Deutscher75 Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 CDBS14 ]i mean fever could just be something non related to the seizure. both symptoms occurring at the same time and one being completely random of the other is unlikely. Guest CROWFOOT_ Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 Lockdown ] Lockdown ]CDBS14 ]epileptic attack? Unlikely' date=' epileptic attack wouldn't cause or be caused by a fever, and she wouldn't have been released this quick, she would have been kept overnight if not longer for observation. [/quote'] \ The fever could have been normal, its bout that time of year anyways... The seizure could have been a diabetic shock. Or maybe a hard hit from a fall to slip ,can bring in something that resembles a seizure, Unlikely to be diabetic shock as well, because her urine would be dangerously dark brown days before this occurred and would have aroused suspicion. Also if it was a diabetic attack they'd be keeping her, because a baby couldn't recover from a diabetic attack by herself, especially not quickly enough to be released within 3 hours. true, but then again it is fever season, so the fever could be unrelated...... just there. But I garee, it probably was diabetic, so I will wait and see,I am jst glad everyone is ok, and they released her to go home. Quote
[*N*]Sal0713 Posted December 2, 2008 Author Report Posted December 2, 2008 Well it seems like my niece was having a bad fever and my sis gave her meds for it but they didn't work i guess, she had a convulsion from the fever, which her temp was at 104 when the DR checked her out, she was responding well and she is out of the hospital so yeah. Also, there is no way she is diabetic, they would've known a way before this since she was premature and was in lime hundreds of appointments. Hopefully my sis gets here before i go to bed so i can see my niece. Quote
Guest CROWFOOT_ Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 good to hear man. glad she is doing better now... Quote

hannibal Posted December 3, 2008 Report Posted December 3, 2008 First glad to hear everything is ok with your niece. Now second. Do any of you guys that were "speculating" have a medical degree of some sort? I don't was to minimize anything with your niece sal but it was a little funny to hear the other guys speculate. Again glad things are ok with your niece. Now to the others please think before you post there are actually people on this site that DO have a medical degree/license. Quote

Deutscher75 Posted December 3, 2008 Report Posted December 3, 2008 I have a physical training degree that specializes in athletic and muscular development with a history minor and am currently finishing my Masters in History. The medical training I do have is otherwise related to what I speculated. Quote
