it seems like every year my linksys router goes to shit, it just stops working, either because of the power supply or just because it sucks, and like ill call the support line and i know more than they do (probobly because the support people all live in some 3rd world country) but it just aggrivates the hell out of me. and get this the tech support is 24/7 but the "i want to send my piece of shit router in to get fixed line" is monday to friday, so i just went and bought the same shitty router at bestbuy in which i will return in 30 days after recieving my shitty refurbished piece of shit router back from linksys.

Not a lot of people have heard of it, but I've been using the same one now for about 4-5 years and it hasn't let me down.

my shit is screwing up on me I think too. I get booted for no apparent reason! I thought it was my cable but I dont lose phone or tv...just anything hooked to the router. It will go out for a few seconds.

I have been using Linksys and It Hasn't really let me down , But yea the stupid third world country people be like can you please speak English, I be like I am you fucking dumass now help me or fucking learn some damn English because you telling me to speak English when you can't even pronounce the company you are working under's name right you fucking dumass, so tell me to do this shit, Then they be like please spell out your name for me i be Like A like in Apple and he be like L like in lion and I be like no you dumb fuck A like in Apple..

 

I can go on and on with these stories but yea. I hate calling up customer service for something that i will waste hours with them doing i can spend about a half and hour wit some1 from America who can under me and I can understand them

Some of these Problems also occur to me to !!! I would be playing a Online game Of Starcraft on my Pc and my routers connection would shut off or Do some retarded shit and I would get the god dam loss.... > aRRrRrRg!!!!!

most routers need firmware updates that you have to do yourself, I have TimeWarner and since I have what they call all in one (cable,internet,phone) they supply me with router for free and If something goes wrong they come out and fix it or replace it

Yeah I gave away my Linksys and bought a Netgear router they have a few I like but the hell with that Linksys shit!!

lynksys gave me tons of problems. went to net gear had a few issues and made the switch to d-link and havent had any issues at all with router.

I have all in one from time warner as well..... I have thier MODEM but not a ROUTER from them. I am under the impression that they have ROUTERS but you have to pay monthly charges for it. Is that not the case? Or were you refering to the modem they supply?

From my experience LinkSys is one of the better routers and Netgear is probably the worst.

Top 3 are LinkSys, D-Link and Buffalo in no particular order. The only reason LinkSys is not the best overall is their firmware BUT if you have a WRT54 series there is open source 3rd party firmware that is REALLY good.

I had this same problem but I called the support and they helped me with the settings and now I haven't had a problem since.

Yeah I gave away my Linksys and bought a Netgear router they have a few I like but the hell with that Linksys shit!!

Just the opposite for me. I had a netgear wich I had to open a bunch of ports for mics to work & even then two mics would not work at the same time. Got my linksys with speedboost & had 3 friends over all with psp's with working mics.No need to open ports or assign static IP's or any of that fun stuff.

In a week or so I plan on getting this baby

When I upgraded earlier this year to wireless, I went with Linksys again, and have yet to have problems.
