Attention UF Community, The night many of you have been waiting for has finally arrived! Tonight, at 10pm CST (Wed), Urgent Fury will release the invites for the 16 clans invited to UF Black IV and The UF Crucible! We thank you for all the participation thus far in this community and hope that we continue to deliver the action and excitement you've come to expect from Urgent Fury. We invite you to the "Invite Night" party here on the forum where, as it's become somewhat of an unwritten tradition, the forum fills up with the most forum-users from the Community than you see any other time of the year. To all those clans hoping to gain an invite to the upcoming UF Crucible tourney: There have been some slight "tweaks" to some match play for the upcoming UF Crucible tourney. Some of the MODES have been modified. The old screen shots have been removed and new ones put up in their place. The new screen shots with the updated parameters are the solid parameters that will be running throughout the course of the UF Crucible. Please make sure that your clan is fully aware of these changes, especially if you have been getting yourself familiar with the parameters in scrim play. Thank you. - TOW

Yes, the podcast will be up at 10pm CST tonight, Wednesday. Sharp? We're hoping so....but if it's 10pm CST "dull," don't hate us. We always try our best to please. - TOW I'd say "good luck," but that's really all your job and doesn't sound right coming from me. So I'll just say "thank you for signing up, everyone." We had a great batch of clans to pick from, and we certainly hope the newcomers to this Community find what they were looking for.

Let's not get too crazy here. All we need is Havoc getting too hopped up on the sauce one night and he'll give all of your recommendations a try. I just say, for $20.....if you want it, buy it. Don't, then let it go. If you do buy it, I'm sure you can TAKE it to someone who knows better to ask them.

OMG Do you need a knife to cut that cheese, cause I don't think there's one big enough. I'll admit, sometimes my cheese has to be cut with a guilletine! LOL

I disagree. But hey, any of us can be wrong. I just take it for what it is at the end of the day, and i tuned in to be entertained.....and perhaps somewhat inspired. I was both of those things by the end of the show, so it delivered for me.

Naw, I don't think it's staged. I think the competitions are real. I know they ham up the speeches a lot, and I think the competitors do that at the producers' requests....but I think the actual competitions are real. I don't see "fake" or "scripted" when I see that first girl on the first challenge twisting her knee and the Marine woman later on cutting her head open in the water, bleeding down her face.

LOL...I just got done watching the episode and was quivering looking at some of those gladiators! Holy shit! Honestly, depending on the events, I think I would do "ok," (depending on who my competitor was, of course), but I tell ya, that Eliminator or whatever the final event is called....I think that would have done me in. Kudos to those who finished. And I was so let down tonight. I thought my friend would have been on it and felt so JIPPED that he wasn't yet! LOL Ah well, Monday has an episode as well, so we'll see.

No, we have not yet done a live podcast and something like that is not on our immediate schedule. We like the production value to be top-notch for Urgent Frequency, so it will usually be pre-recorded.

There, Commander Fury will be reading off the invitations for all the clans of both Black IV and the UF Crucible. And the winners for th sig and theme contest? Yes, yes, those will be announced on the podcast as well.

Yes, I did try out, but at this point, I don't think I made the cut. That's ok, though. In hindsight, it might have worked out better for me, because if I DID go on there, I can only guess that you all would pull up screen shots of all my follies on the show and post them here on the forum! ;D

Hey there everyone! Well, the day is finally creeping up on us! This Wednesday, January 9th, will be the night that the invitations for entry into both Black IV and the UF Crucible will be released. I'd also like to confirm that, once again, Commander Fury will be reading off the invitations over a special Invite Night Urgent Frequency Podcast! Also on the podcast, Cmdr. Fury will be releasing the names of the winners of the sig and theme making contests, which are now closed. It's always kind of a fun night around here on the forum on Invite Night for ANY of our tourneys. That's the night, for some of you newcomers, where we see the MOST forum users logged in on any given night. With every new tourney event, that number gets a little bigger. Since this Wednesday is going to be invite night for TWO tourneys, we may see a new record set. The following is a link to my friend Mark Baker's profile page on the American Gladiators site. We play volleyball on the beach from time to time. I actually only met him last year through friends, but he pretty cool. He believes he should be either on this Sunday's episode or the following one, but here is a link to his profile: http://www.nbc.com/American_Gladiators/contestants/mark_baker.shtml He's under contract to not reveal to anyone how he did, so I'm eager to see the show. What I DO know is that on the vball court, he can get frustrated pretty easily. I like to play into his head a lot. So I'm wondering if he's going to get frustrated at any point on the show as well. Anyway.....there ya go. Student wants to be a model.....friend wants to be a gladiator......MAN I should get my ass on a show! Always come in three's! LOL

I was a fan and still am a fan of the completely bordered sigs. Everything enclosed in a gated area without anything popping out. Sniper made much fun of me for liking this and said I couldn't move forward. LOL I simply think some people DO get carried away with it and make them too tall or too distracting. I like sigs that signify who you are at-a-glance....not sigs that say HEY LOOK AT MEEEE! I make APC sigs that are both popping out of the border area as well as some that are completely enclosed. It all depends on the sig and the player. I won't, however, feel "obligated" to have to make EVERYTHING pop out simply because everyone else is doing it.
