There was a time...lol I was called "iron lungs" in high school cause I could snap any bong hit you could load up! LOL Ahhh... those were the days... :-[ Yeah, I don't do it anymore... but not cause I think there's anything wrong with you if you do. LMAO! I partied my ass off for far too long and now just chill. Sugar and sex are my last addictions. Sometimes I do both at the same time... but not while gaming.

You mean like when FauxNews reported Mark Foley as (D)... when he is a ®.... LOL, sorry I couldn't refuse.

As long as you stick to actual FACTS and not a bunch of dittohead, O'riely talking points and keep civil I go as far as you want. ;D – Obama was RIGHT about Iraq and Johnny is wrong. (and over 70% of this country wants us out like me) – Unless you are part of that 1% you have nothing to worry about as taxes go. Obama has never said he would raise middle income taxes. – Russia is not a problem but OUR government's policies ARE. Johnny doesn't get it. – The surge has proven nothing of a sucess like a lot of Republican would like to think. There's new reports that are coming out this next week they say Iraq is still weak as ever. – So does Obama... Like McCain is alone on this? LOL Everyone in America wants this. Obama doesn't want to make believe like Johnny does and pander to voters. – McCain does have a history in America... so does Obama. His judgement has proven to be much better then McCain's. Obama picked and actually vetted Biden, unlike McCain did with Palin... and picked someone very strong with experience abroad and someone he actually KNEW!!! LOL IN contrast to picking Palin who has less experience then any of the three, is under investigation, has already flipfloped on the bridge to nowhere... is proven to take earmarks worth millions and millions of dollars. Let me just say this Hog... I liked McCain. I am an independent and would have voted for him in 2000. But after watching what GW did to him in his campaign. Lie and cheat and mud sling that shit at McCain and then watch him hug Bush and play kissy face with him on stage and adopt almost every policy that Bush has destroyed our country with. I've come to the conclusion that he's not Mavrick. He's a kiss ass, do anything, say anything to become POTUS. I can't support him now. If ther repubs would have picked Huckabee... Ron Paul I'd porbably be voting republican this time. As far as what does Obama stand for? How is Obama purpose to "change things"... I will say to you what I said to Red... it's not my job to educate you. I don't do that. I don't try and change ppl's mind or sway ppl to one party or vote then the other. If you don't know, you aren't paying attention man. Read Johnny Mac's two books and read Obama's two books they have out there. Go to Obama's website and print out the pdf of his plan. Educate yourself man... the info is out there.

Please dear god don't encourage young ppl to watch FAUXNEWS!!! LMFAO! They are anything BUT fair and balanced. I find CNN to be the closest thing to unbiased. At least I know where you got your Michelle talking points from now. LOL Really young ppl should be reading and not watching any of these news stations. Go and blog. I blog on politico.com quite a bit and I think you learn a lot more doing activities like that then watching gate keepers on TV. Oh, and I keep wanting to post that I'm very pleased to see Obama winning here on the UF forums. I really didn't think that was going to be the case when I saw this poll go up. ;D
-
Well first of all, you're doing what almost every MSM does and taking her comment out of context to what she was saying. I understand what she means. America can be tough and even mean. That's just reality. I applaud her that she had the cajones to say it. I don't know even what you mean in the first part of your post about Palin getting more votes then Biden... LOL AND?? What was your point on that? I think both sides have their weak points and their families are not perfect. That's just life. Everyone is fair game to me. But that's just me. Also, They did talk about all issues that effect America... for the last 19 months they have. All last week at the DNC they did. Where have you been? LOL ;D
-
Player... I understand what you are saying and as a father of a 16 year old boy who is going to be 17 this Dec I empathize with Palin situation. But I'm not running to be second in command of the USA. I do think that what my kid does is a DIRECT proponent to how I raised my child. Yes, kids make bad decisions even if the parents are doing the right thing, but more times then not it still reflects on how they were raised. I would be very disappointed in my son if he got a girl pregnant. I've had many talks with him and have told him if he wants me to buy him rubbers I WILL! Up to now, things are good. But if he did screw up and got a girl pregnant, I think it would be on me as much as him. LOL Palin has the opposite approach and is a big proponent of abstinent which we all now see how good that works! I just think McCain was once again so sloppy in his vetting and picking of a running mate and shows that he is NOT ready to be POTUS. He is listening to too many ppl around him. This reeks of a Karl Rove move. LOL... but hey, will see how it plays out. I hope America will be smarter this time around.

why was there no victor declared in UF3? just asking... I'm relatively new here still. LOL

