Guest SuddenRedScare Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 WARPIG ]I feel you aren't listening or reading cause I see plenty and posted plenty of what he has laid out. If you will take the time and read through Obama's blue print, I don't see how anyone could make your statement. And you still can't get around the fact that this has been a republican run country for the last 8 years. 3/4 of that time have been a republican run congress. Yes, I will agree that the democrats hold some responsibly also... but it mainly falls on failed republican policy. You know what fails Pig? The whole two party system and the liberal media. Both will run the country into the ground... or worse. Our deficit should be the main problem for these candidates. We borrow so much money from China to buy oil from the Saudi's. Seriously, if China decided to call in their debt, they'd literally own us. If you're looking for a good, clean, intelligent debate, hit me up on AIM. I love hearing other people's opinions. Quote
WARPIG Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 No argument here on the two party system. I can tell you also that if Ron Paul would have been picked by the republican party I'd be voting republican this year. One thing I don't agree on, is this myth of "liberal media". It's made up by far right wing conservatives IMO. I believe we have MSNBC which does lean left a bit and FauxNews which falls way right. CNN is the most middle of the road IMO. But I don't buy that there is liberal media. Also every has made liberal this bad word. Why? I'm what I like to refer to as a progressive moderate. China does pretty much own us right now. It's sad. Not too many ppl understand or even know this. Many parts of our government would have to shut down if it wasn't for them. Sucks. The dems had our deficit down to $5.7 trillion and a budget surplus of $281 billion... now we are $9.3 trillion deficit and $380 billion deficit on the budget. Both parties suck, but I think this brand of republican sucks more. LOL Quote

Both parties suck, but I think this brand of republican sucks more. LOL I must say you know you're shit. Finally someone I can get into a friendly, intelligent political argument with. First off, how the can you say that MSNBC is only a little bit to the left? Have you even watched Kieth Olberman or Chris Matthews? They're about as far left as you can get without being socialists. Same with CNN although I do enjoy watching Glenn Beck. He's seems pretty liberal but can still be fair at times. I'm not sure why everyone has it out for Fox News. I'm not one who watches the new religiously but when I do, I watch Fox. To me, it's as close to a happy medium and you can. Secondly, I agree with the you on how the Republicans fucked our deficit, but seriously, how could we have prevented it? Our nation runs on oil and the demand for it just keeps going up with the price. We our need oil although borrowing money from a communist country is not how I would have handled it. Both parties indeed suck. That's why I plan on making a push for third party candidate. It's up to us to stand up to this potential disaster before we're all fucked. Also, why is everyone so high on a universal health system? It's a disaster waiting to happen. With Obama making government even bigger, it will inevitably become more bureaucratic. More government and more government spending with much higher taxes is not a good idea. It has been shown on many occasions government can't handle social affairs. It's just a plain bad idea. I would however make the argument for universal health care for children... That's a whole argument in itself. It's off to school for me.... after I go smoke this hookah that is. Have a wonderful day. Quote
HogWild_101st Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 WARPIG ]I believe we have MSNBC which does lean left a bit A bit left? http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/08/business/media/08msnbc.html?_r=3&ref=business&oref=slogin&oref=slogin&oref=slogin After months of accusations of political bias and simmering animosity between MSNBC and its parent network NBC, the channel decided over the weekend that the NBC News correspondent and MSNBC host David Gregory would anchor news coverage of the coming debates and election night. Mr. Olbermann and Mr. Matthews will remain as analysts during the coverage. “The most disappointing shift is to see the partisan attitude move from prime time into what’s supposed to be straight news programming,†said Davidson Goldin, formerly the editorial director of MSNBC and a co-founder of the reputation management firm DolceGoldin. In interviews, 10 current and former staff members said that long-simmering tensions between MSNBC and NBC reached a boiling point during the conventions. “MSNBC is behaving like a heroin addict,†one senior staff member observed. “They’re living from fix to fix and swearing they’ll go into rehab the next week.†Quote
WARPIG Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 This is probably the best proof that the media's bias is conservative, not liberal. Myth: The U.S. has a liberal media. Fact: The media are being increasingly monopolized by parent corporations with pro- corporate or conservative agendas. http://www.huppi.com/kangaroo/L-liberalmedia.htm http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/americandebate/19386344.html Quote
Red0ctobeR Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 SO you are saying General Electric has a Conservative agenda? I like your sources. One is a leberal blog and the other is using sources from VERY liberal people. Adam Myerson and Jeff Cohen. Please Let me hear the media is not liberal from, oh Joe Liebermann. Oh wait he DID say the media is liberal. LOL Quote
WARPIG Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 And there you have are dog chasing the tail debate. You say my sources are no good, I say yours are no good, we post stuff and start all over. LOL Yeah, this is fun. *sarcasm* Quote
Guest SuddenRedScare Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 I'd just like an explanation on how you think the media is more conservative. Do you even watch the news? Reading political blogs about what was said on the news is not watching news. You're obviously a liberal. One who naturally reads liberal blogs and such. Do you see the connection of how your judgment may me skewed a bit? Quote

Guest SuddenRedScare Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 There's a difference between debating and arguing. I respect Piggy's views (Even though he's a socialist Pig [Pun intended]) It's just nice to get into a debate with someone who actually knows his shit. No mud slinging over here at all. Speaking of Socialist Pigs, have any of you ever read that George Orwell book, Animal Farm? That book is just plain terrible. Quote
Red0ctobeR Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 You need to read the Anatomy of Fascism, By Robert Paxton. It is a slow read, but good read. Quote
Guest SuddenRedScare Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 Sounds like something I would enjoy. When was it written? Quote
