  1. Well it's right outside of Baltimore, Anne Arundel County (Brooklyn Park).
  2. I'm not Jaxon. :-[ Haha.
  3. And I realized something I miss from the old SOCOMs. And that is the tall grass, weeds, shruberry, etc. There is not one map in the game where you can go prone out in the open and not be seen. It might be me but people always stand out, like they glow a little bit. It kind of reminds me of Call of Duty. I haven't seen one "good spot" where you aren't hiding behind something. Anyways, this is coming from a guy who rushes. I just miss being able to hide in the grass in Harvester with your ghille suit and people walking right by you. Anyone else miss this or is it just me?
  4. I really think this is a pointless little "feature" they have brought to us. A good majority of SOCOMers don't care about this, and want fixes and features added to the game that were promised to us. These "tactics" are probably the same sort of "strategies" that are in the guide, pointless.
  5. Well yeah if it is anything less then that, like 128 MB or 256 MB you definitely want to upgrade to at least 512 MB. I don't know how much faster your computer will be operate though if you are running programs like Photoshop and Flash that take huge amounts of memory.
  6. RAM is random access memory. So, no, you will not lose any applications or information if you upgrade. Everytime you power down your computer, the memory stored in RAM dissapears. All your information and applications are stored on your HDD. And to recommend what to upgrade, give me some specs on your computer such as the model of your Dell, your current amount of RAM, and if you are running XP or Vista (I am pretty sure you said XP). Increasing your RAM does speed up your computer and allow you to multi-task. Also, computers have a maximum amount of RAM that can be stored in your computer. My guess is that you probably have 512 MB of RAM, with maximum memory of 2 GB (but that's just a guess )
  7. Okay then plug in a flash drive or something so it comes up in the Disk Management. Because I just tested if i took a CD out of the CD ROM drive, it dissapears.

    Cops!

You need a sidearm. You very well could have been bringing a knife to a gun fight. Did you stay up and watch them drag his ass outta there? Haha, to be honest with you I would not have used it if he came after me lol. I guess I grabbed for more of a sense of secruity. I am by no means a big guy. And I stayed up and watched and they said that he was a resident of the house and that they were going to check his ID. I still am wondering why he is breaking into his own house at like 3:30 in the morning. He didn't have a key?

    Cops!

So I was playing SOCOM real late tonight, and I heard a banging outside of my house. I was like holy shit so I woke up my dad and I grabbed a knife and we like went on our porch to see what was up. And there was this thug guy with a beanie and he kinda like looked at me but was walking around the house across the street. Then the dude opened up a window to their house and lifted himself up and climbed in! I was like OMG! We called 911 and no joke in like a minute there were 5 squad cars parked like all in the middle of the street. They came in silent with no sirens and had spotlights lighting up the whole area. There were cops coming from our back yard and they all had flashlights opening windows and stuff. It was an intense and awesome thing to watch! I always thought cops took forever but they didn't tonight at least.
  10. Well isn't that because your C: drive is removable and the flash drive isn't plugged in?
  11. Okay open the control panel and find Performance and Matinence. If you see that then follow the steps from ther. If you don't see that then there should be Administraive tools. The only difference in XP and Vista is the beginning of the steps.
  12. If you are on Vista do this: 1. Open the Control Panel 2. Switch to Classic View 3. Click Administrative Tools 4. Click Computer Management 5. Click Disk Management 6. Right click on your C: Drive 7. Click Change Drive Letter and Paths 8. Click Change 9. Change the Letter on the drop down next to "Assign the following drive letter" 10. Give it a letter that is not a drive anywhere, like H: or something Okay what this does is changes your C: Drive to H: and that should allow you to use the subst command. So do Run, type in cmd again to open the command prompt and type in: subst C: F:\ make sure it is a backslash Then try to do the install. If it doesn't let you then I am all out of ideas.
  13. Hmmm. I am almost certain that is the problem. If it is not I am at a loss. The reason you are getting that error code is because the path (C:) is invalid, meaning the drive letter is in physical use and is not available. I can bet one of your removable drives is labeled as C:. If it is then let me know because I am going to want to change your removable drive letter.
  14. Red, my fault. Try the same command subst C: F:\ I added a colon after subst accidentally. What this does is creates a virtual drive, a copy of your F: drive and it is named C:. So that is why I am hoping it should work.
  15. I am unsure how F: became the primary drive, because if he has Windows XP SP2 or later, you aren't allowed to change the OS which would be C:. The only thing I can think of is when he installed Windows he had a flash drive or USB stick in the computer and Windows gave the flash drive C: and named his primary drive F:.
  16. I am pretty sure that is the problem. The new upgrade is probably reading the C: Drive. Go to Run and type in cmd. This brings up the command prompt and you type in "subst: C: F:\" (if F is you primary drive), without the quotes. What this does is map the C: drive to an existing folder (F: in your case). After you do that you should be able to run the install. I hope this helps, if it doesn't let you subst then I am not sure what your problem could be.
  17. What is the the name of your primary hard disk? The program could be coded to check the C: Drive, rather then your primary drive. So if your primary drive is something like F:, or anything besides C: let me know.
  18. Just 5000kb? That is about 5 mb which is nothing considering the size of hard drives today. If you have Windows Vista, right click on your C: Drive and click properties. A pie chart should come up telling you the amount of disk spaced is used and how much you have free. If you have Windows XP, just right click My Computer and click properties to bring up the disk space information. If you do not have 5 megabytes free then you either have a shit load of stuff on your computer or you have a small hard drive.
  19. Yeah we had a situation similar. Our mole killed all but 1 guy and was still alive. We found our mole and he led us to the last guy.
  20. I was under the impression it was only 16 as well, because in the rules it says there are 48 AO's and each clan starts out with three. And I guess you could do what Red suggested, only if the deadline to accept/decline was March 1st or earlier for Black: March.