Obama has such class man. At at time when some would pounce on this thing, he has the class and posture to make this statement... Barack Obama had harsh words for reporters asking about Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin’s pregnant teenage daughter: Don’t go there. “I think people’s families are off limits and I think people’s children are especially off limits. This shouldn’t be part of our politics. It has no relevance to Gov. Palin’s performance as a governor or her potential performance as a vice president and so I would strongly urge people to back off these kinds of stories,†Although I don't agree with the statement totally and think is shows Palins lack of leadership that she can't raise her kids to do the right thing how can we expect her to lead our country potentially... I still respect Obama's stance on it. Class act.
-
O M G!!! haha, like I said... Sarah is going to be the gift that keeps on giving to the Dems. I'm absolutely blown away at this stuff being revealed about her. You couldn't write this stuff. LOL

This was really one of the worst piece of crap posts I've EVER read from someone purporting that they like to stay neutral. You're one of the WORST useless instigators in crisis-management situations here on this forum. If it's something that brings some shadow to UF, you're all over it. And please don't deny that or try twisting it into some stupid alternate truth. It would be an insult to you, me and everyone else on this forum. "Devil's advocate" to most means taking all sides in to make sure the right result is determined. It does not mean "be a naysayer at every single avenue possible just to piss someone off."

This just gets better and better. She's going to be the gift that keeps on giving!!! LMFAO! Can someone please point out who is running Johnny Macs campaign? LOL

Hello??? Can anyone hear me when I say I live in Alaska and that palin Just plain sucks as our govenor. She has only been at it for less than 2 years and has done nothing but try to move the capitol closer to her home town. She has no experience & couldn't lead a horse to water. Before McCain made his pick, seriously how many of you knew who Sarah Palin was?? Now I hear some repeating rightwing talking points, as if they know who this chick is...LoL...I almost feel sorry for the GoP, Almost... LOL, I hear you REVEREND. I agree. McCain didn't even know her till a week ago. LMFAO! 6 things the Palin pick says about McCain 1. He’s desperate. Let’s stop pretending this race is as close as national polling suggests. The truth is McCain is essentially tied or trailing in every swing state that matters — and too close for comfort in several states, such as Indiana and Montana, that the GOP usually wins pretty easily in presidential races. On top of that, voters seem very inclined to elect Democrats in general this election — and very sick of the Bush years. 2. He’s willing to gamble — bigtime. Let’s face it: This is not the pick of a self-confident candidate. It is the political equivalent of a trick play or, as some Democrats called it, a Hail Mary pass in football. McCain talks incessantly about experience, and then goes and selects a woman he hardly knows, who hardly knows foreign policy and who can hardly be seen as instantly ready for the presidency. 3. He’s worried about the political implications of his age. Like a driver overcorrecting out of a swerve, he chooses someone who is two years younger than the youthful Obama and 28 years younger than he is. (He turned 72 on Friday.) The father-daughter comparison was inevitable when they appeared next to each other. 4. He’s not worried about the actuarial implications of his age. He thinks he’s in fine fettle and Palin wouldn’t be performing the only constitutional duty of a vice president, which is standing by in case a president dies or becomes incapacitated. If he were really concerned about an inexperienced person sitting in the Oval Office, we would be writing about vice presidential nominee Mitt Romney or Tom Ridge or Condoleezza Rice. 5. He’s worried about his conservative base. If he had room to maneuver, there were lots of people McCain could have selected who would have represented a break from Washington politics as usual. Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman comes to mind (and it certainly came to McCain’s throughout the process). He had no such room. GOP stalwarts were furious over trial balloons about the possibility of choosing a supporter of abortion rights, including the possibility that he would reach out to his friend. 6. At the end of the day, McCain is still McCain. People may find him a refreshing maverick or an erratic egotist. In either event, he marches to his own beat. On the upside, his team did manage to play to the media’s love of drama, fanning speculation about his possible choices and maximizing coverage of the decision. On the potential downside, the drama was evidently entirely genuine. The fact that McCain only spoke with Palin about the vice presidency for the first time on Sunday, and that he was seriously considering Lieberman until days ago, suggests just how hectic and improvisational his process was.

Southwood, I'm not going to start a flaming war here but you should really step back and look at what your saying... from your opening statement basically putting everyone down who is not voting for the guy you like to your unsubstantiated charges that Obama has no experience. You have not done your research and are bringing nothing but Bill O'riely and Glen Beck talking points. You aren't looking at facts, but getting caught up in the emotion of politics. Paulin does NOT have more experience. LOL It's just silly to say that and is very telling of your experience in the political areana. Please do some more reading. Just trying to help you out. Oh, and for the record... over 38 MILLION... that's 38 MILLION watched Obama's speech. More then watched American Idol's finals and more then watched the Olympics.

