  1. I've blamed the media Rev? I'm pretty sure I said, "know your source", "verify for yourself", "trust your own good judgement", "be informed", and "vote". I've criticized media sources for being misleading or hiding the truth. Her's some truth. As of today, Joe the Plumber has been more thoroughly vetted by the media than Obama has. And here's some more truth, want to get vetted by the national news organizations? Just ask Obama a tough question like Joe the Plumber did.
  2. I'm a McCain supporter, I don't hide it. You want me to make counter McCain posts too? Gotcha Politics? I've admitted Palin shouldn't have fired "what's his name". I've admitted Palin isn't perfect. I've admitted McCain isn't perfect. And will go a step further and say Romney was my first choice. I have answered the question about how "armed forces support Obama" and have proven that it was completely untrue according to Armed Services News Papers who focus on Armed Service's audiance's. Military members support McCain 2 to 1 against Obama. Where are you getting your news from, the "Tehran Gazette"? Maybe the "Moscow Daily"? Facts dude. Tell the whole truth. Not just the truth you want others to hear. Palin is not perfect. She fired some guy. Yes she did it. OK, no arguement from me. Now, can we please possibly discuss the other 19 other points I have asked about on Obama? No, we can't. THAT'S A DISTRACTION. It doesn't mean anything. Don't listen to "that" fool. "Character and record mean nothing, my words mean something, unless you cost me votes, and then I'll toss our ass under the bus with my grandmother". Give me a break with "gotcha politics". Got some dirt on McCain, then toss it out here for all to see. Obama is the one out there making fun of a plumber.
  3. Word.... all future game faults will be followed with "at least it's not as bad as Slant 6, remember how screwed up that was"? Online only game, and you can't play it online during peak hours. Who's making this game? The Marx Brother's?
  4. OK Rev. For the sake of arguement, Palin fired someone she shouldn't have. Let's call that a fact for the moment. You are correct, the state patrolman who tasered his own stepson is still in fact a state patrolman in Alaska. Palin and husband wanted him fired, but he has not been fired and to my knowledge is still out there enforcing laws, such as "child abuse" cases and such seem's since he is such an expert in such cases. Where are your questions about Obama? Franklin Raines? Jeramiah Wright? Father Flegler? Tony Rezko? Mr. Johnson? (Former Fannie Mae CEO who's first name I don't recall, Obama campaign advisor) William Ayers? ACORN? Infantcide? Hand gun regulation? Open borders? Making illegal immigrants citizens? $975 million dollars in earmarks in 2 years as a Senator? Earmark to his wife's hospital and she recieved a 150% pay increase? Louis Farikhan? (spelling ?) Family members in Africa living in poverty? Obama spends more in coffee a month than it takes to make them live like kings, but they don't get a dime. Obama pissing all over working American's to score political points? Obama "flipping" off Hillary Clinton during a stump speech? Obama changing stances as the breeze blows? OK, let's say Palin fired someone she shouldn't have. Could I possibly get an answer to any of the claims / questions I have raised about Obama?
  5. heh... 9 pages already? That speaks loudly. Me, I'm on my third night, I've completed two complete games without interuption. Granted, I play during peak hours, I've got a 8-5 job during the week. If Slant 6 was a doctor, they would be sued for malpractice. Other than that, I am OK with the game as is. I just wish I could play it for 2 hours without having to spend 1 1/2 hours trying to stay connected. They are going to turn off a lot of people in a hurry this way. I hope they get their head out of their ass soon.
  6. Yea, it really brings it home doesn't it? Taking into consideration what I said a few posts ago: "If Obama doesn't give a darn about his own half brother or Grandmother, do you really believe he gives a darn about YOU?" Makes me look like a prophet of some sort maybe? Nope, just informed. Poor character traits can't be hidden forever. We just got ANOTHER good look at how Obama feels about the working class in this country. IF YOU make an HONEST LIVING and think for yourself, you are an enemy of a Obama Administration. If you want to rely on the government for your well being, then Obama is YOUR guy. Be informed, verify for yourself, and vote.
