  1. Did someone say flip flop? Should I continue? The second link is a ad from a 527 Group. So no, I would rather not continue down that path. Unless you want me to go google 527 ad's that aren't flattering for Obama. I would prefer reputable news sources. People will take what you have to say more seriously even if they disagree if you stick to reputable sources. 527 ad's are for the ill informed. Which brings me to the next point. The third link is from Countdown with Kieth Olbermann. He is anything but a reputable news source. Olberman writes comments on the Daily Kos. He's an Obama mouthpiece, and that's being gracious. The first link is fine. It's video and comes from a reputable news source. I never said McCain was perfect.

I've got all kind of quotes from the Democratic Party that state Obama is unfit to lead, starting with quotes from Obama's Vice President pick Joe Biden. I wouldn't worry about McCain kicking the bucket, being his mother is over 90 years old and still pretty active. Obama is a chain smoker who's mother died in her 50's from cancer. Having a family history of cancer can't be good, can it? And since you are spelling things out..... Maybe you can explain why Barrack Obama has to look at the bracelet he's wearing to remember the name of the servicemember that died in service to this country.
  4. First and foremost. All the sudden Obama doesn't what to surrender to terrorists? Count the times Obama agreed with "John". I counted 5, but I was playing the beta while watching. I call this debate a draw. Obama made some compelling arguements, has no record of backing them up, and "John" didnt call him on it. "John" has a record, and didn't do a very good job of defending it. "John" got his hits in, but failed to get specific. Obama did what he always does, rely on non-specifics and got away with it. Obama got away with this round without getting hurt. So he won. He didnt' win because he had the better arguement, he won because more of his record wasn't exposed for all to see. A lost opportunity for McCain.

So you admit that William Ayers is a terrorists that attacked the United States, and in a interview when asked about how he felt about his terrorist acts said that he felt he had not done enough. Bombing several government buildings and killing at least one NYC Policeman was not enough to satisfy Ayers. But your point is what day the interview was conducted is somehow important? That if the interview was done on a day different than 11 September 2001, that somehow makes William Ayers past deeds and comments OK?
  10. Easy, no one said Obama was responsible for being associated with and launched his political career from the house of a guy that conducted terrorist acts at a later date. Repeat, No One Said That. Not here anyways. William Ayers committed terrorists attacks, was aqquitted on a legal technicality, and boasted in a interview on September 11, 2001 that he "didn't do enough" while a member of the U.S. terrorist group "Weatherman Underground" which bombed US government buildings and killed at least one NYC Police Officer during their terrorist activities. He did all but boast about his past crimes before ever meeting Obama. He boasted about his former terrorist activities 6 years after launching Obama's political career in his living room 6 years earlier. So while Obama could claim ignorance of what Ayers did as a young man, Obama can't claim ignorance of what a self admitted US terrorist said in a interview on 9-11 while living in Chicago. Or maybe Obama can claim that he is that ill informed. But that's Obama's choice isn't it? I don't live in Chicago, and I know what William Ayers said on 9-11, and I don't even know the man personally. Do your own research and make up your own mind. I would just point out that not post after mine on the Ayers subject used a reputable news source to counter what I have posted. Does that matter? You decide.

The Daley archives show that Mr. Obama and Mr. Ayers worked as a team to advance the CAC agenda. One unsettled question is how Mr. Obama, a former community organizer fresh out of law school, could vault to the top of a new foundation? In response to my questions, the Obama campaign issued a statement saying that Mr. Ayers had nothing to do with Obama's "recruitment" to the board. The statement says Deborah Leff and Patricia Albjerg Graham (presidents of other foundations) recruited him. Yet the archives show that, along with Ms. Leff and Ms. Graham, Mr. Ayers was one of a working group of five who assembled the initial board in 1994. Mr. Ayers founded CAC and was its guiding spirit. No one would have been appointed the CAC chairman without his approval. So obviously Ayers is more than just "a guy that lives in my nieghborhood" as Obama has described Ayers. How closely did they work togather? The Obama campaign has cried foul when Bill Ayers comes up, claiming "guilt by association." Yet the issue here isn't guilt by association; it's guilt by participation. As CAC chairman, Mr. Obama was lending moral and financial support to Mr. Ayers and his radical circle. That is a story even if Mr. Ayers had never planted a single bomb 40 years ago. I would suppose Obama could appoint William Ayers to some anti terrorist post in his cabinet, since Ayers has so much personal experience operating as a terrorist and subversive against the United States. Do your own research and draw your own conclusions. Don't believe me, verify for yourself.

