Resident Evil: Director’s Cut PSone Available Today on PSN
BigMoneyNacku replied to Nemesis's topic in Playstation
I'll also probably be getting this. I love the RE series. Especially that first one. That write up is just fantastic. It summed up everything I've thought about games these days. Being too easy, no real rewards, everything. -
What the NYTimes Says May Be Damaging Children
BigMoneyNacku replied to [RVN] 6raVIty's topic in Playstation
I don't agree with the stores, Sid. The rest are spot on. I'm on the phone in stores all the time. The wife sends me to get something, I get there and they don't have it. A quick call later and I whatever substitue she wants. I'm on the phone alot in Home Depot too. I go up there to price check, call the secretary and she writes down everything I'm saying. I guess it depends on if you are using it for a purpose or just blabbing about the cow you took home last night. ;D Tool, I couldn't agree more. Most teenagers don't have the ability to curb their urges. People around here wonder why ranch kids are so well behaved. They think it's because they have responsibilities at a young age. WHile I'm sure that has some merit, I personally think it's because they aren't around other people's kids. -
Could you play SOCOM if it was like this movie?
BigMoneyNacku replied to IRISH BULL's topic in Playstation
Fuck that!! I could play a game that kills a few death row inmates. Fuck em!!! -
That is some funny shit. Malu's post and that bloodninja clown. THe pirate shit had me rolling. The WoW cyber was funny too.

Come on by for some high times. ;D ;D

Yeah, I saw Socom hitting 100,000 a few times. The most I've ever seen was Halo right after 2 and 3 came out. I think they hit the million mark a time or two. Chili you can't count COD on the Box. Way more box owners than ps3, of course there will be better numbers. Well and the better online functionality.

That means alot Polaris. Thanks. Shadow, come by the Trauma Ward Saturday night. It'll be up at the usual time, now that we can't be attacked. ;D

I'm down DUB. Hit me up. I'm sure we'll be submitting for Black, but we will want to stay fresh on large maps. Thanks for the good vibes fellas.

I'm saying that I can't just jump into a ranked game without playing respawn. Yeah I know I can play S&D, but that gets old. I don't even like the demo only rooms in Socom. Playing the same people all the time in private rooms gets old too. I love the guys in my clan and most of the guys in UF, but it still gets stale after awhile. Maybe if COD had a briefing room set-up like Socom, it would help. Believe me respawn isn't my only reason for dis-liking COD. I played the game for months because my clan was. I gave it a chance, and towards the end I couldn't stand it. If I have to make compromises to play a game, why not play the one I like more and am comfortable with? Like NEO said, I've been making compromises since Socom 1, so I'm cool with that. I don't want to jump ship to a game that also requires me to make compromises.

Our Chain Reaction run came to an end last night. We had a great time. Look forward to jumping back in Black and waiting for the next tac-map. I'd like to say thank you to the UF Staff for running another fine tournament. I'd also like to thank all of our opponents for making UF what it is. To everyone left, give em hell!!

Yet again, Goat comes through with the best post on a thread. :D

I guess it's good to know you think I'm a moron Chili. :-\ While you can argue till you're blue in the face about HC S&D, it doesn't change the fact that COD IS built around Respawn. I can't just log into servers and play fun games unless I got, 1) enough clan members on or 2) enough friends that aren't already doing thier own thing. So the guy jumping on at an odd time(like a sick day) is fucked if they want to play.

Nice run RVN. It was fun playing against you fellas and lady again. We'll see you the next go round.

I know I plan on tuning in on Friday nights to watch. I might even go down to Denver and catch a live game or two. I can't wait for bra's to get broken or panties pulled down trying to make a tackle. ;D

I didn't read every post either, and Churchy slapped Malu already for his statement. ;D I still feel Socom is socom because it's still the only game on the market that keeps me coming back for more. I love the slower and more tactical pace. Playing COD and all those games never gave me that rush. All you old schoolers know what I'm talking about. That I think I'm having a heart attack feeling in a long evenly matched war. The camping argument is completely redundant. We've played every clan UF has to offer now(except some of the recent Hell Week applicants), and none of them "camp". They all hold back the first round to gauge what thier opponent is doing and adjust accorrdingly. It's called strategy. I still haven't found a game that relies on having a good strategy as much as socom. There was that one TC game that was 2 v 2 online, but it died out. That was the closest game to Socom I've encountered. For me it boils down to teamwork. ANY other shooter out there, maps can be won by 1 guy. GOW, KZ, COD, RB6, all of them, I've watched one great RNG shooter dominate the entire map and win it for thier team. That just doesn't happen on Socom. One guy might win a round against huge odds, but no way do they do it for the whole map. In Socom, you are only as good as your team, period. Until someone makes a game that re-creates that atmosphere, Socom will be my game of choice.

Not a RR ;D ;D What say you?

From a business standpoint, that is the ONLY way to handle things of this nature. Of course there are workarounds business's can use, but on a worldwide scale like sony, I wouldn't touch it either. In my industry, a large percentage of "warranty" claims are improper installation. You ALWAYS check plump, level, square first on a warranty or repair job. Let's I show up to a homeowners house to look at windows that don't operate properly. If I just started tinkering without checking, I now own it. No matter what I do to fix it(assuming I still didn't know it was out of square), it will never work right. Then the HO says, well it worked better before I came. Now they want me to fix it for free, and get pissy about it. I can't blame HO's for that, I would want the same thing in my brand new house, and not some patch job. Now I have to keep fixing it every time it happens within the 1yr warranty on labor we do. Or do a full re-install at cost to me. If I check first, I can let them know immediately, it not a warranty problem and check with who installed it. Let them know I can fix it, but to do it properly I have to rip out the window and try to re-install it, assuming it comes out in one piece. Or I can scab it together for them with no warranty on my labor, and it usually voids the manufacturer's warranty. Now if it's one of my Pro customers who installed it, it gets a whole lot stickier.
