Bravo sir, well said. But you do have to use the media, just don't use one source. Cross check with other sources that are subject to libel laws. The biggest problem isn't what they actually report, the biggest problem is what the DON'T report. That's where the internet comes in handy.

I posted this last night in the political thread we have going on our clan site. My take on the debate: Obama is going to ask American's to make sacrifices. But in only 3 years Obama has been responsible for $975 million dollars worth of earmarks. Including one to the hospital his wife worked for. Obama calls for doubling the size of the Peace Corps even though he has never volunteered himself. Obama's half brother lives in a shack in Kenya on a couple dollars a week and doesn't get a cent from Obama. I've said this before, "do as I say, not as I do" is the worst possible form of leadership. Yea, I'm going to sacrifice because Obama ask's me to? While on earmarks, Obama said earmarks "only make up $18 BILLION dollars of the national budget". Was that suppossed to make me feel better? Someone want to do the math and tell me what $18 billion dollars would do for, according to the last census, 300 million American's? Obama rightfully pointed out that McCain has a former Fannie Mae lobbyist on his campaign team. I wish it weren't so, but being a lobbyist isn't illegal, yet. But what Obama failed to mention and McCain for some reason didn't bring up, Obama's campaign has two former Fannie Mae CEO's on his campaign team. Including Franklin Raines who paid back $25 million dollars to avoid prosecution due to the way he ran Fannie Mae and is now one of the FINANCIAL ADVISORS for Obama. Obama repeated his claim that those making more money should share more of it with those who don't. The truth is, they already do. The more money you make, the more taxes you pay. So Obama's idea of fair sharing is to change the tax bracket to take even more money from those who create jobs for others and give it mostly to people who don't have a job at all? I owe my job to one of the "unpatriotic" American's, as Joe Biden put's it, who will be affected by Obama's tax proposals. But he's not unpatriotic, he's a retired Marine and a war veteran. He risked a lot of his own money to earn more money, and he's been successful. And according to Obama he should now be forced to share more than a fair share. Up to 50% if Obama get's his way. Why work for half pay? Why expand just to give it to the government? It's a loser tax concept that only provides incentives for an individual to rely on the government for their well being.

Actually, Obama is responsible for $975 million dollars in earmarks in just THREE YEARS. Obama hasn't submitted any earmarks since the start of 2008 so it can't be used against him during the Presidential campaign. I guess he was hoping no one would notice almost a BILLION DOLLARS in earmarks from his first three years as a Senator. Plus, a $100 million dollar earmark went to the hospitial Obama's wife worked at. At the same time Michelle Obama's salary went from $150 thousand a year to over $350 thousand a year.

Dude, stop. Want me to go find posts I have made criticizing McCain? There are more than a few. Right after that, I am going to ask you to go find posts you made criticitizing Obama. THEY DON'T EXIST. Go find them right now. Post the quotes and prove me wrong before I ask the question. This is a SOFTBALL I am throwing you and daring you to hit it. One more post about how "we" both know our candidates aren't perfect. I'm going to ask you to prove you ever said such a thing. I can name several things I disagree with McCain on. I can write a book on what I disagree with Obama on. This one isn't going to go away. I'll copy, paste, and repost as many times as needed.

Ok, not to start any kind of "argument" but how can the above be used to support McCain's associations with a convicted felon, yet Obama is not given the same courtesy? Could one not argue the EXACT same thing for Obama and be correct in those assessments? I don't get it. Allow me to explain. In the "Keating 5" scenario, Keating was prosecuted and went to jail. In the Fannie Mae diving straight into the ground, NO ONE HAS GONE TO JAIL and TWO FORMER CEO'S are Obama CAMPAIGN ADVISORS. Those are facts. The Keating 5 was bad, but it didn't cost US taxpayers $850 BILLION Dollars. The Keating 5 didn't wreck our economy. Fanny and Freddie did that. And it's not over. The rescue bill is shaping up not to be nearly enough. I've been handicapping myself by sticking to reputable news sources. Some of these reputable news sourcse don't report on the bad things one political party does. It's late now, tomorrow I am going to pull out all the stops and post C-SPAN videos that show who said what and when. It will show who wanted regulation and who fought regulation. Who saw the problem coming and those who refused to see the problem coming.

