Podcast 44 is up including a special 9/11 Tribute. Also, the podcast player gets a much needed update. The player gets a slightly updated look along with new player buttons. This is naturally an attempt at Havoc trying to "embarrass" us but we are not embarrassed at all. We don't like drama and that was the very reason that we chose to take care of this privately by PM rather than publicly. Obviously Havoc couldn't do that and just had to post his final 2 cents instead of leaving quietly like we kindly asked. The reasons for our decision are clearly posted above in that "private" PM. There are other things that went on "behind-the-scenes" that we were NOT going to bring up but since Havoc couldn't peacefully comply with our request and instead made it a public debacle, then we will be releasing details via next Monday's podcast. As creators of UF, we've had to endure countless situations like this and we've never made a big stink about it but for once we're going to let our hair down so to speak. I mean you can only hold in a fart for so long before you have to release it, right?

Listen...what is the MATTER with you? You're coming here....now as a HOST CLAN of another tournament, and you're basically coming in saying that Urgent Fury is SCARED of you, your leader and your tournament. Unfortunately, we also have a few blind followers within the community here that feel the same. That we censor. That we hide things. That we delete peoples heart-felt thoughts or something. And we're wondering where the twisted mentality is coming from? There is a STARK comparison here to be made that perhaps some here are not making. There is NO Sniper or Undertow on the Chaos Tactics forum making posts...or even REGISTERED. There are NO Ravenfall or UF Staff members on that Chaos Tactics forum writing stupid, immature comments like "I love the smell of fear" or "if we apply to a TACMAP tourney, anyone want to take bets whether we'll make it or not?" Please read again: NO ONE affiliated with UF or Ravenfall is on that forum posting pro-UF/ anti-CT comments. But what do we have here on the UF forum? Exactly that. It truly shows the maturity level of this clan with its newfound glory of being a "host clan" of a tourney. They wanted it, they got it. UF did NOTHING to get in the way of that and we don't CARE about it. Everyone is free to do what they like....except on this forum, where it seems UF itself cannot do what they like. It's our home, but go figure. Right now, whether they admit it (unlikely) or not, they're having FUN coming on here and stirring the pot with their jabs and sometimes seemingly meaningless "I love it here but I'm being forced out" posts. We see through it. We've been here long enough to see the snakes and to see the fans of Urgent Fury. It's not rocket science. Plenty of people here think they can post with hidden venom and people won't see it. Problem with that logic is, they post with venom with the purpose TO be seen, and then they come back with "hey man, you read too much into that but way to go hysterical." That's the equivalent of beating around the bush trying to ask a girl out, and when she asks if that's what you're doing, you say "oh hell no, sorry. You thought I was asking you out? No, no. You read that all wrong." Easy way out. Urgent Fury is not "afraid" of anything, so get over yourselves. We're here making tourneys for a public. We don't OWN them, we don't INFLUENCE them. We're just HERE. We make tourneys and you're FREE to come and play them and, yes, you're free to leave. But if you're going to leave, then LEAVE and do so quietly. Everyone involved here LOVED talking about the "winning with honor and losing with dignity" when it served their purpose in trying to get INTO tourneys here and staying here in the community. But where is your integrity, honor and dignity now? When something doesn't go someone's way, then the honor and dignity get thrown out the window. Convenient. All the while, Urgent Fury must do what is expected of it.....to continue to cater to the egos. There are two types of people here in this community. Those who like what UF does and support it. They should stay and have a good time. And those who don't like UF for various reasons and take their little childish jabs when they can. They should go, find something else suitable to them, and have a good time. If that was done, then in the end, EVERYONE would be happy. The main thing that seems to fly above a lot of heads here is that we have noisy, troublesome posters here creating friction because they feel like it. The CT forums do not have that going on because Urgent Fury is NOT over there doing the same thing. We have professional courtesy and politeness enough NOT to do that. We're not being afforded the same respect and courtesy. Call it whining, call it crying....call it what you like. What you SHOULD be calling it is a clear revelation of the clear DIFFERENCE in professional approach that Stormwatch and Urgent Fury handle things. If that is the type of tactics you like.....a "host clan" coming to another's forum and creating this friction and backhanded comments like "I love the smell of fear" and other nonsensicle "bets," then by all means round up your troops and head on over to the goodness of Chaos Tactics. If you like what you see here in Urgent Fury, where the creators DON'T need to go to other tourney forums and create stress, then stay here. I think the differences are clear. We've entertained Stormwatch here for many years and as they make their exit here to embrace a new chapter in their clan lives, this is the going away present we get. Every tourney they entered, free. Every tourney they wanted in on, with the exception of one, they got into. Every bit of advice Havoc needed in starting his new clan and becoming a clan leader, Undertow gave to him over the phone. Undertow even had to get an unexpected phone call from Havoc last night asking him about everything and Tow GAVE him advice on running his own tourney. Tow is a tough love guy and gave that advice to him...and Havoc got his feelings hurt thinking Tow was telling him to go to hell or something. Havoc, running a tourney is TOUGH business and welcome to it. Tow was helping you, and you already show you have some thin skin. Hopefully that fixes itself as you go through the tribulations of running a tourney.....and now, seeing some of the bullshit from people that goes along with running a tourney. Urgent Fury is NOT on the CT boards creating drama and trouble. We're just here, in our own home, doing what we do best. Why don't you take a cue and try to do the same thing. BE respectful and courteous. If you're able to. You're starting a new tourney now so you have a LOT of work ahead of you. So we have NO idea what you're doing here. Urgent Fury's creators have ALWAYS had a lot of work to do here, so we're not on other forums. That much is evident and clear. But to some, that's still not enough here and they just HAVE to create the friction. Word to all of them, Stormwatch or otherwise...if you need to post your poison about this tourney, take yourself and your clan and find greener pastures. You NEED to, for your gaming pleasure and our own. Here at UF, we'd rather cater and use time on those who ENJOY their time here....not those idiots who don't like anything about UF but still, for some reason, can't bring themselves to be away from it. If we're such a bad tourney....if we really do reek of "fear," then leave and cleanse yourself of the bullshit. If you do, then we can finally do the same as well.