  7. Watch the video: http://perfunction.typepad.com/perfunction/2008/10/video-obama-mocks-joe-the-plumber-crowd-laughs.html And who are you fighting for Obama? So far we know you don't like people in Pennsylvania who "cling to their gun's and religion". Now you think a guy making a honest living as a plumber is someone to be scoffed at? What profession is he going to scoff next?
  8. And Governor Palin is suppossed to be stupid? ;D
  9. McCain does support Civil Unions. He just doesn't think clergy should be forced to marry homosexuals because that is against almost every single religous faith. Obama to his credit is against gay marriage for the same reasons I just listed for McCain. These two aren't the problem. The problem is the pro gay movement that demands acceptance of their beliefs from everyone. In short, the gay movement (in general, not every single gay) are free to think and feel as they choose, however they want to force others to think as they do. Gay marriage by the pro gay movement is to tear down religous foundations that oppose their lifestyle. Why can't the pro gay movement be satisfied with a "civil union" performed by a magestrate or judge or even a captain of a ship at sea, you know, go on a cruise and arrange to be married there and start the honeymoon (barf....) right away? I don't think there would have been much resistance to that except from the religious right. But no, they want to force clergy to marry them, and that's where the resistance is coming in from. They won't compromise even when it's beneficial for them to do so.
  10. They didn't talk about guns. I'm about to the point I feel I have encouraged people who read this enough that I don't have to rehash old points. McCain has a record. 4 years ago Kerry considered him as a VP nominee. And now the Democrats hate him. What changed? McCain? Or that McCain is now an opponent? Obama has a record, and everytime someone that is a part of that record comes up, they get thrown under the bus by Obama. Just try imagining who Obama will appoint to his cabinet and appoint as ambassadors around the world. If you look at who he has had in his inner circle in the past, if that doesn't bother you, then who he assigns to do the nations business won't bother you either. My parting shot. This country was built on compromise. Our government only works if we find more to agree on than disagree on. We as American's can and should call on our elected officials to make compromises to get things done. The Congress approval rating is 14%, and it's well deserved. Our elected officals are more interested in getting and holding onto power than working for the good of the American people. Can't we compromise on anything? I think so, I'll just throw out 3 examples for you to digest. - Abortion: I am not inclined ot tell a woman what to do with her body, but how about no abortions after 4 1/2 months? After that, live with your indecision or give it up for adoption? - Automatic weapons: RA-15, M60, and AK-47's are weapons of war. My neighbor doesn't need them. But can I keep my automatic pistol in case I'm not a expert marksman to protect my home? (I am a expert, I could get by with a sling shot), but the Glock with 17 rounds is a good "convincer" for anyone in my sights to give up peacefully. - Government spending: If you don't have the money, don't spend it, just like American's do. Or, if you get money from someone else, spend it responsibly, such as tax dollars that come out of American's pockets. That's just 3 things OUR Congress can't agree on. We deserve better, hell we pay for it, we should demand better. Be informed. Write your House Representative and Senator often and demand action. Vote.
  11. Well, we are back to 0 stars. What good is a game if you can't play it one day after it's release? This is going to be a long and bumpy ride.... >
  12. Obama and the financial meltdown from the Wall Street Journal: Finally, on the matter of deregulation and the financial crisis, Sen. Obama should consider his own complicity in the failure of Congress to adopt legislation that might have prevented the subprime meltdown. In the summer of 2005, a bill emerged from the Senate Banking Committee that considerably tightened regulations on Fannie and Freddie, including controls over their capital and their ability to hold portfolios of mortgages or mortgage-backed securities. All the Republicans voted for the bill in committee; all the Democrats voted against it. To get the bill to a vote in the Senate, a few Democratic votes were necessary to limit debate. This was a time for the leadership Sen. Obama says he can offer, but neither he nor any other Democrat stepped forward. Instead, by his own account, Mr. Obama wrote a letter to the Treasury Secretary, allegedly putting himself on record that subprime loans were dangerous and had to be dealt with. This is revealing; if true, it indicates Sen. Obama knew there was a problem with subprime lending -- but was unwilling to confront his own party by pressing for legislation to control it. As a demonstration of character and leadership capacity, it bears a strong resemblance to something else in Sen. Obama's past: voting present. Simply stated, words and not actions are Obama's forte. Verify for yourself, be informed, and vote.
