I can see that, but he also won 13 games last season on a HORRIBLE Royals team. He has broken records this year....... He has more complete games than any other CLUB put together. The closest pitcher is Halladay with 2. His ERA is lower thru 9 games than any pitcher since Juan Marichal in 1966. (9-0 .59 ERA) It's funny, cause in today's paper he did an interview after the game. Zack isn't........talkative. He said that he watched Verlander pitch yesterday, and realized that in 100 at bats against him, he may not get a base hit. He said it calmed him down realizing that his stuff was that good, and he didn't need to worry about staying ahead of the hitters. He just knew he could go out and locate any one of his pitches for strikes. I am excited, and while I understand why Halladay is in the convo, I don't think it will stay that way for much longer.

Sure, the central is garbage right now. But it isn't the ONLY division Greinke has dominated. Bottom line, there are still alot of big name hitters that just can't touch the kid. I am sure that's what the pundit's are saying though, so thanks Churchy.

I just watched Zack Greinke win his 8th game, and throw his 5th complete game last night. His ERA crept all the way up to .84 from .82 after allowing a run to score in the 1st. The pundits keep saying it's Halladay's to lose, but I don't get that. They both have pitched 75 innings, and Zack has 4 more complete games (5), 18 more K's (81), and the same record but sporting an ERA that is 1.68 LESS than Halladay. I guess I don't get to watch enough of the Jays, so is there a REASON that Roy has the edge for a pitching award? Lemme here it UF!

What the NYTimes Says May Be Damaging Children
[-VR-] Tool_Minion replied to [RVN] 6raVIty's topic in Playstation
As the father of two teenage daughters, I can tell you that this IS in fact an issue. CD, CoC, you can defend it all you want, but the facts are that kids simply do not have the tools available to them to show the proper moderation over texting. It gives them the instant gratification they desire, and they don't know HOW to turn the phone off and limit their own usage. My daughters (if gone unchecked) would stay up half the night texting, would NEVER get their homework done, and would basically cease to communicate in any other form. They require me to moderate it as they haven't had to deal with the consequences that come with their own irresponsibility. I've seen my oldest (15) have her grades fall off dramatically due to using her cell in school. Now Im not naive enough to believe texting is the ONLY reason her grades have slipped, but magically when I remove her cell from the equation she suddenly becomes very studious. Her GPA rebounds, then she gets the phone back and all the sudden they start to slip again. Anyway, in my personal experience, texting is in no way HELPING America's youth. Good post there Polar. -
Respectively Hog, me and you BOTH know your a staunch Republican and will take every and any opportunity to express your distaste for Obama. It's OK. I don't mind in the slightest, let's just be real. It was a politically charged comment you made, and I know damn well that you took it as an opportunity to 'Bama Bash'. And all that said, thank you for your service to this country. I respect you and your opinions due to your commitment, even if I don't agree.

Politics are not permitted at UF for exactly this reason. So let me get back to what we do best. OWNED!!!! ;D

I disagree with ALL of you!! (never saw THAT coming, did ya?) This is cool as......just..........AMAZING! I don't care that they took a classic American Auto and vilified it with foreign parts. Hell half of you do that already when you put a new headlight in! This is a 1000+ HP Camaro. It's awesome no matter HOW they did it.

Naw, Goat it was in NO WAY me trying to shame people. It was honest surprise. I am used to coming back from my selfish weekends of women, weed, and drink to see a thread saluting OUT LOUD our patriots. It always makes me feel like a shit for being so selfish. So I went a different route this year, and just was...........surprised. That's all.

I'm in no way hating............I admitted I spent less time worrying about what we HAVE the holiday for than I did picking out my clothes. It's just that THIS community is always so gung-ho about our military and showing support for it. I was suprised that less people HAD responded. That's all.
-
Wow, kinda surprised in this community only 7 people thought it was pertinent to give a shout to our Defenders of Freedom..... I used this as I do most holidays. I spent less time thinking about the men and women who have given their lives to make sure I can sit here and give my opinion freely than I did about what I would wear to work today. All that said, I DID think about them. I didn't know them, and I felt sad about that. So, I looked up a couple of them today, and decided to share their stories with you. Spc. Ross McGinnis: http://www.hqusareur.army.mil/heroes/Spc_Ross_McGinnis_MOH.pdf Major Steven Hutchison: http://arkansasmatters.com/common/printerfriendly.php?cid=221671 Thank you to all who serve in my place.

