  3. yes it was a poorly written article.
  4. assuming it happens before i leave for a week on sat, i will be playing the crap out of socom4 multi.
  5. I like to hit diff news sites around the world to hear their take on it. BBC reports that 30-40 US navy seals came in on helicopters from afganistan under pakistani radar and repelled onto the roof of the complex. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-13256676
  6. liars... hehe. maybe japan is back on? initially they said japan would come online first, not sure if that is still true.

  8. can anyone verify? this article is from today... -------- As part of the initial restoration, users can now play online PS3 games, access the console's Music Unlimited streaming music service, log onto Playstation Home, see their friend list, and engage in text and video chats. http://www.tgdaily.com/games-and-entertainment-features/55683-ps3-online-services-slowly-being-restored

  10. Sony announced today that the head of its gaming division will make a statement Sunday afternoon Tokyo Time to address the PlayStation Network outage. Kazuo HiraiKazuo Hirai, executive deputy president, will brief the media on Sony's investigation into the security breach, PSN security measures, and service restoration plans at a news conference scheduled for 2 p.m. Tokyo Time (10 p.m. tonight Pacific Time). The conference will undoubtedly draw a lot of attention despite its hour, especially after numerous agencies, including the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Congress and officials at Taiwan's capital, Taipei have expressed concern about the security issues involved in the downing of the PlayStation Network and Qriocity online services. more after the jump... ----------------------- http://www.pcworld.com/article/226782/sony_exec_to_address_playstation_network_outage.html
  11. lol. that described 90% of hollywood celebs
  12. True, but to get the extra pick you have to complete the trade. They didn't. If something illegal happened here the NFL would have stepped in.
  13. In the end it didn't change anything. The bears wanted carimi and he fell to them anyway- they thought kc was going to get him which is why they were trying to trade up to baltimore's spot. then jimmy smith fell to bal which is who they wanted. it made for some drama but nothing more. my team (Eagles) are royally screwing up this draft. rnd 1: a canadian guard who will be 27 years old in Nov who has played 4 years of organized football in his life. rnd 2: saftey out of temple who would have been on the board in round 4, while desperately we need a corner and Brandon Harris is still on the board. typical andy reid trying to outsmart everyone else. worst draft ever.
  14. yea if i rent a game i don't see having it for more than 2 days. i think it's great.
  15. i haven't watched a bit or read one article. i've seen headlines because they are in my face everywhere but other than that, nothing. no interest here.
  16. yea i was going to say CNet released an article on this too which said $2.
  17. this is some cool news if you asked me! ---------------- Movies won't be the only blockbusters Redbox hosts at its rental kiosks starting this summer. The company has announced it will start renting video games at 21,000 locations beginning June 17. ... http://content.usatoday.com/communities/gamehunters/index?loc=interstitialskip

  19. the blog below has some info on how to set up a vpn with network bridge to atleast play lan games with your friends. did socom4 have a lan option? I think black ops did... http://retardis.blogspot.com/
  20. i've heard rebuild for a while now. it wouldn't take this long to simply implement some new security features.
  21. how about cross game chat or video chat? there is so much speculation going around and any little bit of "news" quoting unnamed sources is being picked up and run with by everyone.... kinda crazy. ------------- What does this mean to members of the PSN subject to identity theft? According to a respected forum poster aka Sony insider, after the rebuild and update, features like video chat and cross-game chat is part of the "we're sorry" campaign. "As we are rebuilding the network, we are taking into consideration in implementing features such as cross game chat and in-game video chat to name a few," the supposed employee said. Not so fast PS3 players; this information has not been confirmed by Sony Corp. as part of the rebuild. Up to this point, the company only indicated the revamp includes added security features. http://technology.gather.com/viewArticle.action?articleId=281474979268196
