Account Verification - All NEWLY CREATED accounts are now automatically 'verified'. This means features that used to be restricted to 'verified' accounts are now available to everyone. This includes Friends lists, Clan creation, and Stats / Rankings, etc. So no more verifying with new accounts, much like Socom 2 now.

 

Inactive Accounts - If an account is inactive for a period of time, the player name for that account will not be displayed in game (stats, rankings, friendslists, etc). To 'remove' the inactive status, the player needs to log into the game via the Playstation 2.

Nope. When you create your new account, it is already verified, so no, you don't need a credit card.

Yes, map packs are still there, and you need a credit card to buy it. Verifying your account only means that you're 18 or older as Socom 3 was rated Mature. But now as you can see, Combined Assault is rated Teen.

I've been saying the patches are coming... Its great that the FTB2 patch has come out! S3 / CA patches and Map Pack 2 are up next....

 

Things are going well, from what I understand, the patch / map pack are slated to possibly enter Format QA on Monday. So, yes it is getting closer.
