3 weeks, since circuit city was closing i had to wait until the insurance company send me a check giving me the amount of money i had originally paid. It took this turds 2 weeks to mail me a check even after i had sent them my PS3.

 

So it was not from SONY, i was using my protection plan from circuit city which went wrong due to them closing. So now i bought a new PS3 from BEST BUY ;D

CDBS you'd have been better off sending it to Sony. It took them from start to finish a little over a week to fix mine and send it back from the day I sent it to Sony. Best buy accepts warrantied PS3's on the spot and exchanges them though, so you are in good shape.
