What features have you liked / disliked about other clan sites? If you were going to design the perfect clan site, what info would you include? What pages would there be? I want to compile a list of everything you guys think make a clan site "sweet".

lol, guess its time that a certain UF staff member picked up a PS3 Tow, shouldn't you require staff members to own PS3s seeings how this is a Playstation oriented website? Well, at least 1 that we both have ties to? hahaha

With money comes cheating. And I want to enjoy my gaming still and choose not to surround myself with people who'd cheat for pennies. Defeats the purpose of why I even sign online with my 360 / PS3.

This is how I feel as well...... With Halo3's ranking/website/party system & CoD4s gameplay and graphics there was no way they could release what they had. I expect great things from the next Socom. The bar has been set with the above games.... Anything less will be exactly that, less!

Skuba has been around a long time....... He was a beast in Socom2 and played a HUGE roll in his team's success in the UF. We [MOB] only matched up with them 1 time in the best Fishook battle I've ever played in. So, he does have some history here Havoc. Now dont get me wrong, its not a free pass to be a dick here to anybody, but he has been around and won some things here.

Didnt you just win a nice TV? Â You owe it to that TV and this community to start playing something pretty on that thing. Â Take your ass to Best Buy, get a GREAT deal on a PS3 and pick up CoD4. Â

Im a big Michigan football fan but let's be realistic here..... #1 in the country a week ago and lose to Illinois then barely beat a banged up Michigan team by 11? Only true bright spot left for the Big Ten was Ohio St in the National Championship game and YOU guys blew it. Illinois..... come on now.

I enjoy.... Team Deathmatch (respawns turned off) Search & Destroy Sabotage All with "friendly fire" turned on. * what about this * Since the numbers are only 9v9 at the most and many clans have 24+ people, if you use smaller numbers during a certain war (like a 4v4 on a Tuesday) that you make the same clan use different guys from the roster for the Thursday war? Or, allow them to re-use a certain percentage for Thursdays war. Might add some more planning on a leaders part for using players according to their strengths. Also, not having the same 4 or 5 players playing EVERY match. Just a thought you might be able to add for a twist to the scenerio.

ANY man here who has a wife who TELLS HIM TO BUY A PS3.......well, sir.....you need to go do it before she changes her mind! LOL I was thinking the same thing...... If you have a wife that says "You can buy a PS3" I'd have the car started before she said "PS3"........

I disagree..... The only trouble we have are traveling as a party through public ranked rooms. We have NEVER had a problem running a private match (which is what all UF matches will use).

I agree completely..... There was nothing "special" about our match lastnight. Unfortunately "respawn" creates that for many Socom style players. Thats why we set up a few private matches with no respawns and it was a lot different. You had that feeling where you'd get nervous about getting killed. You moved a bit slower, thought a bit more about moves you made.... I don't know, it just made it a bit more enjoyable for me. Like our war lastnight on Shipment..... Getting killed meant nothing because in 5 seconds you'd be right back in the thick of things with your respawn. Same on the 2nd map.... We just got lucky to get up on your guys enough and pin you in the corner with airstrikes and the helicopter until the point limit was reached. I'm not sure what these UF guys are thinking but I think controlling the respawns is better then playing the maps numerous times. Respawn is still respawn no matter how many maps you play to determine a winner.

Yup, your right..... Sabotage is more like Demolition in Socom CA. Search & Destroy is more like Demolition in Socom2. In Sabotage there is a big red "kill arrow" on the person with the bomb though.....

If you can understand that this game isn't Socom and the "clan" community is lacking..... you still can play this close to what Socom offers. Lastnight we created the private room. We enabled "friendly fire" and played Team Deathmatch with no respawns. I think this is as close as it gets to Socom. The only drawback was that you came back to the lobby after each round but it was easily started right back up to go just about as quick as Socom did between rounds. People that have custom load outs can pick them during the countdown. You would have to incorporate the scoring though into the UF picture. Like we won the first round 60-50 cause we had 1 guy left at the end in a 6v6. Would that give us 1 round and the loser 0? Or would that give us 60 pts for our 6 kills and the loser 50 pts for their 5? CoD4 in Team Deathmatch with friendly fire on and no respawns plays like "Suppression". CoD4 in Search & Destroy with friendly fire on and no respawn plays like "Demolition". Then you have modes like Headquarters & Domination who use "respawn with a goal" that could be implemented as well. Like I said Tow, I'd gladly help test and configure rooms / matches if needed.

Tow.... In your research on how this could or couldn't fit in with the UF try these things in your test rooms. The 3 modes I like the best and prefer to play are: Search & Destroy Sabotage Headquarters If you set it up in a private room on "Hardcore" this equals a GREAT gaming experience. Hardcore is "friendly fire" turned on, the radar turned off, and the hit damage is raised. It slows down the gameplay a bit because now a mistake is costly. And for the record, this game doesn't ruin the clan feeling for me. Sure some of the clan "features" are lacking but rolling with my guys (even though its hard to get everybody together) is as good as its ever been. We have a website that has kept us a clan without Socom3 & CA. I wish more games followed the Socom's clan features though. But like I said, unfortunately I think developers will be relying more and more on the Live & PSN services. Anyways, try the above modes and post your thoughts here. I'm really curious as to what the UF staff thinks.

But you know..... maybe this is a great thing. Its telling them that they need to step it up to compete with what other companies are doing. Unfortunately I see games dumping the lobby / clan features due to letting the Live & PSN service take on those responsibilities. I'd like to think it isnt so, but I really believe this is the case.

I think the only way somebody could enter is if they were invited.
