Xx-CHURCHY-xX Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 This is the star match-up of the playoffs. I wanted to see this match up in the NLCS.. would've meant more. I'm pulling for Torre and Manny. Quote
GeneralWar Posted October 1, 2008 Author Report Posted October 1, 2008 yeah, I wanted 2 see this in NLCS also, I'm going for Cubbies. Quote
Prane Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 Cubbies are taking this no doubt. Better pitching and overall better hitting. Quote
GeneralWar Posted October 1, 2008 Author Report Posted October 1, 2008 Dempster's been dominant at home wit 14 wins, 3 on road Quote
Prane Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 Game time!!!!! I'm expecting a BLOWOUT tonight!!!!! Cubs 29 Dodgers 1 Quote
GeneralWar Posted October 1, 2008 Author Report Posted October 1, 2008 that's ridiculous but Dempster's throwing a lot of pitches already, he needs to settle in Quote
Prane Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 that's ridiculous but Dempster's throwing a lot of pitches already, he needs to settle in I'm not really expecting 29 runs dude its the playoffs. Pitching owns the playoffs. Quote
GeneralWar Posted October 1, 2008 Author Report Posted October 1, 2008 yeah, I know that, low scores usually Quote
GeneralWar Posted October 1, 2008 Author Report Posted October 1, 2008 damn Dempster threw 30+ pitches in that inning, luckily no runs scored Quote
Prane Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 Thank god Either choked. He needs to settle down. He's pitching like its his first playoff start. Quote
GeneralWar Posted October 1, 2008 Author Report Posted October 1, 2008 he'll be done by 5th or 6th cause he's not settling down, 4 walks already Quote

GeneralWar Posted October 2, 2008 Author Report Posted October 2, 2008 Dempster did suck, 2 many walks and over a 100 pitches Quote
GeneralWar Posted October 2, 2008 Author Report Posted October 2, 2008 Maddux closes game & Dodgers win 7-2 Quote
simihi Posted October 2, 2008 Report Posted October 2, 2008 I told you all our team ERA was better, Dodgers bullpen ? Cubs bullpen. Don't know why but when I use the greater than sign it turned into a question mark? Quote
aras_nightmare Posted October 2, 2008 Report Posted October 2, 2008 if the manny led dodgers win tomorrow this series will be over in LA. Quote
o-BacklasH-o Posted October 2, 2008 Report Posted October 2, 2008 Big Z is going to come through big time tomorrow. The Cubs offense looked horrible against Lowe and Dempster was trying to strike everyone out instead of trusting his defense (Granted the outside corner wasn't being called a strike all night, but still). The turning point was the grand slam, then desperation set in and there were some ugly at bats. I heard a great comparison tonight. In early September the Cubbies fell into a similar situation against Cincy and made Bronson Arroyo look like a Cy Young candidate after being down a few runs. Quote
simihi Posted October 3, 2008 Report Posted October 3, 2008 Ready for game 2, Z will crack under the pressure he's a headcase. Manny will crush him, probably in the 1st. Quote
Neoblackhound Posted October 3, 2008 Report Posted October 3, 2008 Whats wrong with the Cubs right now don't they know how to catch a damn baseball ugg I at least expected them to get past the damn bastards in LA I guess 100 years of choking is still there I hope the Cubs wake up and get something together cuz they look pathetic. Quote
SHANE23 Posted October 3, 2008 Report Posted October 3, 2008 looks like the Cubs will be 100+ years. ;D Quote
