Yes, but its SO expensive. We have a guy in our clan that does that type of stuff for a living and he was able to get his hands on one for a bit and Im sure we'll have some decent videos in HDMI soon. Thats Motorhead. I always thought it was a PERFECT song for a video game film. I think I wasted it on a rookie effort though.

Exactly...... Having the Kill Cam off does NOT make you a better / more skilled player. How does allowing a player to lay in the weeds with a silent weapon at a spawn choke point make him "better"? With the Kill Cam on, your forced to move, your forced to adapt, your forced to set up and try something different. If anything, this will make you a better overall player. And like Tow said, if Im dumb enough to lay there knowing its on then I deserved to get knifed in the back.

It comes with Studio 10 (which now has a Vista patch available). I run the PS3 into this: Then I split the signal. One to the TV for playing and the other to the Pinnacle for capturing the video through the laptop.

Ok, I finally got it all set up and played with it a bit. Dont judge "what I do" cause I couldnt see all that great. I just wanted practice with the edit part of making videos. Still, something fun to watch..... I plan on making more later. http://useruploads.mythica.org/view/wizics2.wmv.html

lol, I dont wanna fight either.... I need ya for my forum mod

Im 100% serious..... In "respawn based" gameplay I absolutely want the killcam on. Its not about rewarding a guy for dying, its about not letting a guy lay in the weeds with a silent rifle for the entire map. Im all for "stealth & tactics" but the above situation (which happened all the time on Graw2) isnt talent. Just my 2 cents Rage.

I prefer it on as well....... Specially in respawn. If it was one death like in S&D then I could care less. But with respawn for somebody to just hide in the weeds and shoot you & your team members with a silent weapon isnt talent filled. Kill cam on for me.

You know what would be nice..... It would be a good idea to have a professional downloadable flyer here from the site we could print up and hang in our local gaming shops to rep the UF. I know a few places I could hang it up.

You couldn't be more wrong. Maybe I didn't word it exactly right but I'm completely aware of what the "evaluation" tournaments consist of and their purpose. In fact, I was going to suggest our spot for another "borderline" clan thats out there. I'm not saying we are a "lock" by any means, but we've been around here in some shape for a long time. Many here know what type of gamers / guys we're made up of. Trust me, I would love to see a 32 clan double elimination tournament before a 16 team 4 week tournament that would potentially leave some proven / veteran clans like ours on the outside looking in.
-
I think switching it from a 4 week minimum to a double elimination tournament is a good idea.

Well, with us Tow we know what to expect here at UF. We just want a place to compete and it doesn't get much better then this. I will continue to look for decent clans in public rooms in hopes of bringing the total up to the number needed. I was looking at a few of the clans who have already applied and some look "iffy" at best with some of their answers. Some haven't been together long, others have a lot of "young" members, and some have a small roster size. I understand that this first tourney is to evaluate clans but I think you might have some that aren't on the same commitment level needed to play here. I'll send what I can over here that fit the "UF mold".

I personally didnt like the bluetooth headsets. Seems like every clan member who used em sounded muffled and they brought WAY too much background noise with them and it just ruined the room. I found a USB Cyber Acoustics headset with a volume & mute control and I love it. It looks just like this one, only this one doesnt have the mute and inline volume control: This one looks good to. And it DOES have the inline mute & volume control. Wired mics are SO much easier on the people in the room with you. The voices are more clear and the background noise is just about gone. Just my 2 cents.

10 inches of snow here in lower Michigan today. :'(

Thats the exact map we were playing..... I know you plan on using all the maps so your saying that you'll be sticking with 8v8 on maps like Shipment? And that other small other small one with the statue in the middle.....
-
Is this locked in stone? > Each and every war will be played with an 8v8 limit on each team. No team may play with more than 8 for any match, though a team may play with less than 8 if they have to. In any non hardcore setting 8v8 respawn based mode it becomes a HUGE lagfest. Even the maps they use for larger groups in "groundwar" lag something horrible. Maybe the no grenades will help but for the most part its miserable. I was curious what you guys thought and if this was a done deal. I know this tournament is to evaluate gameplay for future events but I see this as a big hurdle right off the bat.

Headquarters is garbage........ By far the worst mode in the game. Search & Destroy, Sabotage (without the hud & no respawns), Domination (with 5 respawns) and Team Deathmatch (with no respawns) all on Hardcore and you got it
-
Exactly..... and the sloppy wreckless gameplay is removed. Deaths should mean something more then "just 5 points for the other guys". There is nothing more I hate then going 20-4 and finishing 2nd to a guy that just went 21-18. I mean really, what sense does that make?
-
I thought the same, just didnt type it. I think they should be typed out as well in that same thread.

I was the first to pos in the clan rep section Hardcore is BY FAR the way to go.......
-
Ok, I checked GB's default settings and it looks like "Hardcore" mode IS an option in private matches. I REALLY hope this can be talked about to see what people think. All of our gameplay during evenings is Hardcore and we love it. People die when you shoot em, your forced to play a more quality game due to not wanting to die. You have to earn UAV's in order for the HUD to work. I think it just all around encourages skilled quality gameplay. This open for discussion?
-
I was curious if you have the option in private rooms to just simply play "hardcore" mode. We had a war lastnight without it and its flat out terrible. I felt like I was playing Gears of War, Halo3, or Resistance with how many hits it takes to finally drop a guy. And then, when you did go through a clip or so to just "down" him you had to repeat the process if he was using the "Last Stand" perk. As much as I love this game this was the first time I hated playing it. The rest of my group is in agreement with my thoughts as well. Hardcore mode is the way to go and although I don't know if it can be done in private rooms yet, I sincerely hope the UF adopts this as default setting. Was testing down with this?

Looks like they want to get rid of all those 5 star 55s. No thanks, I like my 5 stars just fine.
-
They really need to at least double our friends list size. Hell I got 25+ spots taken up by my own clan members.

Our PM exchanges are still going right? You want me to fill all that stuff out or are our talks beyond that point? Im interested in going forward.....
