Just thought I'd drop a line and say hi from the land of "fuck it's hot and humid". I'm halfway through the det, getting some good flying in, and sweating my balls off. Not much time to play games unfortunately, and when I do have time either I'm online by myself or the internet is too shitty to get online.

 

Can't say that I've taken a whole lot of cool pics. We mostly fly passengers, mail, and cargo to ships that are guarding oil platforms off the coast of Iraq. I know it doesn't sound too exciting, but it is a good time and we enjoy it. Anyway, here are a couple of pics I have taken since being out here.

 

This first one is just a det photo of the pilots and aircrew in front of one of our birds. I'm the one stroking my cheesy det stache.

Det is detachment. My squadron is permanently based out of Norfolk, but we have a detachment in Bahrain to fly people, mail, and supplies to the ships in the Arabian gulf.

 

Yeah, that's where I live. The apartment we have really isn't too bad, but that is the view from the balcony.