  13. Not "next". Obama say's it's so, and it's so? Maybe on planet Obamatron, but the rest of live here on Earth. This is just yet one more example of Obama changing his message, yesterday he was proud of his ACORN ties and today he throws them under the bus. So far, he's thrown a campaign advisor, his preacher, his campaign bundler, his friend of 11 years, and his OWN GRANDMOTHER under the bus. He doesn't give a dime to his half brother living in a 9 foot by 9 foot shack and living on a couple of dollars a week. Just to name a few off the top of my head. If Obama doesn't give a darn about his own half brother or Grandmother, do you really believe he gives a darn about YOU? Remember the plumber Obama talked to? The plumber and possible future tax victim of Obama did a interview: The man may not buy the business and create the jobs he WAS planning on until he talked to Obama. Now he's going to wait and see. How many people did Obama just put out of work? Make up your own mind. But "next" will come when I choose to talk about "next". I have plenty more to discuss on this subject, but tonite I was busy playing Confrontation.
  14. Hoping the link works.... ACORN again. http://www.cnn.com/video/savp/evp/?loc=dom&vid=/video/bestoftv/2008/10/14/ldt.tucker.acorn.cnn Take notice that CNN reported that Obama has "changed" the description of his relationship with ACORN on his website. If there's nothing to hide or lie about, why the obvious move to decieve his supporters and undecideds? Obama's government is going to be transparent.... or is it?
  15. Oh, NOW he believes me..... Just kidding, I am not talking politics here. ;D
  16. So far so good. I'm in a room with over 20 people, and it's pretty smooth. Hit detection is very good. Of course graphics are off the chain. Looks like the public beta was actually to work out some bugs, none of the issues during the beta are present now. 4 1/2 stars. Would be 5 stars if it was "perfectly smooth".
  17. Actually, Obama and Cheney are distant cousins. From the Wall Street Journal, Obama and ACORN: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122394051071230749.html?mod=rss_opinion_main But the organization's real genius is getting American taxpayers to foot the bill. According to a 2006 report from the Employment Policies Institute (EPI), Acorn has been on the federal take since 1977. For instance, Acorn's American Institute for Social Justice claimed $240,000 in tax money between fiscal years 2002 and 2003. Its American Environmental Justice Project received 100% of its revenue from government grants in the same years. EPI estimates the Acorn Housing Corporation alone received some $16 million in federal dollars from 1997-2007. Only recently, Democrats tried and failed to stuff an "affordable housing" provision into the $700 billion bank rescue package that would have let politicians give even more to Acorn. All this money gives Acorn the ability to pursue its other great hobby: electing liberals. Acorn is spending $16 million this year to register new Democrats and is already boasting it has put 1.3 million new voters on the rolls. The big question is how many of these registrations are real. Which brings us to Mr. Obama, who got his start as a Chicago "community organizer" at Acorn's side. In 1992 he led voter registration efforts as the director of Project Vote, which included Acorn. This past November, he lauded Acorn's leaders for being "smack dab in the middle" of that effort. Mr. Obama also served as a lawyer for Acorn in 1995, in a case against Illinois to increase access to the polls. During his tenure on the board of Chicago's Woods Fund, that body funneled more than $200,000 to Acorn. More recently, the Obama campaign paid $832,000 to an Acorn affiliate. The campaign initially told the Federal Election Commission this money was for "staging, sound, lighting." It later admitted the cash was to get out the vote. The Obama campaign is now distancing itself from Acorn, claiming Mr. Obama never organized with it and has nothing to do with illegal voter registration. Yet it's disingenuous to channel cash into an operation with a history of fraud and then claim you're shocked to discover reports of fraud. As with Rev. Jeremiah Wright and William Ayers, Mr. Obama was happy to associate with Acorn when it suited his purposes. But now that he's on the brink of the Presidency, he wants to disavow his ties. The Justice Department needs to treat these fraud reports as something larger than a few local violators. The question is whether Acorn is systematically subverting U.S. election law -- on the taxpayer's dime. As always, I encourage all to read the entire article and verify this information for yourself.