King Junk and Skipper have been banned from the forum for "subtly" trying to advertise another tournament on our forums. This is against our forum rules and I don't care how subtle or innocent it may be or even if it's a joke, NO ONE is allowed to advertise other tournaments on here. If you do, then you will be banned. Simple as that. If anyone wants to promote or advertise another tournament then do it on your own fucking forum. We here at UF have NEVER advertised or even TRIED to advertise UF on someone else's tournament site but it seems everyone else tries to do it here. I guess that's what happens when you have the most popular tournament site and everyone else just has to copy us and try to take away clans that were brought here by our own accord instead of putting in the sweat equity like we did and do it on their own. So I don't give a fuck WHO you are, you break the rules, you get banned.

Thanks for the well wishes guys. We made it just fine. The hurricane strengthened to a category 2 when it made landfall and downgraded to a 1 by the time it reached us but man the wind was strong. I didn't think it was that bad but when I went cruising around the neighborhood, EVERY house had fallen trees and branches and debris everywhere, it looked like a warzone. The worst part was no power for almost 2 days, sitting in the dark living room with a couple of candles doing nothing but reading a book all day. No TV, video games, internet, air con...enough to make you go insane...lol During that time I was thinking how it must've sucked living in the middle ages. No wonder they were warring and killing each other all the time. If they would've just had internet, they would've been too busy surfing for porn instead of killing each other and we would have world peace.

Tow used the Riot Act rules as the basis for the new tournament and applied them to Ronin so it's just a mistake. Thanks for catching that.

FUCKING A!!!!!!!!!!! We all knew about Crossroads but I didn't know about DG and FF. Those are my 3 favorite maps of all time!

