I really don't care about the health care issueor social security. Every year they say they are going to do something about it, Every year they don't..... That's exactly why it needs to be addressed. Every couple of months you get that nice paper from the Social Security Administration that breaks down your benefits. "If you retire at age 65, then your benefits will be xxx." If they don't do something about social security, you won't be getting anything regardless of what that paper tells you because there won't be any money. As far as health care, I've seen how much money my family has had to fork over for different health issues that weren't covered adequately. Personally, I could care less because I'm military so my wife, kids, and I all get free health care. But for many people, it is a major issue.

The big problem for me right now is that there's too much finger pointing and mudslinging going on, and while I realize that is typical in politics, there is more this year than normal. There's so much in fact, that the issues are being ignored or brushed aside. To be honest, I don't think Iraq is a major issue. The reason is that neither one of them is going to pull out until a stable government and military is in place. Obama can say what he wants, but the truth is that we've invested too much with regard to time, money, and lives to just leave before the job is done. These guys need to do more to address security, housing, social security, and healthcare. I think those are the big four and these guys need to address them more. It's going to be one hell of an election though. These guys are even in the polls right now with a couple of rumors circulating that Colin Powell is being thought of for McCain's VP. As far as Ralph Nader goes, he's already blamed for Gore losing to Bush in 2000. He'll just end up being the scapegoat again if he runs and McCain wins.

I think he just means "the south".

I've seen some of the squadrons here do them as some kind of fundraiser. Everyone that participates pays a "fee" and they get a drink or 2 free, or some kind of discount at some of the bars. I haven't had a chance to participate, but it does sound like a blast.

Hush already has a team in the league. If one of the other guys that posted their email address wants it, I'll give it to them.

So the fact that I can put together a cohesive statement to prove a point without feeling the need to sling vulgarities makes me an uncivil bully. Interesting. I'm going to save you the trouble of trying to come up with any more lame retorts by letting the issue die. Pretty much anything else you choose to post is you arguing with yourself.

I didn't read all of this thread, but I wanted to post this link (it's not a Rick Roll, I promise). I find it a very motivating website no matter how much weight you want to lose. Basically it's a guy who was in his 30's, and he was over 6', 230 lbs, and something like 32% bodyfat. He started working out and he took pictures everyday front and side, and kept a log of what food he ate and how much he worked out. In 6 months he dropped to like 8% bodyfat. What's cool is that you can click the pictures link and it will show you all the front and side pics side by side, sorted either daily, weekly, or monthly. You can literally see the fat dropping off this guy. Much better than the before and after shots that you normally see where you're thinking they took pictures of 2 different people. http://www.johnstonefitness.com Here's the daily front page so you can see what I'm talking about: http://www.johnstonefitness.com/all/front/d.php

First of all, this thread had nothing to do with you, so I don't understand why you said anything to begin with. Second, I didn't get mad. You see people all the time use the phrases "just kidding", "with all due respect", and "no offense intended" and then they say something expecting their little addendum to be like a get out of jail free card. For example, if you say "so and so's mom is a dirty whore, just kidding lol" you're still calling her a dirty whore. Either say it or don't. In this case, I think both of you should have chosen the latter. Nobody hurt my feelings or pissed me off. I just think it's funny the way jackasses try to use those expressions because they think whatever they say with them, gets them off the hook for any consequences that may follow. What's even funnier is how when you can't come up with any civilized thing to say in response, you come back with comments like "Always spouting off like a fucking woman. You should be used to taking shots in the mouth". You did prove my point about how asking you the same question would have been pointless. Thanks. I love being right.
-
Pretty much the response I expected. I could pose the same question again, but, I'm sure it would be pointless.
-
And, just to lighten the mood some, I'll ask, who the hell is will?
-
No, I don't give a damn who throws the comments out. All I'm wanting to know is why, if he's going to make the comment, is he going to throw in the "just kidding" part. If you're going to say it, grow some balls and say it. Don't add the little addendum, like, "Hey, I want to say this, but I don't have the balls to come out and say it, so I'm going to try and say it in a joking manner". Otherwise, it's better to keep your mouth shut. That's just my opinion, and I wanted his view, that's why I asked, "then why say anything?". Is that okay with you?
-
Then why say anything?
-
I wish you guys would have replied sooner. I didn't think anyone else wanted in, so I cut it down to 10 teams and we already had the draft.

According to the PM's that CD is sending me, it's become a challenge to see who can get him to post in the public section. He said that if I make him post in the public section, he will create a new screen name on the PSN called SQUIDS-BITCH and just run around on the other team killing himself and speaking jibberish. He has also extended that offer to anyone that can make him post. I hope someone else wins because it sounds like a lame deal to me.

This is CD's status message on AIM. I think he has some serious issues. "I CAN'T WAIT FOR SOCOM, and sony i freaking hate you, how is it i don't get a HOME beta invitation, i am online all the time and i don't get one, FCUK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Where's this kneepad bandwagon? Is it sporting rims and hydraulics? I guess I'm not seeing it anywhere....wondering if I'm looking in the wrong section of the forum. Are you kidding?
-
I guess they'll be getting some heavy fines this year.

Is it the keeper league? I might give it a shot. I love the ESPN league. I was in an NFL.com league the first time I played, but it wasn't free the next year. I don't like Yahoo's league because you have to wait till Monday morning for the stats and points to be updated. That's what I like about ESPN is that the stats and points are updated right away.
-
I can make the draft for whatever time is convenient for everyone, or put it off another week or 2.
-
Hey guys, iLL has 4 spots open in our fantasy football league. The league is through ESPN and the draft is this Saturday. Anyone interested, please reply with your email address.

Samuel L Jackson has got to be nervous as hell. I was reading today that him, Bernie Mac, and Isaac Hayes all just finished filming a movie together.
