Great news...... Start with a 1 time non refundable fee for these leagues you provide...... A clan would be able to absorb a entry fee together more easily then a few members. I would pay for our clan to be part of a Call of Duty4, Army of Two, or Socom Confrontation league here...... Specially if you somehow continue to have sponsored events where you could give away prizes. I sure some game companies or electronic companies would want their names attached to something like this. All just thoughts and what ifs..... but knowing your doing other things is great news.

I know this isnt what you want to hear but the program your using is KNOWN for constant issues. All the support forums are flooded with people complaining about Dazzle. Unfortunately, I found out after the fact also..... I have Pinacle 10 and hate it and I've had nothing but problems with it.... I sincerely suggest a different program.

Wish I could take credit for that one...... A guy from our group made it though.

lol, ok so I was bored. But you know you like it....................

Then in the old lady voice of Gilda Radner..... "Nevermind".

This is VERY misleading. I don't want to turn this thread into a PS3 "next gen" vs "Socom CA" war but your statements (even though they have some truth to it) are very misleading. I don't care who owns a PS3.... If you sign on your PS3 to play Socom CA your doing it cause most of your clan is there, your doing it due to this community, your doing it cause it's where your comfort level is, not cause the game itself is so great that you prefer it over "next gen" games. I can't remember who's reply it was (I think SiX said it) but its a simple fact of not wanting to leave clan members behind who don't own PS3s. This is a PS2, Socom driven website and I respect that. But to compare the following Halo3 has to Socom CA is completely retarded. In no time has Socom CA had 1 million people on-line and playing it. I am by no means a Halo3 fanboy, but I appreciate what it brings to the table. I don't like it and prefer not to play it, but the following is HUGE. I've always went where they games were. I didn't care which system it was on as long as I had fun playing them. Socom2 kept me on the PS2. Graw & Graw2 brought me to the Xbox 360. Now, CoD4 is bringing me to the PS3. I just think people need to expand their minds about other games / systems in general. Only person missing out is yourself.

lol, maybe you should throw up a pay pal link so we can bring your ass into "next gen". ;D

It just became so clear to me.......

I think "any" idea to bring help to this arena is a good one. Â My suggestion was maybe taking a different approach to doing it. Â Without getting into a "Socom CA can't be milked for anything further" debate I just felt going in a different direction might get different results and accomplish bringing some new decent clans here along with some financial support of the website. Â They spent a lot of time on the Breakout portion of this website (which I know Sniper doesn't have a lot of). I know that "NSL" might be a bad word around here but they did do something that was pretty cool. Â Why not have a special (sniper made) logo under our names (cause there is a mod for that) thats shows people who have donated financially? Â I would rather just click a paypal link and donate $10 to the cause then play Socom CA. I don't know why Breakout didn't work..... Â Cause it was "another" Socom CA game? Â Cause they charged money to enter? Â Cause they put limitations on team members? Â Cause people are simply too cheap? Â I don't know. Â I only know my personal reasons for not getting in. Â Just because 1 didn't work doesn't mean you quit trying.... I'm just offering up ideas and suggestions. Â Hell, I still think a paypal link would work. Â Or, a 1 time non refundable clan entry fee of $20 before the big season events.

With Army of Two coming out middle in the middle of November I was wondering if any thought was put into using this game as a way to bring money back to the UF. They announced that there will be multiplayer in the forms of 2 v 2. There's a few different game type modes and several maps. Not sure if it would bring the numbers you want, but I know at least 3 to 4 teams from [iLL] would stop over here for it. Also, if you opened it up a bit, you could attract other clans in here just for the money tournament. Sure, you "might" get 1 or 2 you don't want for future events, but who knows.... you might grab 3 or 4 more that you do. Just a thought.........
-
Pretty well thought out comments there.... Thanks for the input. I actually had to hit refresh after reading your response to make sure I was still on the UF forums instead of Gamebattles.
-
Actually there are a few upcoming options with potential: 1 - Call of Duty4 8 v 8 multiplayer 2 - Army of Two 2 v 2 multiplayer * which could be used as UF's $10 per team tourney 3 - Soldier of Fortune: Payback (which looks like Socom2 in a FPS) 4 - Battlefield: Bad Company
-
With the web design & story telling you have here in the UF, Im sure whatever direction you choose to take your efforts will be a "must play" senerio. I think its a great move Tow......
-
I used to feel that way to until Call of Duty2 on the 360. Its the first FPS that didnt make me feel trapped. And to be honest, there isnt any other FPS game I like playing.