Just a head's up for anyone that may have forgotten about this game coming out. This is going to be one hell of a game. A heard from a friend that Kojima (creator of MGS) may still continue the MGS series with yet another sequel but without Snake...... Anyone else hyped about this game?

When our admins ask people to stop, then it needs to stop. Everyone here including APC is a guest and we ask everyone to follow simple rules and while everyone is entitled to an opinion and considering that this IS an adult gaming site where you can occasionally drop an F-bomb here and there, when a UF staff admin of this forum asks you to stop posting, you stop posting. This is directed at EVERYONE that has posted in here. It's simple. UF gave permission to Dv8 News to record, iLL chose to drop, LPK was declared the winner and we MOVE ON. In the future it will be documented in advance that ALL matches will be subject to being videotaped so that there will be NO misunderstanding. This is not iLL's fault or UF and Dv8's fault. A decision was made and we stuck by it. Then everyone decides to give their 2 cents. Fine. But then it got out of hand and several of you posted a LITTLE more than 2 cents worth. As of now this issue is DEAD. DON'T POST ANYMORE, DON'T START A NEW POST ABOUT IT, DON'T PM ANYONE ON HERE ABOUT IT. If you want to continue this debacle, then do so on your own respective forums. That was a really good article and funny as hell. Some of those captions on the pictures cracked me up. Yeah, Boomer was a retard. They don't call him Boomer for no reason. Did he ever kill you guys by tossing a nade that bounced off the wall and back to where you were at? And you didn't have time to run out of the way, it was like "Oh shi.........." *BOOM!* I don't agree with not using better graphics though. Sure, a game with great graphics and shitty game play is going to suck versus a game with not-so-great graphics but good character animation and great gameplay. The case differs when you have a franchise like Socom or Call of Duty, you HAVE to keep getting better and better, not stagnating or reverting back. Socom and Socom 2 are perfect examples of a games that played great and had realistic character animations but not so hot graphics but it didn't matter because those games gave us 1000's of hours of enjoyment. HOWEVER, you CANNOT stay stuck in the same "mode" so to speak and expect to surpass everyone else. COD4 is the perfect example amongst military shooters. That game plays great AND has really nice looking graphics and it has set the bar way up for military shooters. Every other mil shooter that comes out after COD4 will be compared to COD4 to see if it's "as good" as COD4 or better and graphics WILL play a huge part in that. And that includes fan favorites like Socom. If anyone remembers the early screens for Confrontation, the graphics looked "okay" at best but no where near the level of COD4 and this was BEFORE COD4 came out. Confrontation should've been released last year sometime but then COD4 came out and blew everyone away and I KNOW that it had something to do with Confrontation being delayed so they could revamp the graphics. Now we see the new videos and screenshots of Confrontation and they look really, really good. I wasn't really excited about Confrontation when I first saw the early videos and screens especially after playing COD4 but NOW I'm excited and that is mainly due in part to the revamped graphics and extra effort being put forth by the team at Slant 6.

Price slides over the pistol which your character uses to kill the final bad guys. A paramedic is seen giving Captain Price chest compressions. If you mouse over him in-game, there is no name possibly indicating he may not have survived... Read the Riot Act story to find out if he lived or died! Standings - The Standings page is now on the same page as the tacmap for quick reference to see who is on top. The Standings page will identify the leaders (based on number of territories owned) and those who are in a "critical" state )those owning 2 territories or less), and those that have been eliminated. Help - New Help section for those new to the tacmap tournaments. Get up to speed quick because once you're in, you're going to hit the ground running hard with bullets flying past your head and if you're not prepared some of these veterans are going to roll right over you. Contact - New contact section specifically for any errors found on the tacmap or standings page. In the past errors found would be PMed or posted somewhere on the forum and not seen in time or sent to the wrong person, now you will be able to contact the tacmap updater directly to avoid delays and confusion.