McCain may very well have people who profited from Fannie or Freddie as part of his campaign. It was part of the stock exchange, a lot of people made money. So I'll just ask one question: How many former CEO's of Freddie or Fannie are part of the McCain campaign? I'll tell you how many are part of the Obama campaign. Two former CEO's of one of the two companies than ran our economy straight into the ditch are now Obama campaign surrogates. One is the CURRENT FINANCIAL ADVISOR and one was in charge of picking the VICE PRESIDENT candidate until he was exposed and forced to step down. On your CNN link, could you be more specific? That's the main page and it's updated about every 15 minutes. I'm not sure of your point or what your point of reference is. On original thougts, or idea's as I call them. Yea, knock yourself out. Find one post where I copied any person's original idea. Just one. It shouldn't be hard. Post it here for all to see. Just one post where another person did something and I copied it and made it my own as well. Just one. It's a losing arguement. You should change the subject. Try patriotism... no wait, that won't work. Try accomplishments... no wait that won't work either. Try bipartisianship politics.... wait, darn it all that won't work either. You ain't alone brother. Booted out of the game 6 times in 30 minutes, I logged off. I renew my wish that Zipper is working on a game too. Three patches so far, one helped and two have made the game friendly functions of the game worse. My game is pre ordered. I'll go pay the sales tax and pick it up. And then HOPE I can actually play it. Who's devoloping this game? The U.S. Government?

Using the Obama website as a reputable source ? That is funny. I'll discuss the "Keating 5". It's worth discussing. What happened? McCain made the mistake of attending a meeting with Keating. McCain didn't do anything, didn't legislate anything, didn't vote for anything that favored Keating. The Democratically controlled Ethics committee admonished McCain and John Glenn for poor judgement in their associations. Remember I said that, associations, it's going to be important in a minute. However, the Ethics Committee found that McCain and Glenn had not done anything illegal. Remember I said that too, illegal, it too will be important in a moment. What did the "Keating" experience do to McCain? Made him be sure of who he associated with and started him on his long trek of reform that is now his public record. What ever happened to Keating? He was prosecuted for his crimes, remember I said that too, prosecuted. McCain even testified against Keating at his trial. Since we are talking about associations. Obama has an associate, his name is FRANKLIN RAINES. Who is he? He used to run Fannie Mae. Raines now is a Obama campaign advisor. How well did Raines run Fannie Mae? Well he cooked the books, pocketed over 100 million dollars, and had to give back 25 million dollars to avoid being prosecuted for his illegal activities and avoided a jail sentence. Did McCain screw up? Yes he did, and he was disciplined by his peers and the illegal conduct of the affair was put prosecuted and put in jail. Did I mention, that in just 3 years, Obama is the 2nd largest recieptiant of campaign donations from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac? Only Chris Dodd who has been in the Senate for multiple terms has received more campaign donations from Fannie and Freddie. The Keating 5 was bad, but it didn't drive the entire economy into the ditch. That's what the company Obama's current ECOMONIC ADVISOR did.

Obama always polls higher than the percentage of the votes he gets, especially exit polling. But WarPig is correct. The Republicans have the White House, and had the Congress majority for 6 of the last 8 years, and the Republican Congress blew it big time with wasteful spending. The only thing that might help is the truth about Fannie and Freddie being signed into law by a Democratic President, and was blocked on at least 3 occassions by Congressional Democrats from being better regulated as suggested by Republican's. McCain has a anchor around his neck and it's called "economy". McCain has to continue to educate the electorate about his long record of being fiscally responible and Obama's very short record of $975 million dollars in earmarks Obama is responsible for in less than 3 years as a Senator, and almost two of those years he was running for President.

You really asking me do I trust Howard Dean? Nancy Pelosi? Harry Reid? Barrack Hussien Obama? I guess you missed the part where I pointed out that Mr. Berg who filed the lawsuit is a DEMOCRAT. But yes that's exactly what I'm saying. The fact you are attempting to beat down the discussion and working harder doing it than the Obama campaign is raises suspicions.

Obama claims he had no idea that Reverend Wright preached along those lines at all. - Accordng to Hawaii law, only the person the birth certificate belongs to can request the original birth certificate. Obama refuses to request it. Why even take that path? He's already has one lawsuit going on about this, from a Democratic lawyer no less. It's not like Sean Hannity is pushing this question. Why not just request the original birth certificate and put the issue to bed once and for all. Should be easy if the Hawaii birth certificate actually exists as Obama claims. Obama has no record of transparency, at all. If he can hide something from the American public, he has a record of hiding it.

Like Bill Clinton, the President that signed NAFTA into law, the same thing Obama say's is crap. Detroit's Mayor is a criminal and Obama backed him publicly. What point exactly am I missing? Micheal Moore made a movie about how sh*tty things are in Michigan. How much more proof you need? Moore is a ardent Democratic supporter. The only thing being missed, is how Michigan citizens think Democrats who hate global warming think that people who make cars that cause global warming are some how their friends. Someone please explain that to me. "I make cars, cars cause global warming, Democrates hate global warming and think it's my fault, so I will VOTE for them". Sorry, I just don't understand the logic.