They made it about God and Satan IMO. Jacob seems to be the benevolent creator, and the other guy seems that his sole purpose is to show that humans are not worthy of the island or it's secrets. The fact that they have some sort of pact that doesn't allow the guy to KILL Jacob seems to point to this, as well as the good vs evil theme of the episode. Notice how Jacob was there during turning points to all the island inhabitants lives? Sounds like a bible story to me. He didnt interfere with the tragedies they incurred, but he was there for them during those times.... It's either that or they are an alien civilization sent to study humans up close and personal.

Thats because she is rocking not only the Vitality perk, but the Immortal perk. Her health is at 258!

Even while typing the words I knew it was coming, but it was either Chiefs or Raiders, and if I remember correctly, Nacku is a raiders fan... and I tend to avoid crossing those who fancy calling themselves "big money". :-X LOL, the Raider's are BY FAR the shittier team. Even BMN will admit the Faider's are FUUUKed until Al Davis croaks. Neo, I am newer to the community and to Socom. I play because that is what my CLAN plays, and to me that aspect is more important. If I want to play a game that isn't necessarily a 'clan' style format, I will play Madden, Baseball, or Tiger Woods. I expect that a game will come out soon enough that will drag even the most die-hard socom patron to it kicking and screaming because it delivers everything we all want so badly. This game will be: Glitch free, Rank free, respawn free, the most amazing graphics ever seen, flawless gameplay, level equalizers so talent is no longer necessary, no GL's, land mines that take 30 seconds to plant,(ya gotta dig ya know?) claymores that have triggers that can be set and left, (although they will be able to kill YOUR teammates! WOW realistic!) Sniper rifles that have scopes that are usable, no f90 or other small 90 round gun that kills everyone from across the map even though it has the true range of a pellet gun, and a GOD DAMNED DESERT EAGLE THAT ACTUALLY BLOWS HALF YOUR OPPONENTS BODY OFF WHEN HIT BY IT! I will play socom till that game comes out.

Dana just informed me that this would be my last year..... They force you to retire! I am (currently) 32-7 and the 3-time HWC. I've defended it 7 times in a row now, and I guess it's time for me to make a new player. :'(

L3 (click down on the left thumbstick) runs. I usually run over, and auto-stand over the top of em and bash the ever living shit outta them.
-
That is an option.
-
Thank the Uprising for that. They surrounded us early, and wouldn't let us go play with any of the other boys and girls.
-
Well if you feel froggy.........
-
Thanks to the Uprising. Man you boys were tough! Good luck to all the remaining clans, and we will see you all next time. Thanks to Dub and Bandit for making sure everything ran smooth, you boys are doing a GREAT job. Thanks UF! We had a blast.

I took some time off yesterday to play.........been awhile since I did that for any game. Im now the 2-time Heavyweight Champ and my next defense is against Brock (I hate that cock-sucker) Lesner. I played from noon to 4 yesterday. It's just got so MUCH. Like in alot of games, when you train, its just to pad your players stats. In this game, you actually work on goals, and you prepare different for EACH fighter. Just going out there and trying to kick em in the head only gets you so far.
-
I was up till 2:30AM playing this. Sure, I didnt get started till 11 (frackin kids!) but I can't think of another game that has gripped my attention like this yet. I only started Career mode (10-2), but man is it expansive. You decide how much to train, what kind of exercises you partake in, all the while being mindful of how much energy you have to take into the fight. There is also cross training with other UFC stars and camps, photo shoots, signings, and events that they want you to attend. What earned me both my losses was helping Dana White out on short notice. He put me in the ring with guys I simply wasn't prepared for, and they ate my lunch! All in all, one of the best games (if not THE best) I have ever played on the PS3.

PS3 Yellow Light Of Death HOME FIX!!!!!
[-VR-] Tool_Minion replied to Johnson30's topic in Playstation
There is no fix. ;D
