I've got the Eye. I don't know what game you're talking about, I don't remember getting a game with mine. The "games" in the PSN store are pretty much crap. I'd like to see more games utilize it like Rainbow Six Vegas where you could have your face on your character. Otherwise, it's kind of cool to use it to see who you're playing in card games and such.

I went and picked mine up a little while ago. I called the store this morning and the guy looked and said he had about 10. For whoever asked for a pic:

Tool, you have no idea what you're talking about. Nobody had a 100 popups on their screen. Nobody had out of control popups that crashed their computer. Nobody's system died. One guy with a crappy computer wants to lay blame on me because it supposedly crashed, and he himself admitted it's not a very good machine. Someone else got in trouble at work. I don't care. I'm not going to defend myself. To those who fell for it and took it in stride, good on you. Those who got a chuckle reading about it, or who fell for it once before, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Everyone else, lighten up.

Some of you guys need to lighten up. If you're surfing the web at work and that song pops up, turn down the volume!!! It's usually a simple little dial on the speakers, or that little icon in the bottom right hand corner of your screen. If you get in trouble for it, then your boss is some uptight ass and you probably shouldn't be surfing the web anyway. Otherwise, he's laughing his ass off because he knows you just got rick rolled. If you THINK it locked up your computer, it's a simple matter of clicking all those little pop ups and then it will go away. Or, you can open task manager. If you've got a piece of crap computer that can't handle the page, then you should probably be backing up your work every few minutes anyway as well as thinking about getting a new computer. Regardless, it's a harmless prank that does not hurt anyone or anything at all. You guys need to stop whining and learn to take a joke.

I am against people cursing other people out on the forums but I got to say this one deserved it. No offense Squid but I found that link very offensive. It made me lose a lot of stuff I had up on my browser too and I had to restart my computer. I don't think that link is very funny to a mature gaming community who looks to get a laugh but not their computer shut down. Thats just my opinion. There was nothing "offensive" about it. If you would've just clicked the pop-ups it would've closed itself out.

I'm goin more photoshop than real. Why wouldn't they just drop a bucket to get the guys ? Just seems like way too much more risk involved to try that. Okay Rage, I'll give you my expert analysis. Pretty much the only people who carry the "buckets" you're thinking of are the Coast Guard and maybe some mountain rescue pilots. The military (speaking mainly for the Navy and Marine Corps) doesn't really carry anything like that. We have what's called a SPIE rig which is a long rope with several D rings on it and spec ops guys can hook up to it and we can carry them. It looks like this: The problem with the SPIE rig is: 1.) everyone attached to it has to have a harness 2.) it's slow 3.) your airspeed is limited 4.) all those guys are exposed to fire 5.) if that helo has an engine failure, guess who's getting dropped! The people being rescued, from what I recall of that pic, are civilians, so we're not going to use a SPIE rig to extract them. Not to mention that a SPIE rig is another piece of equipment that we don't normally fly with. Other ways we have of extracting people are the rescue hoist (very slow) and the jacob's ladder (very difficult). Another problem is that those guys are in the mountains. Mountain flying presents some very unique challenges because there are unusual winds that you have to deal with and you're at high altitudes. The higher you are, the less power available your engines have. It takes more power to hover than to fly in most cases, so you don't want to be trying to hold a hover for too long in a mountainous environment. That manuever uses less power, but requires greater effort to hold the aircraft steady and considering the other options, is safer for all involved.

Not fake. We also train to be able to do "one wheel" landings where we hover with one of our landing gear on a rock or cliff or something in order to do insertions or extractions when there's no suitable landing area.

Sooo, I'm in my 3 month window before heading over to Bahrain for 6 months and I want to start getting my movie collection ready to take with me. I spent a weekend ripping several movies and putting them on my ipod, and I want to use the 360 and the PS3 as well. I did a search, and I can't seem to find a way to put movies on the 360. Is this so? If it is, what's the purpose of a 120 gb hard drive?

I'm leaving shortly to see it. One of the guys that works for me went to the midnight show and said it was "fucking awesome" along with something to the effect of "jack nicholson wasn't shit compared to ledger". I guess we'll see. On a side note, what exactly makes this the "Official Thread"? I always see that on message boards and I wonder if someone actually obtained permission or endorsement. If someone else makes a similar thread, will there be a lawsuit? Will they be heckled for making an unofficial thread? or a phony thread?
