Anyway...the lag isn't really that bad and the hit detection works fine best I can tell.....

 

What I enjoy most is playing with my clan mates and using team work and tactics with effective communication to win games.

FYI, i would've added this to the other thread, but it is locked, & a good guy is banned for something that i feel the punishment is WAY overboard.. i think a simple/small apology would be sufficient. (was his post edited, did he even say anything offensive..?)

 

All he had to do was use a different computer & no one would have known who he was.

I do agree the punishment it didnt seem fair for Cp. I personally thought it was hilarious. Anybody remember when Frisco had someone smoking him? He went right along with it, handled it like a champ.

You guys have to know that Confrontation will eventually become just like Socom CA and COD4. A glitching lag fest. If it never becomes so, then we'd never move on to the next game. If we dont move on to the next game software companies loose money.

 

So in the end every complaint we have will again be echoed within 8-10 months of Confrontations release.

I just played Socom last night, because of this thread, and saw an ass load of lag. Not to mention the mass boot that happened.

Listen, its all about what you're comfortable. Some people just can't be successful in a switch in game types...myself, I was pretty good at socom, I'm pretty good at COD4...but I suck major balls at Warhawk. For anyone that doubts that I can be bad at anything, go check the SHO forums and see my little warhawk stats sig for my stats. I know, I know..its hard to believe.

But I digress. Some people can't adjust to the fast paced COD4 style and so go home to the socom they know, and deal with the shitty graphics and the connectivity issues, the laggers, the quicksnipers, and various other things that ruined the game. Others made the switch because of the comforts that the new gen system afforded..better graphics, better gameplay, somewhat consistent updates...and they are doing just fine.

Do I think COD is the be all end all? No, not by a long shot. The open mics suck and I'd use the lobby system as my toilet if I could. BUT...it is a better experience. So that leads me to believe that SOCOM for the next gen, if they keep faithful to their lobby system and push to talk mics...will be even better. Maybe not graphically, what I've seen so far is sub-COD, but it will allow the people who couldn't play COD the chance to upgrade to next gen playing and reunite with old friends....again, under a great lobby system (we hope)

Mass Boots? I experience more mass boots on COD. I also consider someone ending their game(host ending game) a mass boot, cuz what happens? we need to get all our guys in a party before we play again.

 

I consider myself pretty good at COD as well, but its not teamwork oriented and I hate that, hard to talk about strats on an open mic. There is no more quick sniping in socom either.

 

Remember wen we could make our rooms w/ no grenade launchers? I do, and i still love it.

well the nade launchers don't bother me as much on COD as much as they did on socom, they're not as noobish. Or maybe I just don't get killed by them as much. I still make fun of people for using it.

 

As far as mass boots, the time needed to recover from a mass boot is a lot faster, as I get booted all the way out in socom and have to deal with the hassle of the slow sign in process.

 

Teamwork...there IS teamwork in COD lol Granted, I DO believe there is more in socom...but not by an overly large margin. And mainly the reason for that is lack of respawn. You put COD on Search and Destroy, or limit the lives, and you negate that difference easily.

You have to list the bad and the good, and the old socom feels like I have to force myself to enjoy it.

I should of clarified on the mass boot.

 

Last night there was a mass boot that caused multiple rooms to be shut down at the same time.

 

And dont get me wrong there are plenty of things that I could complain about when it comes to COD4.

 

I agree with Chili though, playing COD4 in private matches is an absolute blast. We've had a couple of Black Ops Parties that were started in private matches. You can set up some crazy matches. And I've yet to be bounced out of a private match.

 

As I stated before too, these will be the same complaints we have about Confrontation a few months after it comes out. So we'll just need to learn to role with it and vent when we get the chance. Nothing will change. IMO.

It's funny...i play SOCOM CA at least 3 nights a week and almost always more and haven't seen a mass boot in months. You log on last night because of this thread and experience a mass boot...too good.

 

Bottom line
