My daughter keeps asking me when the snow is coming. I keep telling her I hope never. But I know Chicago is not gonna be that lucky.

So getting a better wireless router won't really make a huge difference? Unless I get a gigabyte router and hardwire my PS3? And I'm not sure if Comcast offers a gigabyte modem. I could be wrong as I have not called them. I'm just going on some forums I read. But then they start talking in another language and don't know if they do or not. lol

So a better router makes a difference? Because I probably have one of the cheapest ones out there.

http://www.psxextreme.com/ps3-news/10479.html Ready for the new generation of consoles? No? Too bad. According to the latest reports, both Microsoft and Sony will show off their new consoles at E3 this year. The Wii U will also be on hand, which means this should be the first time in E3's history that three all new pieces of hardware will be on display. We had heard Microsoft might unleash their new console at the end of 2012, and Sony has said numerous times that they don't wish to be last to market in the next generation. The only downside is that sources say we shouldn't expect pricing or release details at E3; those specifics won't come until later. The Wii U price is expected to be revealed around June. So now comes the speculation: what will Sony do with the PlayStation 4? Are they going to keep Blu-Ray? We wouldn't be looking at an all-new format, would we? And what about Microsoft? They can't possibly keep the already outdated DVD format for the next Xbox, right? And the price points will be all sorts of important...let's not make another $600 machine, Sony. So, you up for a peek? ____________________________________________________________________________________________ I'm not ready for a new console. lol I'm happy with my PS3. But the thought of a better console that does even more is hard to imagine. I really think the PS3 is just an amazing piece of technology. Anyone here going to E3 this year?

Yea, it's MW3. And it seems that every time I get into matches via the party system, it sometimes takes whole clips to drop someone. If I'm lucky. But when I play alone, two-three shot and I drop them. Which is what the game promotes. So it has nothing to do with a better router or even paying for higher speeds? Because I would be willing to get a top of the line router for this, because I have serious anger issues when it comes to shooters. I can't explain it, but I rage out to where I want to break things. And I know it is completely insane. But I can't pay for higher speeds, but a better router I would.

When your in a party, can it cause lag on your end as opposed to playing alone? Even if it's with just one other person? It seems that when I party up, I can't play for shit. But then I started paying attention and it looked like my hit detection was off. It was taking too many bullets to drop people. So if it is caused by being in a party, is it on my end? I mean, do I need a better router or something. Or is it caused by someone else in the party?

Why can't we get all of this on a modern shooter?!!

Speaking of the PS store... If you ordered Angry Birds when it first came out, there has been an update to the game. This is old news, but I just took advantage of it yesterday and they sent me a replacement code today. http://www.psnstores.com/2011/09/the-final-word-on-angry-birds/ Kudos to the customer support on this one.

2012 is gonna be a great year for shooters. Especially third person shooters. SOCOM may be dead, but 2012 may find a replacement.
-
I see Sony re-releasing SOCOM 1 and 2 on the PSN store. They already have several PS2 games up there already. What concerns me is that SOCOM 1 and 2 also had a SP campaign. So they might release these games, but without the MP side.

Plus, the PS3 headset has a separate control for other peoples mics. There is a main volume control and a volume control that you can set for more game sounds and less mics, or vice versa.

I couldn't get any of the trade offers to work. But then again, didn't this end on the 21st. So it's too late now.

How in the Hell did I miss this story? This is just full of awesomeness!! http://www.joystiq.com/2011/09/30/guy-chokes-a-kid-after-being-made-fun-of-in-black-ops-were/ We read in horror today the story of Mark Bradford, a 46-year-old, jobless father of three from Plymouth, Devon (UK). After being killed and then taunted by a 13-year-old opponent in Call of Duty: Black Ops, Bradford tracked down his teenage opponent (in real life) and proceeded to mercilessly choke him. The attack was luckily thwarted by the teen's mother and Bradford later admitted to one count of assault. It's a grim story, and simply inexcusable. A grown man attacking a child like this turns our stomachs and should turn the stomach of any responsible, caring human. This is the end of our post on the matter, and it in no way continues after the break. ...OK, they're gone. Sorry, we can't be too careful and our bosses never read after the jump. Here's our real post. We need to first apologize about what we said about Mark Bradford, because Mark Bradford is mother-fucking Batman. Listen to this quote from him: "I'd been playing the whole day and he was baiting me and baiting me and just would not shut up. He went on and on and I just lost it." Ever felt that way about some wretched, homophobic kid who has nothing better to do than play video games, eat barbeque potato chips and taunt employed people? Yeah, so has everybody. But only Mark Bradford had the sheer will and determination to find this punk's address, get in his car and pour that little asshole a refreshing Choke-a-Cola. We hope shithead kids tell stories in hushed whispers about Mark Bradford. "No, no, he came for my friend Danny! He teabagged him like 40 times and like 30 minutes later, an eight-foot-tall guy in a trench coat shows up and made him eat 40 literal tea bags ... at gunpoint. It's true!" To Mark Bradford: We know you're going to catch some flak from people who've never suffered in the way you were forced to, but know that we're preparing a banquet in your honor when you get out of the clink. To the kid who we hope now permanently talks with a rasp: When you act like a shithead to someone twice your size, they may try to kill you. Welcome to the last 2.5 million years of human evolution.

Your trade worked and completed my set. Thanks. If you need more, I have duplicates. Try to send another trade request. But I don't know if it will work since I don't need anymore.

I think this trade worked. Let me know.

Can you try it again? It told me it was no longer valid.

I can't copy my PS Mini's and PS1 Games to my PSP
IRISH BULL replied to IRISH BULL's topic in Playstation
Yea, I know that works. But it's soooo much faster to just plug the PSP into the PS3 and hit copy. It takes like three seconds. I'm more pissed that I have to go through my DL'd list to transfer the games I want on my PSP. I was gonna have to reinstall them on PSP because I just renewed my PS Plus account, it's just gonna be a pain in the ass now. -

Nevermind. I just found out Sony gave us the big middle finger. I guess they have big plans for the PSVita. -
Anyone else having this issue? I thought it had something to do with my PS Plus subscription being renewed, but I don't think that is the case. I read an old thread on the EU PS forums that said you have to re-DL'd the game and then the option to copy will be there. But as of now, when I hit triangle, "copy" does not show up.

It took me a little bit, but I finally found this thread. When I first of heard of http://www.lastofus.com/, I thought of this thread.
