Ok we have cleared out the cache... has anyone gotten the virus ads yet this morning... We are currently testing our inventory...

Ok guys, they now have all the information that they need... I have disabled all third party advertisers and even our internal ads like KontrolFreek while they trace this... So starting at 6 am CST... if you continue to get the virus ads, survey pop ups, etc... post up and let me know... we are going to do this for the next 12 to 24 hours... If everything is working right we should just have blank spots at the top and bottom.

Guys... I need you to email screen shots of the pop ups to me... they should be gone, the teeth should be gone today now that we have found their source. As for the virus... we are not sure where they are coming from... these are not happening on any site but the forums... not the blog, main site or any of the sites that have joined the clan ad network that we are a part of... its only the forums.

Thanks for the heads up Tool, we did not give any clans a heads up that we were going to throw out a new TacMap... It was a suprise for everyone... we look forward to seeing you guys in October.

Yah we do not know what is going with the ads on the bottom... the top banner is showing the correct ads... As I have said in many threads, the two banner ad locations are here to stay... they facilitate improvements to the server and such... and the overall cost of Urgent Fury... But we are not going to just let any advertiser in here... right now we are trying to work the bugs out and the durn virus ads are unacceptable

If you see an ad like this, it is not a real virus... it is a malicious advertisement to get you to buy antivirus software that really does not work...

Yah its killing me... we can't really find the source... in one of my many calls I got yesterday, someone (I can't remember who) said this had happened to them too... A bot had found the ad tag in the source code and placed a cookie on a visitors computer that would tell it to push the site on a compuer based on a cookie...
