Gran Turismo 5 Gets A Release Date... In Japan

The wait is finally over. Sony announced the Gran Turismo 5 release date during their Tokyo Game Show conference. Releasing next March, Gran Turismo 5 will surely be one of the biggest selling games for all of 2010. Featuring lots of new cars, lifelike graphics, and amazing racing physics, GT5 will quickly become regarded as the top racing simulation game of all-time.

 

The game will feature over 950 cars, 20 locations, and 70 tracks. A new Youtube feature will also be included along will a deep online mode including: open lobby, Text/Voice Chat, private room, online photo album, online replay album, and you can export replays to YouTube.

 

Gran Turismo 5 will officially release in March 2010.

NFS Shift is about the only racing game that I have wanted to get.

Dude the eilte dropped price so once I'm done paying off my semester of school I will be buying a 360. Getting forza, cod MW2 and whatever else I find. Anyone looking for a ps3 to give for christmas? I will give you a sweet deal on mine.

Forza may not look QUITE as good but at least you can play Forza.

 

And Lucky I'll sell it for $250. Cheaper than you'll find any others, I forget the size but i would guess 60 gig, and its backwards compatible unlike the newer generation models. I'll also sell a shit ton of games pretty cheap to. Let me know.

Good things come to those who wait. I have seen the graphics in GT5 prologue and I can verify they look that good. Also GT5 will have Nascar, and probably twice as many cars. It's all good though play the game that you like just remember that you are in a GT5 thread in the PS3 section. GT is dead to me. Prologue did nothing to bring me back over. I was a huge GT mark, until they dropped the ball with the last two installments. I love a good driving sim as much as the next guy. But when they make the game so the average person, who isn't a car person, can't compete, and then follow it up with NO online support, I can't back them anymore. Add in that GT5 isn't nearly as ground-breaking as they claim it was, other than graphics, and you got another GT game I will pass on. Plus you can't forget, it will still be played on Sony's garbage ass servers, so have fun with that.

We'll see how garbage Sony's servers are once MAG hits. I think the problem with "Sony's servers" is actually developers and their code. KZ2 ran pretty smooth, resistance ran pretty smooth, Uncharted ran pretty smooth, MAG beta runs pretty smooth for it's scale, Socom: Confrontation a disaster.
