  1. Due to the SEVERE lag and server issues caused by the downloading and implementation of the patch, UF is canceling ALL WARS. All Black Wars and all Hell Week wars are CANCELED tonight. An announcement will be made tomorrow for all Black January participants in regards to their canceled wars. We apologize for the stitch in the tourney tonight, but as you know, this is beyond our control.
  2. I'm tellin' ya. Sometimes this can be fixed with a router reset. Seriously. Not kidding..... My download was 25 mins at 6:30pm
  3. All my members I sent invites to are in the room. It seems like it helps if, after the patch, you head into a server first, then go to your messages. They pop up then.
  4. Can anyone here verify whether or not Socom GAME INVITES are not able to be sent AND/OR received because of server issues tonight? I am getting reports that they are not.
  5. We understand that and that is why everyone can also refer to the actual clan player LIST. This should solve any problems.
  6. Mine took about 25-30 mins. Going to wait a bit before logging on.
  7. I'm tellin' some of you....reset yhour routers!
  8. Just as long as you're not talking about 'magnificent muscle milk...'
  9. So wait, the D pad lean is back like in old socoms? Isn't this good news, considering leaning the whole controller worked like garbage?
  10. Maximus, permission is GRANTED! ....As long as you also include a trendy dinner offering dish, calling it 'General Tow's Chicken' that also comes with a strawberry Havteenie martinie, all for $8.99.
  11. You may need some muscle milk.
  12. Is there a reason for changing it? The NV, I mean?
  13. I don't know how much this will add to the convo here, and not entirely sure of the scientific value of this input, but I have just decided that the lady will now have to refer to my ejaculate as my 'magnificent muscle milk' when we're playing dirty. Ok, back to the protein pow-wow. .........ok, I'm going to have to demand that she refer our sex to 'protein pow-wow' from now on as well.
  14. I think it depends on your connection. A RVN member downloaded it in 9 minutes this morning. Your mileage may vary. What I have always found helpful before a patch or game download is to reset your router. I am someone that leaves my router on at all times, so a reset can be refreshing for it.
  15. I liked Muscle Milk, used them for a few months. My gym carries them as well as a local convenience store around the corner from where I teach. I ONLY drank them right after a heavy lifting workout when I knew I could not get home within 30 mins to replenish my body with protein. I did not bother with Muscle Milk after a cardio work out...just lifting. If I know I am heading right home after the gym, then I don't bother with the Muscle Milk. I'll usually just get home, have two glasses of milk while I make some chicken or pork. Ample protein right there. When you drink Muscle Milk, you don't do it to 'build' muscle...you do it to repair the muscle you tore during your work out. With the amount of calories in a Muscle Milk, I wouldn't suggest it without a work out. MUCH, MUCH better than Muscle Milk is a protein drink (flavored water type drink, not a milk or shake) called Isopure. JUST as much protein (about 40 grams) but without the calories that Muscle Milk has. I dropped Muscle Milk once I discovered Isopure and have never looked back. Again, I only drink Isopure ONLY after a weight work out when I know I will not be able to eat within 30 mins. Remember TOO much protein is BAD for you. A 220 lb man who strength trains needs approx. 100-140g protein per day. NEVER to exceed 200g per day. It can severely stress kidneys and also leads to calcium loss in the urine which leads to premature bone decay.
  16. UF community, Those involved tonight in any Black January, Hell Week wars will need to make sure that you have the necessary numbers in your clan download the 1.30 Socom patch, released today, before they log on for war. No UF war will be cancelled tonight because of the patch or server issues related to the patch. As there are no single elimination playoffs tonight that could potentially be crucially affected by server issues, all wars tonight go as-scheduled so that the integrity of the schedule does not get compromised. Please pass this on to your clan members so they know to take care of their patch download well before their scheduled match. - TOW
  17. There has been a slight addition to the match parameters, specifically, what constitutes a win in the event that the match ends in a tie in rounds, which originally was not covered in the parameters. The change below is BOLDED. The new version of this rule appears as: In order to pass UF: Hell Week, you MUST win at least ONE war in your five-night experience. All matches are scored by ROUNDS WON. In the event of a tie, no matter which team Socom "declares" as the winner, the clan being evaluated will count that as a loss. If you do not, even if you embody the principles of UF, you will still have to re-take your Hell Week and you must re-submit an application for it. Thank you. - TOW
  18. No, Lockdown....just one really....REALLY sticky one.
  19. ALL you guys are just so complex! If I get TKed at the beginning of the round, I thank that player in me head for doing that and then use the remaining 5:52 minutes of the round to sit back and rub one out. By next round, I'm too mellow to care about a TK.
  20. Yeah, I thought Herb'n Legend was pretty original.
  21. I have never poisoned my body with a foreign substance.
  22. I think this topic creeps up every now and then. But through your years of playing SOCOM, what name changes, even the most minute, have you had in the order in which you made them? I'll start it off. 1: Dirge113 (Socom 1) 2: Undertow (Socom 1) 3: x-Dirge-x (Combined Assault) 4: o-UNDERTOW-o (PS3 debut and onward)
  23. No, we always post the rosters for all to see. The Black admins will have those up by tonight. Thank you for bringing that to light. -TOW
  24. Eh, again, saw no lag in the Hell Week war that Ravenfall handled for incoming clan Enemy Lines. We showed 'em what to expect in the competition found here with Urgent Fury clans. But yes, it was GOOD to get some fresh clan warring in here in 2009. Things just felt 'refreshed' in a way, I guess. Call outs were crisper, gun battles were more tense.....everything was great. I'm looking forward to checking out the advancements in the Horsemen bracket as well. Hope everyone' 09 war was exciting!
