First of all Rooster...you're as bad at poetry as you are Socom....lol Sheesh! ;D j/k Ahem*....A poem.... Ode to Chili (If there were no chilis) by Viper If there were no chilis, my cuisine would be so boring. If there were no Chilis, warriors wouldn't be warring. If there were no Chili's, Wiz would be so happy. But alas...an Ode to Chili Palmer, for making Socom so crappy. Thank you. I'm here all weekend. Try the veal. Tip your waitress. http://www.urgentfury.com/uf_forum/index.php?topic=4213.0
  10. I'm surprised someone hasn't pointed you to the good ol >7< Bar & Grill. Though we like to think that "We never close...", you can actually find us in one of the Central Ranked servers, 7 Nights a week....usually between 10p-4a EST. Come on by...and bring a friend.
  11. Quite a shame....but, I digress. Thanks to Tow & Sniper for all the hard work they put into Breakout.
  12. CAN'T...READ...THIS THREAD...TOO MANY FUCKING MOSQUITOES!!!
  13. I think you're missing my point Mal. I'm not saying Lou's faith in his bullpen was misplaced, or that Zambrano should have pitched beyond the 7th inning. All I'm saying is that he was cruising and had only thrown 85 pitches in a CRUCIAL Game 1 (that's right @ 14 pitches an inning...while during the season CZ's pitch count is usually set @ 115 pitches)...and you gotta win Games 1, 2, or 3 to even get to Game 4, much less Game 5. Is it Pinella's fault because the Cubs are not hitting in the Postseason? No. Is it Pinella's fault becuase Ted Lilly, the most consistant SP in the Cubs rotation gave up 6 Runs on 7 Hits in a little over 3 Innings? No. Is it Joe Torre's fault that A-Rod can't hit in the Postseason? No. But, do I think it was a bad, game changing decision to pull Zambrano in the 6th Inning, in a tie ballgame, on the road (where CZ has excelled 12-4 3.06), in Game 1 of the NDLS? Hell yes. And the D'backs couldn't have been happier to see him go. Great manager...bad decision.
  14. I agree in part, with both Umer & Street, but Pinella's mistake IMO, was not the fact that he put Marmol in, but the fact that his Ace (Zambrano) was pitching toe to toe with Webb (his numbers were actually better than his counter part at the time Lou pulled him), and he all but begged Pinella to give him one more inning in a game that was tied 1 all. The actual pitching mistake wasn't even Marmol's fault really, it was Rookie Catcher Geovony Soto who called for a Fastball, when he knew Marmol's Slider was the better pitch. BTW if the current score stands at the time of this post (D'backs lead Game 2 6-2, Top 5), the Cubs now have to return to Wrigley down in the series 2-0.
  15. Yeah, I'm not worried....yet. WTF was Lou thinking? Zambrano's pitching the game of the season, maybe his life...and they pull him out of a tie game after only 85 pitches?!!!! And with the exception of the HR he gave up, he was untouchable...6 IP , 1 BB, 8 Ks.....he was even having a decent night @ the plate 1-2, with a 2B! I know Pinella said it was because they wanted to use him for Game 4...but there's no guarantee there will even be a Game 4! Are you freaking kidding me? WOW. Oh well, Ted Lilly is the real Ace of this rotation anyway...he's been the most consistent Starter the Cubs have had in a while. And if there is a Game 4 (and there will be)...CZ better be "lights out" or Sweet Lou will look like an idiot.
  16. wow, all i can say is wow lol....FEAR, You know I've got mad love for the Sawks...but the Angels are tough...they've got speed(Figgins)...they've got power (Vlad & Anderson)...and they have solid pitching. The Sox do have one of the best lineups in the bigs, and decent gloves in the field...but their pitching is suspect....and in the Postseason...pitching is everything. I want the BoSox to win...but I still say Angels in 5. :'(
  17. ALDS: Indians vs Yankees - Yanks in 5 Red Sox vs Angels - Angels in 5 (Although the BoSox are my other favorite team...I've said since Sept 1, that the Angels will be the team to beat in the Postseason) NLDS: Phillies vs Rockies - Rockies in 5 DBacks vs Cubs - Cubbies in 4
  18. I honestly thought the Pads would squash Colorado on adrenaline alone after the last week of the season. But, I agree....one of the best MLB games I've seen in a while. As for whether Holliday got the dish....I think he did, but just a fraction of it. Great effort by Barrett to block, but I think he got it. See ya' Wednesday smoke! Go Cubs.
  19. The Wolverines are usually my team. But, since I now reside in Kentucky....I have to point out once again...that we live in a world where UK is 5-0...and Notre Dame is 0-5. Anywho...Go Big Blue...doom on the Bucks Sav. Luv ya'!
  20. Hellz yeah...the Sawks are my favorite AL team (Tied with Detroit...I'm from there). The Cubs & the BoSox are really similar in my opinion. They've got a couple of key guys, that they surround with young talent. And in my opinion, Terry Francona is one of the Top 5 managers in the bigs. Good luck to you guys too bro. And I agree, that would be one hell of a World Series.
  21. I'll refrain from any scathing remarks in regard to the Tigers' playoff appearance...or lack thereof. But alot of folks said they wouldn't win the division either. As a Cub fan, I've learned to let the fat lady sing a bar or 2 before countin' em out.
  22. GO CUBS GO! God bless Sweet Lou.
  23. Here is the science TOW, Cumulonimbus Clouds Cumulonimbus clouds are much larger and more vertically developed than cumulus clouds which form in a more stable atmosphere. They can exist as individual towers or form a line of towers called a squall line often present at cold fronts. Underneath they are dark and menacing. At a distance they rise up like huge white mountains when the Sun shines on them, and are commonly topped with anvil-shaped heads. Fuelled by vigorous convection of air in an unstable atmosphere the tops of cumulonimbus clouds can easily reach 12 km or higher. Lower levels of cumulonimbus clouds consist mostly of water droplets while at higher elevations, where temperatures are well below 0°C, ice crystals dominate. During the formation of the larger cumulonimbus, condensation droplets are carried up and down several times within the convection currents inside the cloud before being released, coalescing to form raindrops. The more vigorous the thermal currents inside the cloud, the larger the raindrops which form. Light showers can fall form modest-sized "cauliflower" clouds whilst the larger cumulonimbus clouds can produce heavy downpours. The largest cumulonimbus clouds of all are found in thunderstorms. In these clouds up-currents are so severe that splitting of raindrops and ice crystals can occur before re-coalescing and falling to the ground. It is believed that this may contribute to the build up of electric charge and the occurrence of lightning. Owned!!!...I think.
  24. I'm not sure if I'm offended, confused, or just mildly entertained. Either way....DAYAMN!
  25. And don't let Tow fool ya'....from what I hear...he has some connections @ Sony, and we may all indeed get the facts we're looking for...and then some . But, that's all I'm going to say about it, because he'll hire Ninja's to kill me in my sleep.