  18. A small business owner, a plumber asks Obama a direct question, and to my suprise gets a direct answer. Check out this video: http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=abd_1223922155 What Obama is talking about is "wealth redistribution". That's taking money by force or threat of imprisonment from a person who legally earned it, and giving it to someone else. Because according to Obama, why shouldn't someone else benefit from your hard work too? This is socialist policies of the worst kind.
  19. LOL. That's great.
  20. This is nothing new for Governor Palin, telling it like it is. She took on those in her own party in Alaska that she felt was wrong, and it looks like those in Washington won't be free from such critisism's either, even if they are Republican's. http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2008/10/12/politics/fromtheroad/entry4516282.shtml The Republican vice presidential nominee also took a rare, direct jab at President Bush, whose approval rating continues to hover in the low 20s. “America just can’t afford another big spender in the White House,†Palin said. President Bush has done some good things, but one of things he has done very badly was spend us into debt. I was listening to the radio, and my Congressman Walter Jones was being interviewed about the $850 billion dollar bailout package, I don't have a reference for this since it was on the radio. But Walter Jones said: "I asked Mr Paulson where was we going to get the money for the bailout, were we going to print new money, and Mr Paulson said, No, we will just got to banks around the world and borrow it". Needless to say, my jaw hit the floor when I heard this and I hope all of you feel the same way. Enough votes in Congress on both sides that I can say "our government" is responsible for this. 18 billion dollars in earmarks this year, taxpayer money given to organizations that shouldn't get it, and only God knows how many funding projects this year that we could have done without. And now we are borrowing $850 billion dollars from foriegn banks? If there was ever a arguement for term limits at all levels of national government, this is it. But back on point. When was the last time your saw a politician that was critical of another politician in their own party? I find it refreshing. I think this shows Palin's allegiance is the the American public first and foremost. I think it shows strength of character that just isn't seen anymore by our politicians.
  21. WarPig, it has nothing to do with ego. I just accept that Gores claim was vetted through the legal system, which the Gore campaign initiated, and Gore got his recount. Just like I accept the Supreme Courts decision on Roe vs Wade. I disagree with it, but I don't dwell on it. That's my point. You are going to burn yourself up harboring so much hate and resentment for such long periods of time. Not a prayer I originated, but I use it frequently. "Lord give me the courage to change the things I can, the humility to accept the things I can't change, and the wisdom to know the difference".
  22. all good. cool. I like a good joke, even when I don't get them at first.
  23. In every rotation. Set your clock by it.
  24. I miss your point. I haven't said a single thing I am ashamed of or back down from except from one post where I was innacurate on what an Alaskan Comission declared, and I corrected my mistake for all to see. So, what's your point? You want to walk around naked? Go ahead, close the drapes please and don't bother the neighborhood children and you shouldn't have any problems.
  25. Do you? How many people know that Gore didn't want the Absentee Ballot's in Florida counted? You know, mainly military members deployed overseas? Want to talk about Democracy and how every vote counts? I'm all ears. I don't support the College Electorate. I think it sucks. It allows politicans to play to a certain population to win elections. I'm a popular vote and term limits on all elected officals kind of guy. So now the Supreme Court was wrong to side with Bush, but is right on Abortion? If the Supreme Court is wrong on Gore vs Bush, then why listen to anything they say? They weren't wrong on Bush vs Gore and Roe vs Wade. And that's the truth or as close as we can come to it. I am all for people running for office, doing the job, and returning to the private sector. I think we all would be better off. Having lawmakers in office who will have to live with the laws they put into action. It's the best Quality Control Check we could come up with.
