  1. Well would i have to have signed up or done something for this?? I guess that makes sense.. i hope this is true.. however i also noticed that both Gameinformer and Official Playstation Mag both lack Socom on there release date calendar.. which is usually pretty spot on.. and i cant understand why both have left out Socom for the month of April..
  2. So i have been out of the loop for a few days so forgive me if this has already been talked about..but i got this email yesterday and the ONLY game i have tested for the PSN lately is Socom 4.. and it does have an April release date.. so i can only guess this is Sony's way of breaking it to us lightly.. http://playstation.innovyx.net/v?xnclPPnEHWHPcWvnnJJn Anyone else get this or hear anything??
  3. Well truth be told Player, i was involved in the alpha test of this game and its exactly what we went through.. funny thing is it was never fixed. They held like 5 or so tests on the EPD release that we had and i had a lot probs following in a party and things were not stable. Then they ended it and claimed they had fixed it. Interesting to hear that things havnt changed.. glad socom 4 beta dropped to help keep me occupied in hopes they can actually fix this.
  4. IMO its nothing like CoD other then its FPS ... story alone is brutal.. its amazing that this made it to shelves considering how BAN HAPPY people are these days.
  5. got mine today.. its amazing offline so far.. graphics are up to par and hit detection seems right on. Have yet to get online with it yet.. It is not your average FPS... i mean it is.. but its system is way different and really rewards players who are playing smart and getting kills/points.
  6. 03/10/2011 Written by Sebastian As we speak, the future of PlayStation 3′s in the Netherlands hangs in the balance, and with the country being Sony’s main point of import for PS3s into Europe, the outcome of a legal battle between LG and Sony affects the whole continent. In The Hague, Netherlands, Sony and LG are disputing whether the PS3 infringes on several LG patents right now, but are facing an “uphill battle†10 days ago, LG used a unique Dutch law that allows items to be seized before a ruling was made, confiscating PS3′s in Sony’s Tilburn Centre. Now, during the court case, the number and value of PS3′s seized has apparently been revealed. Gamer.nl reports (translated): In Sony’s distribution center in Tilburg last week 225,000 PlayStation 3′s were seized. The other consoles have been taken by Customs at the port of Rotterdam and Schiphol. The value of the seized PlayStation 3′s is 43 million euros. Florian Mueller – who we interviewed yesterday – also reported on the figures, but warned they have yet to be confirmed: 1st report from The Hague (caution: not yet corroborated!): 300K PS3s seized in NL, 225K in warehouse, 75K at customs, value ~ €43 million. *Update* – Mueller has backed up the original source, claiming further proof that the figures are indeed correct: I have now heard from a 2nd, independent source that roughly 300,000 PlayStations have been seized in Holland. Gamer.nl also revealed that a full court case will be held on November 18th, that will delve into the legitimacy of LG’s claims. Stay tuned to PlayStation LifeStyle for more coverage of the court case as it happens. http://playstationlifestyle.net/2011/03/10/300000-ps3s-were-seized-valued-at-e43-million/
  7. http://www.socom.com/en-us/Blog/Post?id=400 As the April 19th release date for SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy SEALs quickly approaches we're happy to go into detail about everything the game has to offer, which is quite a lot! In addition to its cinematic single-player campaign and highly addictive online competitive multiplayer, SOCOM 4 also features a cooperative multiplayer mode where up to five people can play through a number of dynamic missions set up specifically for co-op play. SOCOM 4's cooperative mode features two main game types: "Takedown" and "Espionage." Takedown charges your team with scouring an enemy-filled location in search of opposing VIPs that you must neutralize however you can. Espionage turns the focus to intelligence gathering, where you must use teamwork to track down enemy data and sabotage their local operations. Before each co-op mission begins, you're able to adjust both the overall difficulty and the density of the enemy soldiers positioned on the map. But even at its easiest, SOCOM 4's cooperative mode has been designed to be challenging – as you progress, you'll need to use teamwork by calling out enemies and objectives to your squadmates. Today's co-op unveil isn't the last you'll hear of SOCOM 4 this week. Tune in to GameTrailers TV tonight and learn how stealth plays a big part in the game's campaign in addition to another special announcement fans won't want to miss!

    SOCOM Beta

Guys sony and zipper have both stated that the beta release has not yet been announced yet. I was also hoping for a chance to play some more, but we will have to wait another few days/weeks till it drops. I am sure too that any codes punched in early will still be reedeemable when its time .
  10. Just to clear a few things up for all, I am the "mod" that has spoken with him and i was more of walking him through what we do expect regardless of ban or ban lift. Here is the PM i sent when i read this post: Although we have recent bonds with Sony, Urgent Fury does not directly represent Sony nor would our affiliation modify or change our advertisement policies or clan expectations to participate in our community. Beyond that, we are not ones to delete or lock posts here at UF. To an extent , we want all members to be allowed freedom of speech, but they must also maintain a professional attitude while at Urgent Fury.
  11. As for what i was told at Zipper.. this COULD be the case but was undecided.. i was told that we would for sure have other ways to get in.. what those are were not released to me .. so its a possibility but the only for sure bet so far is the KZ3 purchase.
  12. Are you going to be buying Killzone 3?
  13. Personally i have always despised this guy. All he does is get WAAAY to close to the camera and complain. I have watched more vids then i would be willing to admit, but i stopped wasting time on them during Confrontation. I had a clan member who literally wanted to be this guy, but it turns out he wanted to be a lot of people ... lol Also , this guy was NOT one of the 18 people Zipper flew out and allowed to help shape the new Socom.. so hopefully that put him in his place, although im sure he thinks that zipper chose poor candidates since he didnt go.. in fact i bet there is a video about it.. lol
  14. yea i loved socom 2, 503 was a Fox Hunt clan.. but i dont want it back. Just lookin at the graphics and reticle makes me glad i dont play these anymore.. lol sorry to those who feel different .. also it was confirmed to me that at this time Socom 2 Hi Def remake wasnt being made and if so , it wouldnt be made by Zipper.. which right there stands to fail if you ask me.
  15. I just grabbed the Turtle Beach DPX21s .. they have added a dolby digital processing box to the PX21s that runs off of the optical cable output from ps3. Great thing is ps3 allows multiple output sources on audio so when you want your headset to play CoD you got it w/ a mic, while when you want to just play a game of NBA2K11 you dont have to change settings or anything.. simple and easy but effective. I have only had my TBs for a few days.. but i did had the AX720s and i took them back due to being too bulky and at the time didnt think i really wanted to spend that kind of money on a headset.
