1. Story by Adam Rosenberg @ G4TV.com. EA Sports announced the launch of Season Ticket, a new subscription service that offers well-rounded sports-loving gamers a range of benefits, in a press release this morning. For a yearly rate of $24.99 / 2000 MS Points, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 users get early access to releases in the NFL, NHL, FIFA, Tiger Woods and NCAA Football franchises, as well as discounts and specialized web content. The early game access advantage is the main draw here, but there’s a pretty significant catch that you should be aware of. Starting three days before a game’s release, players will be able to download a digital version onto their console of choice. Here’s the thing though: That download expires after the three days are up and the game arrives in retail locations. I’m sure none of us were really expecting EA to give away five full yearly releases plus the other bonuses for less than $30 per year. The digital download expiration is simply an unexpected way of ensuring a fair deal for both sides, especially with any unlocked content (Achievements/Trophies, game saves, etc.) carries over into the retail version of the game, should you purchase it. If you run out once a year to buy Madden NFL and nothing more, this might not be the program for you. Sports fans with more varied tastes will want to consider it though. Members also get a 20 percent discount on all downloadable content released for participating EA Sports titles as well as access to premium web content. The first items to be offered are Creation Center packs for FIFA Soccer 12 which “provide a deeper set of customization tools and abilities within Creation Center to build your own teams and tournaments.” Finally, all members receive a membership badge, both a physical version and an EASPORTS.com profile-connected digital version. Sadly, no decoder ring to go along with it. Score: 0 (0 votes cast) More...
2. Nothing says summer (sunburn, too much chlorine, overpriced bad theme park food, etc…) like a good ol’ local water park! Do the ModNation a summertime favor and build us that themed waterpark of our (and your) dreams. A Renaissance waterpark? How about a Western waterpark? An Outer Space waterpark?… the themes are pretty endless. Make us some cool (pun intended) waterpark tracks using the new DLC and they just might end up in Hot Lap or Top Tracks! DETAILS HERE. More...
3. Formally announced at PlayStation’s E3 2011 press conference, the upcoming PlayStation Move Pack for LittleBigPlanet 2 will greatly expand the game’s already prodigious creation suite and add countless new gameplay variants. Based on my hands-on time, PlayStation Move support radically evolves the gameplay possibilities of LittleBigPlanet 2, whether it’s flinging and manipulating objects using the new Brain Crane power-up, creating outlandish Move-focused minigames from scratch, or animating characters and props by recording your PlayStation Move gestures. “It’s the biggest update we’ve ever done,†Media Molecule’s Level Design Lead Kengo Kurimoto told me during a guided tour of the update last week in New York City. 4. Might just be a title issue "UF Clan Leader" or something...or maybe just because you hate me...but I do have access to the Suggestions Box area of the forum. I think this may have happened through the creation of the new forum, maybe? Just letting ya know. (Haven't gone through ALL of the other sections yet, though this one seems to be the only issue at-a-glance)
5. Stay tuned in the next 2-3 weeks as UF will be announcing just-added prizes for the ultimate victors of UF: Riot Act. We had this in mind all through the creation process but decided not to say anything before or during sign-ups. Don't be expecting solid gold bars or anything but rest assured, the prize(s) being offered will be something NO one except the winners of Riot Act will ever have.
6. Looks pretty cool http://akayuki.com/2008/04/22/metal-gear-online-character-creatio n/
