  1. At least XBOX is not getting it any earlier than the PS Plus subscribers. Everyone gets access on the 19th. What I'm waiting to see is when it comes to DLC. With both XBOX pre-orders and PS Plus getting it the same day, I don't think it's a clear case on favoritism... yet. I don't believe Activision has anything to do with GRFS. Isn't Ubisoft the publisher and developer?
  2. Did you get any info about the pre-order bonuses for the PS3? I didn't.
  3. Not just Hog, I'm sure my name was mentioned.
  4. Great find. This game does look the most promising in months. I'm not a fan of the cloaking system, but hopefully that can be disabled. Also, I would have liked to have heard larger matches. 6v6 is fine, but 12v12 or 16v16 would have been better. But I would imagine that is something that could be fixed with an update. If not, not a huge issue. I pre-ordered mine already. Traded in SOCOM 4 for a whopping $4.50.

  6. I know, right? Man, I hope this game works out. We're drowning.
  7. Look at all the customization you can do with your gun!!
  8. Here is that entire picture of the lobby where clan tags are shown. Now this could be a public lobby. Which I hope, because the customization isn't very robust if you can only pick the map, game type, and time limit.
  9. That is somewhat accurate. Here are the beta details to get you in: http://ghost-recon.ubi.com/gr-portal/en-GB/ghost-recon-future-soldier/beta/index.aspx Joining the beta The beta is available to selected users only: Splinter Cell Conviction users who still own the game will get access through the game main menu on April 19th. Selected Uplay members who have linked their account with their Xbox Live or Playstation account will automatically receive an invite. Find out how to link your account here. People who have pre-ordered Ghost Recon Future Soldier at selected retailers will also receive VIP invites. Winners of the Facebook sweepstakes will also get early access to the beta. 10. OK, so it appears that this game will have clans and clan management. They are calling them "squads". This video confirms it starting at the 2:42 mark http://www.g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/post/722475/ghost-recon-network-lead-designer-interview/ So all we need are some sort of server function and robust private rooms and SOCOM can suck it.
  11. Ubisoft has revealed that the long-awaited beta test for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier will begin on April 19 and run through May 2; it'll be available on both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. And check this video out about Ghost Recon Netwrok. He mentions "manage your squads" at the 1:04 mark and then immediately after that it appears the names have clan tags in front of them.
  12. I hope they don't get rid of the "sidetone" feature. I actually like it. But from this response, I assume they working on a settings feature letting you be able to turn it off.

    Archer

    Loved it.
  14. That's the way I look at it. I think rank should be cosmetic only. Whether that's for guns, skins, badges, etc. Basically just bragging rights. What is Ghost Recon gonna be? That game is promoting complete weapon customization. And not just scopes and grips. The length of barrels and magazines capacity I believe. The article I read said you could either make a complete ridiculous inaccurate gun or a real killing beast. The customization is endless.
  15. Recently EA released DLC that gives the player to unlock everything on MP for BF3. The 10 shortcut items are available now from the PlayStation Store and the in-game store and include these: Kit Shortcut Bundle: Immediately unlocks all items unique to the four playable classes Vehicle Shortcut Bundle: Immediately unlocks all items for all vehicles The Ultimate Bundle: Immediately unlocks all items from all other available shortcut packs So PSX Extreme wrote up an article asking How Do Avid Battlefield 3 Players View The "Unlock All" DLC? And it is a very interesting article. But the comments are more interesting. Here is one example against the new DLC. And I see his point: But then an old-school SOCOM'er chimed in: I could see his point too. In fact, I kind of agree with the SOCOM guy more than the guy pissed about being killed by a level 2 player. And the main reason I feel this way is because of MAG. I picked up MAG about a year after release due to it being on sale. But as soon as I logged in, I realized I was pretty much target practice for the MAG veterans. It had nothing to do with skill at IMO. It had everything to do with these guys had better weapons than me. Not more skill. For example. In MAG you could buy extra health. And when I say buy, I mean credit earned for doing things via the game. So instead of starting at 100 points for health, you could start at 120 points. So essentially, even if I shot someone first, and I mean way ahead of them, they had the ability to take the damage until they had about 10 health points left and kill me. Or they had the ability to heal themselves before they died and I could not. It even gave a huge advantage when it comes to weapons also. Not just better scopes, but less sway, bigger clips, and fast fire rates. You could rank up EVERYTHING on MAG. So I was ready to give up on the game. It wasn't fun, and IMO, wasn't fair. I wasn't getting killed because people were better, it was because my weapons were complete garbage. But then Zipper had a 256% XP weekend. So I played every single day during the extra XP. After I was done, I didn't unlock everything, but I was able to make my gun a helluva lot better and got that extra 20 health points. And when I say gun, I was only able to rank up one gun outta about 20. But that one gun was able to bring me to a level playing field. Black Ops was the same way. I rented that game two weeks after release. But as soon as I was able to "buy" better attachments, I was was able to hold my ground at level 4, or something, against people at level 20 or higher. I had NO intention of purchasing BF3 because of what I was hearing from my other clan mates. Basically they were getting owned because their weapons were weak and garbage. And I don't have the time to play like some people do. Hell, I'm lucky to get on once a week. So how long would it take me to be on a level playing field? Or is it even possible playing one night a week? Nuketown Hooligans just brought this point up in their latest video. At first they were pissed. But then they mentioned the guy, like me, who has limited time to play and they kind of saw EA's point. Sure, they weren't crazy about it, but they accepted it. So with that all being said, is this new "Unlock ALL" DLC cheap and lazy? I'm kind of on the fence about it. But I'm leaning more that it is not. I think the SOCOM player hit the nail on the head. If you get killed by a level 2 player with the unlocks and your level 30, was it because of his weapon or because he was better?
  16. How is Netflix now? Mainly the instant DL'd. I was thinking about getting it again, but I curious about the price and selection.
  17. Does anyone here have Amazon instant video subscription?
  18. Oh nothing. I'm sorry, I am just being a baby. lol I just think the improvements are lacking I guess. I would have liked to see more. I mean, who cares about a caps lock. Their FB and Twitter apps are cool, but both completely lack picture uploading. Especially on a system that has two cameras. And the fact there isn't a flash player for the web browser is total garbage. That should have been in place since launch. The "after 10 minutes" is OK I guess. The Vita does shut down rather quickly. I'm sure they will add a ton more throughout the lifetime. Hell, look at what the PS3 does now compared to when it first launched. I'm just being impatient.
  19. This update is garbage.
  20. Wow, that message pretty much sums up where we are at. We are up shit's creek without a paddle.
  21. Confirmed. http://ps3.ign.com/articles/122/1221535p1.html RIP. But you brought this on yourselves.
  22. UF ahd about 16 clans sign up for SOCOM 4 when that first dropped. We all know how that ended. And I don't blame UF. We need a damn next gen game with the clan support and lobbies that Confrontation had. IMO, the only thing that was good about that game.
