Over the shoulder is the new next-gen thing. Gears of War, GRAW/GRAW2 and RE4 are all amazing games that are over the shoulder. I personally think its better than straight up third person. Theres just something about over the shoulder that tickles my fancy.

Yea seems like it almost took the GOW view of the character which means you only see two the Right more than the left of your periferal vision

I think they do the over the shoulder to give it more of a 3D effect.

There is alot of people complaining about it on the playstation forums i would suggest going on there and saying something that way they change it but i'm thinking that it might just be an option....we will have to see.

I thought I read somewhere that it was an additional view option. Maybe I'm wrong, but I was sure 3rd person would still be there. ???

It would be kinda a dumb move on their part to just switch from 3rd person to over the shoulder

I do believe, but maybe I am just a knowledgeless imp...that doing this would be using the UE3 engine. Although they are supposed to be making all the software from scratch, I would understand them using UE3 and rewriting a majority of the code, or...maybe they just want to be like 360?

Actually, Zipper is still overseeing the production of Confrontation, but Slant Six is doing all the work for it. Zipper is producing Socom 4 on their own though.

They just look like screen captures of the video that was relased a few days ago. It's kinda hard to catch some of these because they are split second, but they are there in the video.
