Xx-CHURCHY-xX Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 Has officially opted out of his contract with the yanks. He would've earned 81 million over the next 3 years and was offered an extension around 5 years, 30 mill/year. With Scott Boras as his agent, I say it's money hungry. Quote
TOW-19 Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 When ANY "agent" is concerned, it's always money. Quote
o-BacklasH-o Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 I don't think he likes New York all too much and he is going to find a place to finish out his career. Reports have the Cubs and Angels as front runners and Boston is also included in the rumors if they don't bring back Lowell. Quote
Chili327 Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 Doooood.. Angels or Red Sox would be sweet.! (maybe Johnny D wants to come home too.. lol) Quote
DK_MaluNYMets Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 I think any one of us would have done the samething... come on do we ever decline raises in real life?.. lol.... More power to him... Yankees are gonna win 120 games next season cuz hes not there LOL.. he leaves and teams become good Quote
SEQUOYAH Posted October 29, 2007 Report Staff Posted October 29, 2007 The tribe would love to have him too!! ;D Quote

[RIP]saint52 Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 I know we would take him but shit I dont know if we should....too much b.s. with him...but hey....were sittin pretty now Quote
Fear_Wade Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 I really don't want him, it becomes the A-rod show, not his fault really, it just happens that way Quote
Xx-CHURCHY-xX Posted October 29, 2007 Author Report Posted October 29, 2007 It's sad to think that A-Rod is going to be the only of the greatest players ever to never have a team put next to his name. So far he's had an awesome career but he's never had that one team presence where you can put his name next to that team. Quote
Guest [+30]PuddyTat Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 maybe they can find a way to get rid of jeter to and really go down the toilet...oh yeah, and give the rocket 1.6 gazillion dollars for another shitty year!!! Quote
