It's been a fun week; in case you missed it, we dropped by IGN's Podcast Beyond #200, where we shared the joy of UNCHARTED 3 multiplayer, and I extolled the virtues of Galaga Legions DX, which I've been enjoying since Tuesday. My lil brother is in town from the East Coast, so it's been fun catching up on Castle Crashers PSN, which I had never gotten

It's been a fairly quiet week, all things considered, despite the rush of EVO 2011 coverage, a lucrative new PSN PLAY annual promotion, and word that Sucker Punch Productions is officially joining the SCE World Wide Studios family. I've also been hearing considerable interest in Play

Story by Luke Plunkett @ Kotaku.com. The upcoming Modern Warfare 3 is being developed by Infinity Ward. Or, at least, what’s left of it. The Wii version, however, is being developed by somebody else, somebody just as familiar with the series, if not quite as popular with its fans. That developer is Treyarch, the team behind Call of Duty 3, World at War and Black Ops. If you’re wondering why some of their team is “stuck” on the Wii port, well, they’ve got a ton of experience on the platform, having handled the Nintendo home console versions of World at War, Modern Warfare and Black Ops,

I spent the weekend at the EVO Championship Series, a mecca for fighting-game competitors and home to the biggest Street Fighter IV, Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Tekken 6, Mortal Kombat tournaments in the world . This year, I’m told, EVO attendance spiked sharply to nearly 8,000 attendees -- enough to strain the confines of the biggest ballroom in one of Las Vegas’s larger resort hotels. With EVO’s popularity soaring in recent years, it’s become common to see legendary figures in fighting game design prowling the demo stations, studying player re

All week long, I've had this strange tension in my shoulders. I was hunched up, and was even having trouble sleeping. Story by Devils Own @ GamersMint.com. Despite the game’s lackluster reception, Gearbox Software has decided to continue supporting Duke Nukem Forever and has drawn the curtains on the first piece of DLC. The Hail to the Icons Parody Pack brings to the table, four new multiplayer maps and a trio of interesting takes on some of the popular modes of today’s shooters. Fitness legend Jack LaLanne died of respiratory failure due to pneumonia Sunday afternoon at his home in California. He was 96. LaLane hosted a popular workout show for several decades, opened a chain of gyms, and created a popular line of juicers. It is missing some of the better sluggers of this year for various reasons (mostly injuries). I would have liked to see Vlad, Hamilton, Bautista/Konerko, Votto, and Pujols be in there opposed to some of the selections. Looking at this class, it looks clear that Miggy Cabrera is the favorite and that's who I am picking. I think it will be he and Holliday in the final.
