arrested overnight, CBS 2 has learned. Taylor's lawyer is former Rockland County District Attorney Kenneth Gribetz, who said his client is innocent and will enter a not guilty plea. "We spoke to Mr. Taylor and we're convinced that he will be ultimately exonerated of these charges," Gribetz told CBS 2. "He's upset. He's obviously detained, he's upset and he wants to prove his innocence and be exonerated as quickly and as expeditiously as possible." Taylor will be arraigned at 3 p.m. Thursday, Gribetz said. The Journal News said the teen apparently was a runaway from New York City controlled by a pimp. Taylor, affectionately known by his fans as "L.T.," spent his entire 13-year career with the Giants and is considered one of the greatest defensive players in NFL history. He was part of the Giants' vaunted "Big Blue Wrecking Crew," leading the team to Super Bowl victories in 1987 and 1991. He was named Defensive Player of the Year three times and won the Most Valuable Player award in 1986. Taylor recorded 132.5 sacks in his career, which doesn't included the 9.5 sacks in 1981 when the statistic wasn't official. He was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 1999. His personal life has been marred by trouble before. He's admitted to using cocaine during his NFL career, and was suspended several times by the league for failing drug tests. In 2001, Taylor was convicted of possessing drug paraphernalia in New Jersey. The conviction stemmed from the September 1998 discovery in a hotel room of a butane torch and other materials commonly used to smoke crack. In 1996 and 1997, he was arrested in South Carolina and Florida on drug charges. In those cases, he either admitted his guilt or agreed to enter a pretrial intervention program. In 2000, he drew five years of federal probation for filing false tax returns and for tax evasion. Taylor said he cleaned his act up and was sober in 1998. He later starred in the feature film "Any Given Sunday" in 1999 as "Luther 'Shark' Lavay," and has worked as a color commentator over the years as well. Last November, Taylor was charged with leaving the scene of an accident near Miami. Police listed Taylor as a resident of Pembroke Pines, Fla.

  23. Crash: Loved playing SnD on this map in COD4, it didn't come up in the rotation last night, but I did get to snipe for awhile on top of the 3 story building and just drop my care package with no worries from it being stolen. ;D Played Domination and it was just as fun as when I played it on COD4. Got alot of kills while sniping from the building at A and covering B. Was enjoying it until it came back up for a Sabotage game and the other team would hide in their spawn with the bomb and have everyone cover him just to up their kills. That Sucked!! Overgrown: Played Demolition on this map and CTF. Got on the roof of the house with the attic just like in COD4 and covered B in Demo and got on the covered bridge to cover A in CTF. Also found out if you have a guillie on and lay down near the hay bales no one can see you unless they walk on top of you. Got a couple knife kills out there. Bailout: Also my favorite of the new maps. Played TDM and Demolition on this one lots of places to get some kills. Plenty of windows, balconies, & holes in walls to shoot from. Salvage: Played Demolition & Domination on this one and like TC said we dominated all three flags easily. Didn't like it as much as I thought I would though. Maybe if they made it a little bigger it may have worked better. Possibly changing the spawns would be a good idea. ??? Storm: Also had alot of fun on this one, pretty big map. Played CTF and Headquarters Pro on this one. You can really hold down the flags or HQ's pretty well as long as you have everyone working together. We did have a dumbass running around with an RPG the entire game of HQP though. > All in all, I'm glad I got these now instead of later.
  24. Double XP started this morning and will continue until Sunday Night. As was said before, once the PS Store is updated tonight is when you will be able to buy the map pack. The Brits & Aussies get it tomorrow.