There are 4 custom load outs that you can create. Each can have "perks" more suitable to your playing style or particular map your on. Tow, if you go to our website and click on the Call of Duty4 section all of these perks are listed and demonstrated. They are also on Gametrailers.com. Several of our clan was on the beta and loved it. The latest video shows PS3 players online and playing. Looks like a great game. I have all the perk videos posted on our site listed as "features". Click here and enjoy: http://www.illgamers.com/forums/index.php?board=47.0

789,000 people online right now playing Halo3 on the Xbox 360. Socom has NEVER had this type of following. Trust me, I wish it did cause Im not a big Halo fan. But, I would rather play Halo3 then Socom CA. This is a Socom site with many users still only owning a PS2 so Im not sure how "fair" your poll results will be. And like Gravity said....... Many PS3 owners come "back" to play Socom CA cause thats where their friends are at.

That line starts behind me....... Sniper is really busy according to his email reply to me. We'd LOVE him to step in and help us out when he gets time. There are a lot of free templates out there.... but, they look like free templates. We have a few guys in our group that would help you out. Not sure if they'd charge or not..... thats up to them.

Wonder what or if this means anything for PS3 owners? Also, for other games on the 360.... Interesting read..... Bungie and Microsoft officially split Halo 3-maker set to "return to its independent roots" with MS retaining a minority financial stake in the company. By Emma Boyes, GameSpot UK Posted Oct 5, 2007 8:52 am PT Rumours have been bubbling over the Internet cauldron all week that Bungie would be jumping ship from its corporate masters at Microsoft. The rumours seemed unlikely to be true, as Bungie has been wholly owned by the Microsoft machine since 2000. Today, though, the unlikely became reality. This morning, Bungie announced it was officially splitting away from Microsoft to become an independent, privately held developer, Bungie LLC. Microsoft will continue to retain a minority stake in Bungie and continue its long-standing publishing agreement with the company. "While we are supporting Bungie's desire to return to its independent roots, we will continue to invest in our Halo entertainment property with Bungie and other partners, such as Peter Jackson, on a new interactive series set in the Halo universe," said Shane Kim, corporate vice president of Microsoft Game Studios. Bungie will remain in its current location in Kirkland, Washington, and will retain its primary focus on Microsoft platforms. Harold Ryan, Bungie's studio head, commented, "This...will enable us to expand both creatively and organizationally." Ryan also stated that the studio would continue to work on Halo and "beyond." "Bungie is like a shark," said Bungie founder Jason Jones. "We have to keep moving to survive. We have to continually test ourselves, or we might as well be dolphins. Or manatees." (Emphasis in the original.) Bungie's latest release, Halo 3, has nabbed $300 million in sales in its first week, becoming the fastest-selling video game in history and is even topping charts in Japan.

ATTENTION SMALL CLANS...A POSSIBLE MERGE WOULD BE NICE
WiZ replied to STREETSWEEPR1's topic in Playstation
Its been touched on by Chili but he is right. It will only get worse trying to maintain Socom CA only clans with the PS3 & 360 out. Both offer some pretty impressive alternatives and the games coming out the next few months will even pull more away from the PS2. Street, it might be time to make the move forward and find your way into "next gen". Good luck with your merge though, cause a lot of clans (mine included) are going or have went through the exact same thing. ..... see Tow, I didnt mention anything about how great CoD4 will be........ oops -
Thats the thing.... I'm the same way. Like I said earlier Tow this is the ONLY FPS game where I don't feel "closed in" on. I sincerely don't have the "I cant see enough" feeling. They didn't release much of the clan functions in the beta. They allowed you to put on a tag but thats about it. On the official website that have a "clan" link so I'm assuming (and hoping) its a indication of something special for clans. Just keep a open mind....... This might be the perfect time filler until Confrontation comes out.

For me, it wasn't about comparing the games to each other but the feeling I get playing em. CoD4 is the first game since Socom 2 that I actually came home from work and couldn't wait to sign on to play. This game gives me those exact same feelings. You heard it here first..... Call of Duty4 will be a HUGE lasting title for the PS3 and anybody that doesn't get on board because "they only like Socom" or due to "most CoD games on the Playstation are junk" will be missing out on a great game. Resistance & CoD4 aren't even close to being the same game..... I've played em both and they shouldn't even been put in the same sentence.
-
Not a "better" game..... Its basically the same game with more people playing it. The graphics are a bit better on the PS3 version but the 360 lobby kills PS3s. I love it GRAW2, always have........ We have a few guys on the PS3 GRAW2 every night.

glad these things your pointing out added up to a Detroit win..... So, thank you to Chicago for playing "horrible" or we would have never won.
