OK, so I got my netflix disc, and me and the wife are constantly looking for movies we can enjoy together. I stumbled across Spartacus: Blood and Sand season 1 in the TV section, and added it to the ol' que to watch.

 

HOLY SHIT. It's like 300 on steroids. I watched the first episode, and saw all the sex....and decided to talk the wife into watching episode 2 with me.

 

Dude, it's soft core porn. My wife loves it, and I get laid after every episode. I swear for god, this show is perfect for married couples: All the violence and sex you can stand, the perfect way to warm her up and a good storyline.

 

If you haven't seen it, be warned: IT'S SERIOUSLY NOT ONE TO WATCH WITH THE KIDS!

Lucky, being in school still, you wouldn't properly grasp the sexual relationship of a 30 something married couple with 4 kids.

 

Seeing as how I got 4 kids, you could surmise that we USED to hump like rabbits...but life is funny that way. Now, you got to make time for all the kids needs, relaxation time, etc....and sex gets put in the background (ALWAYS BY THE WOMAN) until you find something that inspires her inner ho.

 

This show inspires my wifes inner ho. ;D

I liked the show at first but I am starting to become disheartened. Maybe I am the only one here who looks for a quality plot beyond all the gratuitous sex & violence. I've seen every episode so far and the show is moving way too fast. I won't go into specifics for those who haven't watched this show yet, but this show is going to burn out quick. I think Starz is trying to play catch up to HBO and Showtime in a matter of weeks.

Im on the first season....is there more? I have watched the first 9 and LOVE it. I got the finale saved for tonight....but I assume there is more seasons?

So far 10 episodes have aired, the plan looks like there will be more seasons. There are 13 episodes in season 1.

Episode 10 is not the finale Tool but I bet you will come close to tears at the end of the episode.

 

SWEET.

 

Sure, they have gone fast and hard at it, but IDK if there is much life for a show based on a gladiator....then again if they pull it off as effectively as they have so far, I am going to be a loyal viewer.
