Urgent Fury is proud to present to its UF community members a first look at:

 

The Urgent Fury CRUCIBLE

 

The Crucible will be Urgent Fury's walk into the territory of the newest online military shooter, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. For a solid week now, the UF Staff have been diligently picking this game and all of its aspects apart to ascertain whether or not this game can fit the UF template. Well, the verdict has come down and the verdict is a GO!

 

Much like the long-timers here at UF have come to expect, the quality we've put into the Socom tourneys will not waver on our installments of the CoD4 tourneys. There will be a web-supported tacmap tourney for CoD4.....but before that....clans will have to participate in The UF Crucible, CoD4's version of the UF: Black tourneys for evaluation in UF. Records will be kept so that NO inexperienced UF community clan will be able to participate in our tacmap tourneys until they pass The UF Crucible!

 

The "Crucible" is the real-life final test of a US Marine in Phase III of Marine Corps recruit training designed to emphasize the importance of team work in overcoming adversity. Well, team work just happens to be what we emphasize here with the quality clans that have migrated to Urgent Fury over these years. The UF Crucible will be the ONGOING evaluation tourney for ANY clan to gain entry into the upcoming CoD4 tacmap tourneys. The UF Community was clamoring for it, and UF, as promised, will DELIVER!

 

Keep these important hard dates in mind:

DECEMBER 9th: Sign ups for The UF Crucible will be released for the UF Community.

JANUARY 6th: Invitations for this invitation-only evaluation will be sent out to participating clans.

JANUARY 20th: The week The UF Crucible will LAUNCH.

 

Winners of each and every UF Crucible will ensure their place in the upcoming CoD4 UF tacmap tourney. And as you all are well-aware, UF does NOT skimp on the production value of our tacmap tourneys. Expect no less for our treatment for CoD4. Winners will be awarded The Reaper Award, honoring the "final test" of a US Marine's Crucible training. An ongoing plaque will be posted on the UF website and your clan will be immortalized on this list if you're strong enough to survive the Crucible.

 

UF Creators Sniper and Undertow could not be more excited to finally see our dream of UF's expansion finally see the light of day. With CoD4, we believe that this day has finally arrived. Evaluations of this game will continue, but our dedication to creating the next branch of our tournament site is on-target. You know what Urgent Fury did for Socom and your enjoyment of that game, now experience the same intensity in your next-gen gaming with The UF Crucible!

 

You now have the dates, you now have the idea.

NOW, prepare yourself and your clan for the next most intense tourney experience you will ever participate in!

hoped socom would be the # 1 still and it sounds like it will

 

nice ...i'm sure everybody will be getting ps3 next year..atleast i will and i'll have to give this cod game a shot maybe but by then their will be a new socom

Let me tell you fellas, if have not played the game yet, you don't know what you are missing. It is EXCELLENT and VERY fun. You will not regret purchasing it!

I Couldn't agree more..!

 

Don't knock it till you try it.

If you have the opportunity (PS3, 360) at least rent it.

The $5 will be a waste cuz you will go out and buy it after you play it, but if it makes you feel better rent it first. ;D

This should go without saying.....

 

BUT....if you're online on CoD4 and run across some great clans with a sportman-like attitude....INVITE 'EM IN! The UF Crucible won't be on a roll if there aren't enough clans to fill it.

 

And the faster we get quality clans in this community for the UF Crucible, then the better the selection and chances of having a GREAT CoD4 Tacmap tourney once the first UF Crucible is done.

 

SO.....again.....if you see them, if you play them and if you dig them......GET THEM ON HERE!

360 has it too

 

Urgent Fury will ONLY be using Playstation 3 version of this game.

Now I have a stupid question. I have CoD4, but I believe I am the only one in my clan with it. I would like to participate, but I have no clan. I guess my question is, would I be allowed to join a different clan on CoD4 than the one I'm on now, because I have no intentions on leaving The Brotherhood on Socom?

We're talking almost 2 months from now, you never know.. The brotherhood might have 6 guys with PS3's by then.

 

lol...No, I think there might be some confusion...lol. We have several members with PS3's, but none of which seem to want to get into CoD4, unlike me. I'm just ready to put the next gen. system into use, plus, I had a blast with it on single mode.