But I think anyone with half a mind can see how ashamed you are of the decisions the Democrats have made in the past concerning the economy, and can see your best arguement against those who know of those decisions is to portray them as liars. Want to talk about connections to the campaigns? OK, lets start with Harold Raines. Was part of the Clinton Administration, then moved to run Fannie Mae, he cooked the books and pocketed over $100 million dollars for himself, then he got caught with his hand in the cookie jar and got fired and had to pay back $25 million to avoid prosecution. ANYONE WANT TO GUESS WHO HAROLD RAINES IS WORKING FOR NOW AS A ECONOMIC ADVISOR? If you said Barrack Obama then you would be correct. I have to go to work now, but when I get back from work, I'm going to spend some time talking about Obama's connections through the CAC in Chicago. Since connections seem to be so important, there's been a break through in this area that the American public hasn't been privvy to yet, and when I have more time this evening I will share with any who are interested.

Why did they vote against it? So people who couldn't qualify for home loans under more RESPONSIBLE and stringent rules could borrow the money for a home they couldn't afford. And now we all get to pitch in for someone else's irresponsibility.

  16. What's goofy, is American's making bad decisions with their own money, and they expecting the US government and their fellow tax payers to bail them out. I feel bad for those who took on a APR mortgage. But that was a private and personal decision made by the individual, and it was a poor choice. That's how people gain experience, by making decisons for themselves. So now the whole world learned what I knew when I purchased my house in 1995, APR loans are a bad idea. People tried to talk me into taking on a APR, telling me it would save me money over a fixed rate. But the common sense factor in my head told me that I didn't want to put my house loan at the mercy of the federal interest rate which can and will fluctuate.
  17. The two major things going on right now can be laid right at the Democrat's feet. High gas prices and house forclosures. The gas thing started about 30 years ago with President Carter. And the housing crisis started 13 years ago when Presdient Clinton signed into law housing financing laws that encouraged bankers to loan money to those who would not be otherwise qualified. But the Democrats are not the only culprits. I blame the entire government. They let the American people down big time. The lesson to anyone who's thinking of purchasing a house in the future. Used a FIXED rate. The Variable rates is what did this, those loans that increased as the interest increased.

  21. So far, I've been wrong about nothing. I pass on information from reputable news sources to inform those who see it. And then allow people to make up their own mind. Obama on one news report interfered with foriegn relations and underminded a sitting President. Obama on another news report, from the reports straight from the White House did not interfere. The truth is in the eye of the beholder. But I think I am safe in saying, on this news story with reference to the Democratic Party, this is the first time President Bush wasn't a "stupid cowboy" or telling "lies". So, either this is the FIRST thing President Bush has ever got right. Or maybe, the critisism from those in the other party need to be taken into context. We are one country. We are all American's. If you find yourself in a bar fight in Banledesh and it's 1 American against 10 Bangledesh citizens, if I was there your numbers would increase by 100%. But if I was in the same bar, with 10 locals and 100 Democrats, I think I would still be on my own. And this thread proves that proves that point. We can't be civil, we can't agree to disagree. We have to call names, we have to insult, we have to demonize. Can't we finish in Iraq? Can't we put up a strong front against those who want to kill us? Can't we find some middle ground on abortion? Can't we find a fair tax law? Can't we promote democracy without pissing people off around the world, probably not, some people don't want to be elected out of office. Can't we come up with clean energy solutions, the arguement has been going on for 30 years so blaming one party for a lack of clean energy is a waste of time. Can't we do something? This country was built on the premise of compromise for the common good. I would like very much to see us get back to that instead of the partisan gridlock and finger point on both sides we have now. WE deserve better. Be informed, vote.

Officials of the Bush administration who were briefed on the meeting by the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad also support Obama's account and dispute the Post story and McCain attack. Both sides so anyone interested can decide for themselves what the truth is.

Bernanke are members of President Bush's CABINET. So it's fair to say, that the only thing the Democratic led Congress is good at is: 1. Assigning blame. 2. Going on vaction during not one, but two crisis' in a row.
