krazyeyedkevin Posted November 4, 2007 Report Posted November 4, 2007 If you plan on doing any torrent downloading Avoid Linksys they have a tendency to hold open packets, and bottle neck your system and always require a power cycle. Quote
SOTG Zero Posted November 4, 2007 Report Posted November 4, 2007 http://www.amazon.com/Linksys-WRT54GS-Wireless-G-Broadband-SpeedBooster/dp/B0001D3K8A/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2/103-8071414-9226234?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1194197463&sr=8-2 That is what I use... Works great! I have it hard wired to my PS3 and wireless to my computer. I have the Linksys Wireless-G connected to my computer to get the wireless. Works flawlessly. Quote
xREVERENDx Posted November 4, 2007 Report Posted November 4, 2007 Linksys has damned EXCELLENT customer support too. Quote
TOW-19 Posted November 4, 2007 Report Posted November 4, 2007 I had Linksys for a while and had some spotted problems here and there. When I went to MicroCenter, the sales assoc. there talked me into getting a Buffalo wireless system. That was about 2 yrs ago, and I have had great luck with it. The sales assoc. there told me that there are some specifications to the Buffalo that make it excellent in an online gamer's perspective, as that was the main focus I told him I had in mind for my wireless connection. I was careful about it, as I had not heard about Buffalo before, be he swore up and down on their reliability and quality, and from the store, I checked out their website. I walked out with it....and never had to walk back in with problems. Quote
chris_pheonix7 Posted November 4, 2007 Report Posted November 4, 2007 if you want your router to be a gaming router its pretty easy to change the settings and make it optimal for next gen systems Quote
