Well I can't argue that I wish that /6 handled the patches in a more comprehensive and responsible manner. I don't think there should be any excuses for releasing a broken patch or patches that break other things in the game. I mean hell don't they have a test environment thats a replica the of the live environment to test and deploy these on before they release it? I would hope so, but one would also wonder how these problems slip through the cracks. I would say at best the /6 is understaffed.

I'll agree with that, I would never put a FPS respawn in the same category as socom. Of my 98 or so friends I probably had around 20 people playing the game when it first came out, now I never see anyone playing it. Not that it matters or thats a direct reflection of the nightly numbers but it seems the hype is quickly wearing off, not just around here either. I complain about slant six's handling of certain aspects but I still play socom almost every night. Hopefully the new patch will be the best yet and hopefully more good things will come.

I thought we were just trying to help troubleshoot for a forum member ??? By the way I couldn't find anything else on socom.com Just a couple of posts from people with your same problem but there was never solution at the end of any of the discussions

LPK has never been anything but nice to me and any clan I have been a part of. If I can think of any thing else or find something on Socom.com I will post. By the way I stole that one from Tool And like I said before I would almost guarantee when all is said and done that this will be fixed in 1.5, and I'm also sure /6 created this problem somehow behind the scenes in preparation for the new patch, something screwy like this happens every time it seems like before they release something, when that comes is the question you guys have to deal with and I empathize with your situation.

From TOOL I had this happen as well.....what you have to do is delete all your PSN messages (except the saved ones) and then go to In-game Notifications and turn it 'off'. Reboot your PS3, let it log in, then go and turn in-game notifications to 'On'. You will get the 20 messages you were missing. :-X It happens to me all the time. This is from Ghosts thread, Chaka have you tried this. Not your in game socom messages but the PSN messages.

Good to know they have their priorities in line :-X What a joke. I mean I could careless about FTB, granted I have never played it and don't own a PSP but this is ridiculous IMO, fix the damn game we all paid for. Patch 1.5 sounds promising but obviously they have like 2 people working on it no wonder the patches are failures each time they release them. I love Socom but man this getting frustrating.

If your familiar with computers and repairs its not hard at all, where you would find a used one I'm not sure about. Maybe ebay or some online parts store. I think you can get a refurbished one from Dell, you may give them a call and tell them what happened and they could at least check the price for you. If I remember correctly, its just a couple of screws that need to be removed and you should just be able to unplug the old one and remove it. Plug the new one in, replace a couple screws and you should be good to go. Not sure on the prices either but I would think it would't be too bad, not as much as a new laptop if you like the one you have.

I have heard great things about Jawbone, my buddy has one and said it's the clearest one he has ever owned, but expensive. I have had good experience with Jabra BT's and I use the Sony one for Socom, my Jabra may be better though. Before I had the Sony one I used my Jabra for my cell phone and PS3 without any issues.

You didn't you danced around it. You said you think current UF clans need to be evaluated. Thats what I commented about and if you don't intend on using names why say anything at all? I'm a part of the Eval team and I think the process works great. By the way the clans that play here already "prove" themselves in the tournaments they play in. If there's a problem they are removed. I think your comment was off the mark, and thats my opinion. Everyone can read what you wrote, its right ther.

it was implied though All I was trying to say was if your going to dance around the subject why say anything. Or if you have a problem with a clan why not say something to them instead of implying it in a general forum for everyone to read. Seems like poor taste to me, just my opinion not that it matters. :-\

Apparently there was an issue this morning. Abigale has posted on the PS board saying that it is now resolved and everyone should be able to download the patch now

True that.. which is why clans must be screened! Down with hell week, up with "Bi-annual evaluation tournament from Hell" I agree there should be evaluations on clans already in UF. Seriously? Not that you would answer with clans that you think need to be evaluated but I think we have the best community around. Also I believe the forum rules prohibit open blasting of UF clans.

I have heard of this before. In that case though someone was chatting with the person that hacked them and revealed personal information to the "hacker" and allowed the person to guess his secret question allowing him to change email login and password for the account. I doubt this was the case with you but it is rather chilling.
