It's funny... ...Urgent Fury's application process is well-thought out and, above all, exclusive. You all know this, as Urgent Fury is one of the few tourneys who implement the invitation process and do it well. We take cues from other questionnaires that other organizations utilize in order to get a gauge on certain people in the specific things we look for. Whether the answer is good or bad really depends on the question, actually. Call it a very loose psych-profile. That being said....it's interesting to see some of the creative, "comical" answers to some of the questions in your applications that some might deem unnecessary when they thought up whimsical answers for them....when in reality, those questions and answers CAN potentially be make-it/break-it when it comes down to invite-night. In short, there are REASONS for the questions being asked and there are most certainly REASONS why, good or bad, the answers should be truthful in every way possible. .............................................and that's all I'll say about that at this time. :-X - TOW

I disagree. They add an element to the evaluation tourneys that prevent it from being just a run n gun because that's all we would allow. Making it guns ONLY makes the confrontation too oe-dimensional.

Friend of mine wants to buy her brother a gaming headset. He plays PC games only. She was looking for something in the roughly $75.00 - $100.00 price range. Do you guys have any PERSONAL accounts of good headsets that you can let me know about that I can pass along to her? Thank you.

No, it's fine to ask, and thanks for bringing it up. We will most likely make an amendment in the rules to accomodate that distinction. But no....NO explosive grenades will be allowed in any capacity.

1: Not sure, because I'm too lazy right now to go look at the pic. 2: The projection is 16 clans to be invited. Â This is in the rules. 3: The time lapse is to give the tourney enough time to get enough CoD4 clans here. Â Be a waste to have only a 2-week time period for sign-ups and only 10 clans find the sign-ups for this tourney in time. 4: There is no need for "mandatory" scrims to be set up, because Crucible (Like UF: Black IV) is an evaluation-tourney by nature. Â A clan MUST participate in a Crucible or a Black BEFORE they can gain entry into a CoD4 or SOCOM tacmap tourney here at UF. We're not entirely interested in "making time pass." Â We're more interested in making sure that EACH tourney is top-notch....so we will never rush anything or put something out there for the hell of it. 5: Ok. Â

Here's a question..... Currently, I have reached the Level 55 stage and I do not wish to restart into Prestige at this time because I don't want to lose all the weapons and perks I have gained. However....my experience points continue to build with each game, even though I will not get to a Level 56. Now.....if I continue to build upon the XP that I have through a Level 55 for, say, 3-4 months....amassing a ton of XP.....if I choose to THEN start over into Prestige mode, will it automatically bump me up to a level 10 or 20 or 30 IN Prestige mode as it pro-rates all the XP I've earned while at Level 55, or will it not matter, and when I start over, no matter when, will I be starting over at a 0-plain again? Because if it DID pro-rate what I had amassed while staying at Level 55, I'll continue to do it. Then perhaps when I DO switch it over to Prestige, perhaps when I do I will automatically be given a ton of weapons and perks because of all the XP I'd already accumulated....?

BEST I could do. I like my 8MP camera, but a capture card would have worked better any day of the week. But none of the Staff had one.....so there you go. If you can read it, then it has served its purpose.

I went to the Windy City Fieldhouse here in Chicago about 3-4 months ago when they were doing open tryouts for contestants for the show. Had us doing obstacle course shit and reflex tests and stuff. If I get called, I'll see if I can wear a UF bandana. LOL

Today, Sunday, the podcast will be updated. This week sees Cmdr. Fury FINALLY tackling both Sniper and I on a good day and held a phone interview with the two of us. It was VERY cool being able to talk with him one-on-one for an extended period of time like that (which SHOULD prompt some of you to get moving on those UF Sig Contest submissions!), and I'm hoping that Sniper and I provided him with some good material for the UFrequency podcast. It was completely cold. Sniper and I did not have an idea of the questions we would be getting....and we preferred it that way (until the good Cmdr. came to a question or two that made us hesitate a bit.....LOL), so we hope it all comes out a-o-k.
