Anyone watch that show last night on Crude Oil?

 

Was that crazy. Every single thing we use is a result of Oil.

And the largest Oil supply in the middle east was a result of something that happened millions of years ago. If you didn't see it, it was on cable last night they'll probably reshow it this week.

yeah the Life without people one is very good, I'd like to see the one about Crude Oil. I know it's byproducts are used in everything from gasoline to plastics. What channel was it on?

wait I retract this statement. I thought I remembered something I didn't. I know the use of petroleum-wax is used in the production of candy, I just can't remember what it's called. Styrene is the shit used in carpeting and plastics :-\

D75, you are really close man. actually it is used ase a hardener. ever notice the fancy "swirls" on the top of a candy bar and wonder why they dont get smashed in transit. its cuz wax is use to make chocolate harder to retain shape.
