I used to dislike all of the equestrian stuff as well, but my girlfriend of two years owns a couple horses and competes in shows so I got into it a bit. Some of the events are actually quite exciting to watch. (ie. Jump offs) EVEN dressage can be entertaining if you have the best in the world doing it. Quote

[/quote']Phelps came in third in his heat so he moves on to the next round. However, USA pulled off a HUGE upset and won the Mens 4x100 Freestyle Relay. It was sick, France led the entire relay until the last lap and Jason Lezak came out of nowhere and won. World Record and gold for the Americans! We're expected to win all the other relays and Phelps is expected to win his individuals so as of now.. we're dominating the swimming! Quote

SHANE23 Posted August 13, 2008 Report Posted August 13, 2008 I have been watching some here and there. Last night I watched the US Women's Team Gymnastics with the wife and (excuse my French) but there is NO FUCKING WAY some of the Chinese women are 15 or 16!!! The rules have been changed to where you must be 16 within the year the Olympics are held and two of those girls looked MAYBE 10!! Even the old Romanian coach said there is no way! Quote

I liked Bela Carosi(sp?) flat out saying THERE IS NO WAY the Chinese meet the age limit. What's cool is he's for letting younger competitors participate, He's more about the Honor in following the rules, And the rules say 16. There ain't NO WAY at least 2 of those girls are even having a period yet!! Quote
WARPIG Posted August 13, 2008 Report Posted August 13, 2008 What I think is ridiculous is how we are sounding like a bunch of sore losers cause we couldn't take the gold in Gymnastics. What ever happen to losing with dignity? Instead of this girl saying, "I lost my concentration and it's my fault"... she's trying to blame the chinese! Pretty silly, don't you think? It reminds me of someone crying about "lag" in Socom. Hahaa!!!! http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp-elliott13-2008aug13,1,5301448.column On a good note... the USA has done pretty good in other events and it's been fun to watch. Phelps is a freakin fish! We are not the only ones questioning their ages. There is even history of these 3 reporting their true ages which would be 14 now. I still don't believe 2 of them are older then 12. We have had SEVERAL medals stripped for doping, why are we so HEAVILY investigated and not other counties? I wouldn't be surprised if other countries are questioning Phelps, would you? Quote

Yeah, Piggy, everyone is talking about the age of the Chinese girls man. I don't think it's just those getting beat by them, they really look like they are 10 and 11 years old. Quote
WARPIG Posted August 13, 2008 Report Posted August 13, 2008 [cBF] SHANE23 well sure... and being that we had a woman caught for doping and dropped from the woman's swimming... yes, I'm sure other countries ARE questioning it. and.. I'm not talking about ages, I'm talking about the silly statement that the girl made blaming the chinese for her inability to get the gold. LOL ;D Quote
