PS3 help

So my PS3 is not working. It powers on and and says Sony computer entertainment, and thats it. The screen stays the same and has the wace image but thats all, it doesn't load the user menu or anything. I tried powering on with/without dvd/game and nothing....Anyoone ever have this problem?

I had this problem before. There is nothing you can do about it but send it back to sony and have them fix it.

just for anyones info i had a friend whos hardrive fucked up where it like wouldnt even run kinda thing, and all he had to do was put his hardrive into a different playstation and take the harddrive from the other playstation and place it in his and reformate either one or both i cant remember. but it might save someone here 150$.

thanks for that link man. i didnt know about the 3rd beep thing. i use it til 2 beeps whenever changing TV's from HDMI.

I tried the fix to the "Wave of Death" that way. Long story short it didn't work for me and I ended up buying a new PS3 in December because I didn't want to leave my horsemen team shorthanded. I'm planning on returning this new PS3 Friday, when my fixed one is to arrive from Sony.

 

On another note I was SHOCKED at how quickly they sent me out a new PS3, I got an Email Tuesday night that they were sending out my new PS3 and accessories (don't know why, but I'll take a free controller and backup cords). I received their prepaid box while out of town and I sent it to them on Saturday. They pay for next day air for UPS and I already had a new one in the mail 3 days later. That's faster than I ever would have thought from Sony. I've heard of people waiting weeks. Anyhow the PS3 they're sending me is 3 day select, I wish they would have done it next day air too lol.