If you could choose a Claasic Map to be Remade...
WARPIG replied to xRuthlessRebelx's topic in Playstation
I voted Mixer. One of the most interesting maps IMO and not played out so much either. Imagine having it as demo with the bomb being down below in the sewers at the start! That'd be off the hook IMO! LOL- 28 replies

Obama does have the experience IMO. He runs circles around McCain and Paulin both with Foreign policy. Running a township of 9000 for a few years and then being Governor of "Alaska" doesn't qualify her nor give her the experience necessary to govern our country, Period. Obama has 7 years experience in the ILL senate and 2 years in the US senate. He also has been a community organizer and has helped ppl his whole life. I'll take that any day over a 26 year senator that has done nothing note worthy in those 26 years except vote 90% the same in the past 8 with King George. At a time when we are at war, I don't want a half cocked solider wanting to go bomb everything in the middle east and turn it into a parking lot over there, nor do I want a "pretty girl" who just said to a reporter... what does a VP do? LOL She's pretty, but that's about it IMO.

If that were so, you would have pointed out what it was. LOL Two different forms of government there also. I'm not sure how you can compare the two? Just one question for you Red... are you telling me, you would feel safe and secure if something happen to McCain with HER at the helm? I know I wouldn't! She is a 2 year experienced governor of Alaska! Alaska!!! LOL Do they even have a metropolitan area to actually govern? Alright, I'm just messing with you... but man, with McCain being a day older then dirt I know I won't feel safe with her running the show. What do I have to point out? A governor is closer to a President then a Senator. And yes I would feel comfortable with her running the show, I can already tell she has the values I would want her to have. Who would YOU rather have, Joe Lieberman? LOL that would be a disaster. She has proven in Alaska that she won't put up with "politics as usual" she got rid of earmarks, and listened to what the people needed most. I want drilling within our borders along with offshore drilling. She is exactly what McCain needs for balance in his campaign. You my friend have no room to talk with Mr. Noexperiencewhatsoever! Oh and I could potentially see the next GOP representative for president, she has moxy and intelligence. If she weren't married I would go fox hunting. Sorry bud still don't want a socialist and his sidekick running the show. Haha! Touche' on Lieberman! He's a little worm. I think that was the worst pick for Gore in 2000, so you got me there. LOL Here's my thoughts... McCain said he was going to pick someone he knew... someone who knows him and someone who would have close to his experience. Those are things HE SAID... he was looking for. Palin and him only meet twice!!!! They don't know each other from Adam! LOL They literally have meet twice! I just don't see it. I think this is the hell mary pass trying to shake shit up. It might work. I think she will be tired quick with the American public. She's already flipfloped on an earmark issue with her acceptance speech. LOL The bridge to nowhere she said she was FOR, before she was AGAINST it. LOL Sound familiar? ;D Obama is not going to make us Socialist society. Those are just scare tactics.

I'm glad some brought up the assassination thing. It was bugging me when some where so flippit about mentioning it but I held off on saying anything. My 16 year old kid who I see on weekends said the same thing one weekend recently when we were talking about politics. It really surprised me. Where would he get such a notion? "If we vote for Obama... he'll just get assassinated"... this from a 16 year old. Does no one see how negative this thinking is? I believe words equal power and have energy in everything we say. You may not be FOR it, to happen... but what you are doing is giving it energy to keep carrying on. You see, I think when you keep saying things like that and it keeps carry on, it will arrive to some guy... maybe reading this very forums and he says to himself, "hmmm... everyone seems to think it's going to happen, why don't I help it along" It's not "just reality"... you guys are making it a reality when you keep talking about IMO. Any ways, just my thoughts. ;D

Interesting pick. Dan Quayle with a pony tail. LOL Seriously though, this is the first smart thing his campaign has done. Oh, and she is hot... thank god that's not a qualifying factor or I might be concerned for Obama. hehe

Well, I won't even respond to the issue of him knowing two dudes back in College that he hung out with. That's just silly to me. Obama has not been silent and has authored bills and amendments that effect no bid contracts. Obama with his Amendment to Stop No-Bid Contracts for Gulf Coast Recovery and Reconstruction, and also being very vocal about the no bid contracts over in Iraq I think constitute not being silent. JMO.
