  1. Played all the other Ace Combat games and for some reason this one just doesn't feel right. Maybe I need more time with the game.
  2. Great game. I am a huge fan of the Gran Turismo series. Currently I do not have a PS3 but when I get my new one I will look you up darth_cedaus and we can race some cars.
  3. These are the games on my system. Well...were on my system. PixelJunk Monsters PixelJunk Eden PixelJunk Shooter Flower Super StarDust HD Echochrome Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty ZUMA Go! Sudoku InFamous Dead Nation Tetris
  4. I think I am gonna pass on this next Call of Duty game. All that money they have made with the recent Call of Duty games and they can't even make major changes to the game's engine?? Cheap and Lazy....I think I will spend my money on a good FPS..........Battlefield 3.
  5. This issue only affects the "Sign-In" for the Playstation.com website, Playstation Blog and other Official Playstation related sites ( SOCOM.com, LittleBigPlanet WorkShop etc...). This issue will not affect a user signing onto the PSN with a his or her Playstation 3.
  6. Yeah...a few islands have reported that the PSN is back up. Jamaica, Trinidad, Barbados, Cayman Islands and a few others. It came back on where I live but it has gone back down.
  7. Still no PSN in paradise....guess it 'ent paradise afterall.
  8. The Caribbean will be the LAST to get it. No love for the Island gamers.
  9. I really enjoyed the single player Campaign. The end of the story kinda pissed me off though. And like every other shooter out there today....the campaign was a bit on the short side.
  10. I tried playing S4 with the PS Move during the beta. In general it felt awkward and didn't feel right. I much rather use a standard controller for shooters.
  11. Feel bad for Sony. They got a really big mess on their hands. Even the FBI has joined the party. http://www.gamespot.com/news/6310487.html?tag=latestheadlines%3Btitle%3B1
  12. Well I can't post from work but I still can post on the SOCOM.com forums from home. My settings at home are set to keep me signed in. I can also post on the Playstation forums from home and work.
  13. I can live with a new Playstation being released in 2014....but not any sooner than that. Just about to buy a Slim PS3 and I would be a bit annoyed if Sony was to announce a new console a year from now. I was always a fan of Nintendo...but they just don't have a line-up of games that would make me buy their console these days. And I have no intention of buying a console for one franchise....I love me some Mario Bros. but my pockets 'ent that fat.
  14. LOL Conspiracy Theory ALERT!!!!!!!!!! "On paper, this was Sony’s year. The hardware manufacturer has its best ever PS3 line-up by some margin, is finally about to snake past 360 on a global level, is gearing up for NGP’s launch in the autumn, and is now dominating Japan. Hirai’s ten-year tree-planting exercise is showing ripe fruit." Anonymous has already stated that this current attack is not because of them. So how might be the responsible party?? A smaller group of hackers trying to make a name for themselves?? Or could it be the evil doings of a much, much larger group....or company. A competitor maybe??? It is no secret that Microsoft is not doing as well as they thought they would. And despite a slow start and rock launch, the Playstation 3 has still managed to catch up to the XBOX 360 in sales and has shown the industry that the Playstation library of games is still one of the strongest in the industry. And getting stronger. Makes me wonder....how low will a company go to come out on top????
  15. Very interesting read. A lot more to this story. Thanks for posting this IRISH. Now here is my 2 cents......... I never got the reasoning and logic of Hackers and groups like Anonymous. YES....you have an opinion of what is right and wrong and want to fight for your ideals. Unfortunately, the ideals, ideas and personal views of good and bad are usually just opinions. You may share these opinions with a small or large group of people but this does not make your opinion right. And the actions or methods you or your group use to fight for your cause are not justified because your cause has a large following. So....are groups like Anonymous right? In my opinion....NO!!! Any person or group who's action affect innocent bystanders are inconsiderate and self righteous. Sony is no different from any large company. They want to make money and will do what they can to protect their interests. Hotz was a threat to those interests. He brought this crap onto himself and he only has himself to blame. Anonymous's actions towards Sony are simple.....they were simple acting out in defense of a fellow hacker. Not to rid the world of evil companies or to spread an ideal of unity and justice. Sony sued a hacker for an act they believed to be an illegal act and that pissed them off. As for the current state of the PSN.....a damn shame. Whoever is responsible must be really proud of themselves. I do hope Sony gets things sorted out and I hope they have learnt a few valuable lessons these past few months. The PSN is a major part of the Playstation 3 experience and is obviously weak. VERY weak. Time to step up your game Sony.
  16. This guy's Youtube channel has the single player campaign of SOCOM 4 from mission 1 to 14. http://www.youtube.com/user/RydarGames#p/u/8/0A1AF0fsEZ0
  17. And the Pretzel.....LMAO.
  18. My thoughts exactly....and this is very important.
  19. http://www.socom.com/en-us/Blog/Post?id=421 Similar to the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 VIP membership
  20. SWEET!!!! Can't wait to play ALL of them. So far Sacrifice looks interesting.
  21. I am sure a couple of the older game modes will make an appearance at some point in time. Breach would be fun on the two maps the Beta showcased. Maybe some of the older maps will come in a DLC pack also. I would love to see Crossroads rendered on the S4 engine.
  22. Hey CritiKiL....I see Clan Killas are still around. Looking forward to bumping into u guys on SOCOM 4.
  23. Here is something I posted on the SOCOM.com forums earlier in response to the many reviews and the general negative attitude towards SOCOM 4. It has gotten really ugly over at the SOCOM.com forums. I will probably get attacked for this but I am gonna say it...... SOCOM 4 was doomed for sometime now. Not because the game was shaping up to be a terrible video game but because of the community and the general mentality of gamers today. The SOCOM community is by far one of the most complacent communities(especially here at SOCOM.com) in the Playstation family. And although the community is filled with intelligent and mature gamers, the numbers of the other side of the spectrum are far greater. They are obsession with past games of the series and refuse to let go. "If it isn't like SOCOM 2, the game is crap." And this attitude has spread over the net like a wild fire. And now I have to wonder if this is not one of the reasons we are seeing some low scores in some of the early reviews of the game. It's a common curse today....pick an opinion instead of expressing your own. "I wanna fit in with the other SOCOM "VETs" so I will say the game stinks too". And maybe these reviewers want to gain favour too....give a sense of being intune with the gaming masses by regurgitating the same views of the gamers in their reviews. I am a fan of the series and will agree with many and say that many of the older features should have been kept. But the lack of past features or the addition of new ones doesn't make me think less of the game. I knew over a year ago that things in the world of SOCOM were going to be different. So I was ready for change....I was expecting it. And a lot of people knew these changes were coming. Today, too many gamers think they are developers and know the industry. And these days we see more insults, threats, and non-productive chatter during betas than we see constructive criticism. "I don't like this game so it's CRAP!!!!" So many gamers today will not admit a game is a good game but just not for them...they much rather shoot the game down, and not see the good in the game. All they see is the bad. And this is the problem SOCOM 4 is faced with today. A large majority of the SOCOM community are so focused on their disliked of the game that they can't see the good the game has to offer. Putting aside the name and franchise's history....they refuse to admit that the game is actually a really good 3rd person shooter and worth buying. I for one think Zipper has done a good job and hope they have listened to all the advice and suggestions from the community during the beta. With some changes SOCOM 4 can be even better than it is already. I really appreciate the invite to the beta and I am STILL looking forward to playing the full version of the game.
